Mutation Extermination

Riot's POV

I just barely bought a huge house just down the street from the library, about a 5 minute walk if I felt like checking out a book. What looks to be a gingerbread house with sweets covering it was also down the other side of the street, 6 minute walk at most.

I was feeling wonderful, the neighbors are so nice, they even invited me over to dinner! This day couldn't get any better, I was living the life, this was way better then Manehatten. I decided a quick walk through town wouldn't hurt, so I set out wondering where to go first. I decided to visit the library, like I said, 5 minute walk. I knocked on the door.

"Be there in a sec!" Came a voice, sounded female, then the door opened, "yes what do you-- oh hello you must be new here, because I haven't seen you around before." She was lavender colored with purple and pink-ish mane. "My name is Twilight Sparkle, what's yours?" Asked Twilight.

"My name is Riot Gunner." I said, shaking her hand.

"Nice to meet you, so where are you living at?" She asked.

"Just down the street in that house right there." I said pointing at my house.

"Hey Twilight who's at the door?" Came a young male voice, I looked past Twilight and saw a little dragon walk towards the door. "Oh hello there, I'm Spike and what's your name?" Spike asked.

"The names Riot Gunner." I said, Just as I was about to ask if I could come in I heard someone walking up from behind. I turned around to see a pink mare walking towards us, when she saw me she gasped and bolted off down the street. "Uh....what just happened?" I asked "I've never seen any one capable of going that fast, and why did she bolt off so quickly?" I asked just for the sake of my curiosity. "Who is she anyway?" I asked again still being curious about the mysterious pink pony.

"That's Pinkie Pie, and the reason she bolted off so quickly...well you'll see in a little while" replied Twilight, but she didn't answer me how she could move so fast in the blink of an eye. My curiosity still burning about this Pinkie Pie.

"But how is she capable of going so fa-"

"Just understand that she is capable of sneezing confetti, don't question Pinkie" said Twilight cutting me off from finishing my question, satisfied at the 'answer' I got I said farewell and decided to take a walk to the gingerbread house. It was such a relaxing walk, everyone kept waving and saying nice things, I was correct on living here, its so peaceful.

When I got to my destination I read the sign. "Sugar Cube Corner, huh not that bad a name" I said to my self. Suddenly something pink flew right past me at incredible speeds knocking me over.

"Oh my gosh I'm sooooo sorry, I'm just in such a hurry getti- wait a sec, YOUR THE NEW GUY!" And with that being said, Pinkie bolted off again in the direction of the library. Things were getting weirdly funny, in a good way that is.

I decided it was time to go inside Sugar Cube Corner, I was greeted with what looked like a bakery, "why hello there dear, were you looking for something sweet today?" Asked the mare at the stand, she was cyan with a pink cotton candy looking hairdo, she wore an apron with some clothes underneath. "We got all the delicious goodies here at Sugar Cube Corner" she said, slightly boasting in a way,

I decided to introduce myself, while looking at the selection of goodies they had. "Hello my name is Riot Gunner, and I was just taking a look around town, but I guess I could look at some of your goodies." I said.

She stared at me for a sec before saying "oh, your the new stallion in town, Pinkies been telling us there was someone new" I gave a friendly smile.

What to pick? They had so many good looking goodies here, "I'll settle for a muffin" I said "so how much is it?" She then got a muffin out of the glass counter.

"First ones free for anyone new in town" she said with a smile on her face.

"Oh, well thank you then!" I said, just as I was about to exit I waved goodbye and took a bite, "mm, this is good, you were right!" I said just before leaving, there was a big smile on her face as she waved back.

I wandered around town for a little while longer, saw sweet apple acres, the forest just outside of town, I even found the bar! I looked up in the sky, the sun was getting close to the horizon, time to head to the dinner I was invited to. Gotta get ready first, I'm pretty sure I know where my clothes box is. On the way home I noticed a lack of ponies in the streets, things were getting creepy. I made it home, I was searching the wall for the light switch.

I flipped the light switch on "SURPRISE!!!" I jumped back in complete surprise to see half the town in the front room, taking a second to catch my breath.

"What are all you doing here?" Then Pinkie Pie came bouncing towards me.

"Surprise party, duh" I then decided to look at my surroundings.

There was party stuff all over the place, on the walls, hanging from the ceiling, even on the ground! I went wide eyed, "you did this all, for me?" I decided to ask, suspecting pinkie to be the one behind it all.

"Well duh, I throw a party for every new pony in town! Didn't Twilight tell you?" Pinkie responding, curiosity on her lips about the twilight part. "I guess she was trying to keep it a surprise huh?"

"Yes Pinkie, I was" said Twilight who then walked out of the crowd of pony's who had started partying without us. "I was keeping it a surprise so he would understand why you ran off, I didn't want to tell him just yet"  I was starting to understand, sorta.

Then it hit me, the reason I came home was to get a nice suit on for the dinner! "Oh crap" that's all i had to say before getting a few curious looks from the few ponies around me, "I'm going to be late for the dinner I was invited to!" I looked to my left to see my neighbor giggling in the crowd, "oh, never mind, they came to the party as well" I gave a nervous laugh and a sheepish grin.

The party had gone on for a few hours now, it was nearing ten just before it ended. I waved goodbye to a few more that left later then others, but I turned around and my heart stopped. There she was, a gray Pegasus with blonde hair, she looked at me and smiled, my heart did a few flips.

"Hello there Riot! Did you enjoy the party?" She asked, I was paralyzed, her voice was beautiful, but I finally got the courage to respond.

"uh um I d-did enjoy that party, um what's your name?" I felt like an idiot on the spot, I blushed a little at my lack of words.

"My names Ditzy Doo, but my friends call me Derpy." I was just about to respond when *BOOM* a huge explosion shook the ground. I flipped out at that and ran to the window to see what it was, my heart stopped again, a huge meteor was hurtling down the street. Straight at my house.

"EVERYONE OUTTA MY HOUSE QUICK! UNLESS YOU WANNA GET FLATTENED BY THAT HUGE ASS METEOR!" I yelled, everyone then ran for the nearest exit, just barely making it out the meteor smashed through my house, obliterating it. The meteor kept going for a while longer, I heard the screams of ponies as the meteor either went right past them, or worse, into them.

The meteor stopped a mile outside of ponyville, leaving a trail of destruction behind it. The best day of my life, had just been destroyed.
