Mutation Extermination

Riot's POV

I watched it all, I did it all, I coldn't stop it all. I was walking back with the queen, her personal slave. Celestia died because of me, because I was the distraction, because I could do nothing. 'I have no more use for you' I heard a voice in my head, then the tail on her farthest right lashed out and impaled my stomach. I felt something being drained from me, I looked down to see my blood, not the mutants, pooling on the ground. Everything got blurry, then I fell to the ground. I saw darkness for hours.

Vlad's POV

I looked at the sky, the beautiful night that had started. I heard laughter in the distance, but thought nothing of it. "What do we do now?" Twilight asked, I turned around to look at them. They all stood there, Twilight, Derpy, Mak, Fluttershy, Jewel, Soarin, and Spitfire. This was the beginning of our tiny army.

"Right now we need to focus on getting more help" I said, they all turned back to the castle, underneath was the caves where everypony else is hiding. We started walking towards it, taking our time to enjoy the night, for it might be our last. On our way, I noticed Dr. Sheldon slumped by a wall, his head bleeding.

We hurried over to him, I noticed a strange device on his arm. "Dr. Sheldon? Can you hear me?" Twilight asked, he groaned the opened his eyes.

"T-twilight?" He asked, he looked at the rest of us. He directed his attention to the night sky, his eyes widened. "Oh no, Nightmare Moon is back" he said, we all looked at each other in confusion, then looked back at him.

"What do you mean shes back?" Soarin asked, Sheldon put his hand to his head.

"Chrysalis convinced Luna to turn back into Nightmare Moon, and she did." He said, lowering his head a bit. After a few seconds of shocked silence, he stood up.

"Don't! You need to rest!" Fluttershy said, making the doctor sit back down.

"Perhaps I could be of assistance" Mak said, we moved out of the way. She brought her tail forward, the strange liquid that was inside the other mutants dripped from it. "I absorbed some from another a while ago, just enough for me to slowly regenerate." She said, then a drop fell on his head, it glowed orange for a second.

"Will he go crazy insane like Riot?" Derpy asked, Mak made a smile.

"No, Riot was pumped full of it, I gave Sheldon enough to help his head." I sighed in relief, I looked at Sheldon to see that his wound was closing. He stood up and pressed a button or two on his device.

"What does it do?" I asked, he looked at me.

"It allows pegasi and earth ponies to channel their inner magic, letting them cast spells like a unicorn does." He said, I felt my eyes widden a little. "Got the same reaction from my assistant" he said with a grin. We all headed for the caves, prepared for any surprise attack. Nothing happened as we entered the caves, we heard voices, but they were to distant to understand. We got closer to the voices, staying as quiet as possible.

"You will all obey me now! I am you queen!" We heard some one yell, they were close now. We emerged from the tunnel, what we saw scared us. Queen Chrysalis and Nightmare Moon were standing at the head of the crowd, looking around and yelling 'you obey us now!' In the crowd, changelings were patrolling, keeping them in check. I saw a brave unicorn launch a fireball at Chrysalis, but it was deflected. A changeling flew at him, biting into his neck, instantly killing him.

I did a few finger motions, they nodded and spread out around the area. Once they were in place, I took a deep breath, and stepped out from my cover. "Chrysalis!" She turned towards me.

"Oh hello, you were the one with the wierd accent" she said, I felt a little anger in me, everypony said it was wierd! "Are you here to save the day or something? Cause I highly doubt it" she said, with the nod of her head, three chengelings jumped at me. I pulled my gun up and shot them, all headshots.

"No, I came here to talk" I said, then the others stepped from their hiding places, guns (and tail) aimed at her. "To talk with force" I said, her eyes were wide as moons. She raised her arms in surrender.

"What do you want?" She asked.

"I want you to join us, and help us erradica-GAH" I felt a cold feeling in my back, I elbowed my attacker in the face. Turning around I aimed my gun and shot, killing the Derpy. I felt terrible inside, until I saw her change into a changeling.

"Oh, did you really think she was real? She died a while back! I simply had one of my changelings play as her" she said, I stared at her in anger and rage. "Now the others are real, but I don't have time for them, I got a queen to talk to" she said, changelings started attacking the others, they had no way of getting to me. As Chrysalis was walking past me she kicked my gun away. "Nighty, would you please finish him for me?" She said.

"Yes Chrysalis" Nightmare said, I reached for my gun, but it was just out of reach. I looked back at Nightmare, only to see her fangs in my face.

Nightmare Moon's POV

I bit down on his head, his flesh actually tasted pretty good. I looked at the others, they had finished off the changelings that were attacking them. I laughed and cast my shadow magic, it would kill anypony! Except for one certain mutant that was with them, she stepped forward and absorbed the magic. "One thing about the mutants" she said, a new purple glow around her tail. "We can absorb any liquid or energy thrown at us, including magic!" She said while launching my spell back at me.

I simply stuck out my hand and caught it. "Did you think it would be that easy?" I asked.

"Yea" I heard a voice say from behind, I turned to see a spear impale me. "You were to distracted" Twilight said, I fell to ny knees as I pulled the magical spear out of me.

"I'm sorry Luna, that it came to this" Fluttershy said as she stepped into my view, the others came in front and stood there.

"I-i didn't.....I had to.....I'm sorry" I said before falling to the ground. I felt myself change back into Luna, but no matter what, I was going to die. I closed my eyes, the last thing I felt, was a tear rolling down my face.
