The Doctor and Rainbow: A Town to Silent
Chapter 1: The Day Before Silence
The town was very busy today. Whole streets were crowded with people. Rainbow and Doctor were squeezing in and out of gaps in the crowd of people. Once and a while they would see a child run past soon followed by other children. They were heading to the market to get some food. They had arrived the night before and had stayed and they would leave tomorrow after breakfast. After a while they finally found the market. It wasn't as crowded, oddly. They walked over to a stand that sold fruits and vegetables. The Doctor didn't like the fact that Rainbow was going to stay a vegetarian and not even try meat.
"I'll have a few of those," Rainbow said pointing at three red, lumpy fruits. They looked good to Rainbow so she thought she'd try some.
"That will be three notes," the stand owner said. Rainbow went into her pockets and pulled out three slips of paper and handed them over to the stand owner. He took the paper and handed her the fruit. The Doctor was looking at a stand with what looked like fish. Then he quickly looked around for a stand that sold anything that was custard. Nothing. So he ordered what looked like a celery stalk. Rainbow Dash had taken a bite out of her fruit and kept chewing. She thought it tasted good. She wasn't sure about the Doctor and what he'd think about the taste. They went and sat at a table near a small building. The building was rickety and old. The shutters hung on one hinge. Windows were smashed and the roof had caved in.
"So how are you liking it here so far," The Doctor asked chewing on the celery shaped food. He spit it out instantly. "Ugh, that wasn't celery," he said. Rainbow chuckled and toke another bite from the fruit.
"Well I grew up in Cloudsdale then moved to Ponyville," she said," I had the chance to have my own house. Well I toke it and really did enjoy all the open space. Here it's just to crowded."
"Well we'll only be here until tomorrow, hopefully," he said.
"What do you mean hopefully," Rainbow asked.
"Well the TARDIS did take us here for a reason," he said," and the TARDIS never takes me anywhere without a reason." Rainbow didn't understand what The Doctor had just said. She didn't understand a lot the Doctor said but I guess that was because she didn't understand the Doctor at all.
"Whatever," she said as she bit into the fruit again. The Doctor just gave her a quizzical look.
"What do you mean whatever," he said.
"I mean whatever it doesn't matter," she said tossing what was left of the fruit. It was almost completely edible.
"Well it does matter to me," he said pointing his thumb at himself.
"Not to me," she said. She didn't find it anymore important than fighting with Twilight over which was better unicorns or pegasi.
"Well it will if the TARDIS is right and there is something bound to happen," The Doctor said. He sometimes didn't understand why Rainbow was so uninterested in these things. Maybe because she hadn't had quite the life before this.
"Just stop arguing about it Doc," Rainbow said. Why was he dragging this argument on and on.
"Fine but i'm sure of it," Doctor said giving himself some praise of some sort.
"Mhm," Rainbow had stopped paying attention to The Doctor. She was looking across the street at a strangely dressed man. He didn't seem to belong there. His hat was tipped over his head a beard hung over his trench coat. His trench coat was a dark green and covered in what looked like mud. His beard was black and he wore boots. The boots were jet black with more mud on them. His pants were covered by the trench coat. He limped as if he had been damaged by some sort of object. His hands were in his pockets. But he seemed too out of place maybe he was cold. The town was a bit chilly.
"-and. Um Rainbow, Rainbow Dash are you paying attention," The Doctor said waving his hand in front of her face. She snapped back to reality.
"Oh yeah definitely," she said looking right at The Doctor.
"Okay well as I was saying -" the Doctor went off into a long lecture of the TARDIS and how it knows where to take him if he doesn't know where to go. Rainbow had looked back to where that man had been. He was gone so she just drifted in and out of a thinking state. As night started to fall they headed back to the TARDIS.
"I hope you know where you're sleeping," Doctor asked?
"Yeah, downstairs," she said remembering what The Doctor had said.
"Good, and," The Doctor continued.
"And good night Doctor," she said with a little doubt.
"I'll take it," he said as they approached the TARDIS he opened the door for Rainbow and let her inside. Rainbow quickly ran down the stairs of the TARDIS. "Good night to you to Rainbow," he said as he went over to where he slept time to time. It was rare for him to sleep during days that there was trouble and problems. But as soon as he laid down he was out like a light. Rainbow soon climbed into bed after a quick look at something she set by her bed. An orange feather, belonging to a friend of hers. She would miss Scootaloo so much. But she would see Scootaloo eventually.
"Good night Scootaloo," she said. She lied down and closed her eyes. She dreamed of Scootaloo upset with her leaving. Losing all care for who Rainbow was. It was no longer a dream it had become a nightmare.

Rainbow Dash sat in the TARDIS her arms crossed and her head in her arms. She was crying but no one knew why. Then she felt it. A hoof, not a hand, a hoof on her shoulder. She turned to meet the eyes of Pinkie Pie.
