"Hah! Your Efforts Are Useless! How Dare You Reject My Eternal Night!!!! Now, you and your filly will pay the ultimate price." A loud, booming voice echoed from a large cottage in ponyville. A scream came from the cottage accompanied by a flashing green light. "Now for the filly" said Nightmare Moon with a smirk spread wide across her face. Her horn glowed with immense power as a flashing green light filled the cottage. Nightmare moon had disappeared leaving nothing but a cloak, and a scar on the filly's forehead. That filly's name was Rainbow Dash.
Celestia rose the sun as normal in Equestria. Nothing suggested that today would be abnormal in any way. The sun was shining brightly in the small earth pony town known as ponyville. In a more than normal sized mansion on main street, Filthy Rich was up and getting his coffee from his wife, Gold Digger. Goldy was putting her daughter, Diamond Tiara in her high chair when Filthy Rich came downstairs. "Morning Honey" said Filthy Rich with a slightly tired voice.
"Morning Richy!" said Goldy with a cheerful tone. She handed him his lunch and said, "I put some extra hay on your sandwich, just how you like it! Filthy nodded in thanks as he stared out of the window. An owl flew past the window quickly. Filthy Rich shook his head in disbelief. As Filthy headed out the door, he was caught by surprise as he saw ponies all over the street dressed in robes and tall hats. He took a deep breath and sighed. "It must be a coincidence!" thought Filthy to himself. He walked forwards and swore her heard some ponies talking about Rainbow dash. "Did you hear about Dashie? She stopped she who must not be named! " He decided not to tell Goldy about it and went to work. On his way home he couldn't help but ask Goldy. But he would keep it discreet. " Guess what Diamond said today?" said Goldy gleefully as Filthy walked in the door. "She said no!" Goldy sent out a chuckle. "Hey um Goldy, remember that sister of yours and her awful son?" "Yes!" said Goldy tensing up. Seeing her rage, Filthy quickly said "never mind."
That night, he saw a strange mare. The mare was tall, with a multicolored mane, a white coat, wings, and a horn. Before he could get a good view at her, all the lights on the street went out. Another tall alicorn with a dark flowing blue mane with stars along it walked up to the mare. "Is Fluttershy here?" asked Professor Luna. "Not yet" said Celestia smiling. A tall ,slim yellow pegasus with a pink mane suddenly landed before them. She had the young Rainbow Dash in her arms. "Are you sure we should leave her with them?" asked Luna. "They're the only family she has." Said Celestia calmly. Fluttershy burst into tears. "It's ok Flutters" said Luna smiling. Fluttershy perked up a little bit but was still crying. Celestia put her wing around Fluttershy and smiled. They slowly walked up to the Rich's front door. Fluttershy gave the baby a peck on the cheek and cried heavily. "It's not really goodbye." said Luna smiling at Fluttershy, hoping something could cheer her up. Celestia placed Rainbow on the porch gently, wrapped her remaining wing around Luna, and flew away with both of them.
You could only imagine the surprise on the Riches' faces the next morning.