"P-pinkie," Rainbow said wiping her eyes," Pinkie is that you?" And then it all changed. Pinkie's body crumpled up like paper and disappeared and a long laugh reverberated throughout the TARDIS. It got louder and louder until it suddenly stopped. Out of the shadows stepped the Doctor, but something was off. His hair was messier than usual, he had cuts in his clothes and in his hands he held what looked like her cutie mark on a chain. He yelled at something that wasn't visible to her.
"You've finally done it Master show yourself. I'm not letting you ruin anymore lives," the Doctor pulled out a device from his pockets. It was small and looked like a box. Then from behind her stepped a man. His hair a mess, he wore a jet black suit and tie but what he had scared her the most. In his hand hung a tuft of hair. It looked like it was cut clean off the head. The hair was multicolored but singed in many places.
"Now Doctor," the man spoke with a smug look on his face," I haven't ruined any lives of any kind." The Doctor glared at this man.
"Yes you have," he points to the hair," you ruined hers."
"Oh Doctor, Doctor, Doctor, Doctor. Don't you get it her life was already ruined. I just ended it."
"Why did you do it?"
"Revenge, Doctor. That's why I killed her," the man held up the hair," you've always said you were not the kind of time lord to act without reason. You always said that you would never change time. Well you can right now." The Doctor raised the box he held in his hand and flipped it open. In it sat a stone. On it read the words no more. A tear rolled down his face and he looked up at the Master.
"And I won't change it. Not for her," The Doctor said. He put the chain he held in his pocket and raised his fists.
"Oh I do enjoy a good fist fight," The Master said as he dropped the hair and raised his fists," do tell Rainbow Dash that it was great meeting her for that split second of time we spent." They both threw a punch at each other. The Doctor hit the Master in the face and the Master hit the Doctor in the stomach. Then the whole room went black and when the lights came back on the Master was gone but the Doctor was bent over the controls of the TARDIS. He seemed week and at the end of his line. Then his skin started to glow and he looked at the door to the TARDIS.
"Good bye Rainbow Dash," he said as he looked away from the door," good bye.." Then he jolted back and he was engulfed in a bright light. The whole room went completely white and Rainbow Dash jolted awake. She was sweating and she hoped that it was nothing but sweat and maybe some tears. She got up and went upstairs. The Doctor was still sleeping on his chair. Rainbow walked over and grabbed a fresh set of clothes. She went into the bathroom, just in case the Doctor woke up, and got changed.
The Doctor woke up to the sound of a door slamming. He looked up and saw that the bathroom door was closed and that the light was on. He walked over and knocked on the door. From in the bathroom there came a bang and the door opened slightly. "Good morning Rainbow," the Doctor said. Rainbow looked at him with a bit of anger.
"What the hay is wrong with you," Rainbow said nearly throwing the door open. She caught it before it opened far enough. She blushed, with embarassment, at the thought the Doctor may have seen something.
"Well I suggest you not throw that door open. I nearly got a peep at some of those um, human body parts," the Doctor said laughing a bit. Rainbow looked at him and then smiled and then laughed with him.
"Well can I get dressed before we continue talking," Rainbow asked.
"Absolutely, why would I want to talk to you while you're naked," the Doctor asked. Rainbow closed the door and started getting dressed.
Rainbow still wasn't very comfortable with these new additions to her worries. Instead of wings she had to worry about two bulges on her chest that required something like chest straps on them. The Doctor called them bras and said that at some points even men had to wear them. Another thing was the underwear. Instead of it coming attached to the dresses and clothes she had to put them on without any support from three legs. The other thing that bothered her was the new bone structure and the new placement of body parts. She would probably never understand how the humans could live like this. She then slipped on her shirt. It was a long sleeved, dark blue shirt with no printing on it. She put on her jeans and buttoned them up. She looked into the mirror at her hair. It was still rainbow colored but some of the bright color had faded. Her pupils were in the shape of her cutie mark. The Doctor said that every time he had brought a pony out of Equestria they had some sort of physical appearance related to their cutie mark. Apparently Rainbow's physical appearance was her pupils. Her corneas were a rainbow color. She then opened the door and walked out. She started looking at the ground and bumped into the Doctor. The Doctor caught her by the shoulders and tried to help her gain her balance. Instead Rainbow's weight falling compared to the Doctors force trying to pull her up made them both fall. The Doctor instantly got up and brushed his coat off.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to pull you down with me," Rainbow said getting up. She rubbed the back of her neck and looked at the Doctor.
"No it is quite alright," the Doctor said. He then walked to the TARDIS doors," now who's ready for breakfast." As he opened the door and stepped outside he stopped in his tracks. As he looked out at the town he didn't see a single soul in the streets. The whole town had become completely quiet over night and it was already six o'clock in the morning. Usually the early birds were up by then. The Doctor looked at Rainbow who stood there looking at the Doctor with a questioning look. The Doctor then looked back around and ran towards the town as Rainbow followed close behind.
