Mutation Extermination

Third Person View

Soarin drank from the bottle of beer, still trying to get rid of the memory's. He finished the bottle, paying the respected amount of bits before leaving. Canterlot was still being rebuilt, but at least it was safe. He looked at the gates, where the mutant hunting party was just returning. "Kill any mutants today?" He asked the lead hunter.

"Yea, and better yet, they were the last" he said, holding up the mutant count. The device was built one year ago, from magic, crystals, and mutant DNA. The count now read zero. "We're going to tell Jewel of our victory!" He said, jogging away towards the still destroyed castle. Jewel had extreme magic in her blood, and with the help of Dr. Sheldon's invention, she managed to take control of the sun and moon. Soarin had a grin on his face, all the ones he had watched die three years ago, have been avenged.

"Gotta tell Sheldon" he said, jogging off towards Sheldon's place. Sheldon built his house at the city's edge, using the view as his pain killer for all the fighting. He stared at the beautiful sky, wondering how it could be so nice after all the horror.

"Whats wrong dad?" James asked from behind, he turned around to face his son.

"Just thinking" he said, he looked at the clock on the far wall. "Aren't you supposed to be at Silver's house? I swear she invited you and her friends over" he said with a smirk, James spun around and looked at the time, realizing that he was fifteen minutes late.

"Shit! Thanks for the reminder dad!" He said, lazily throwing a jacket on, and running out the door. Sheldon laughed a little at his sons antics. He turned around, staring at the sky again. He was interrupted by a few knocks at his door. He walked over to it, opening it.

"Hey Sheldon!" Soarin said, looking a little excited. "Have you heard?" He asked, Sheldon scratched his chin, thinking about what he was talking about.

"Is it the news about AppleBloom and that one colt?" He asked, Soarin face palmed.

"Not that! The news about the mutants, their all dead now!" He said, using his wings to hover a little. Sheldon's eyes got a little wide.

"Really?" He asked, Soarin nodded his head a few times, confirming what he said. "Well damn, took them long enough!" He said, giving his friend a good laugh. They stood there laughing like idiots for a second, then composed themselves. "What has Jewel said about this?" He asked, Soarin shrugged his shoulders.

"The hunting leader is probably telling her right now, if we hurry, then we can make it!" He said, turning on the dime and running. Sheldon followed suit, following his friend to the castle.

Shimmering Jewel stood there in her room, looking at herself in the mirror. She heard some knocking on her door. "Open" she said, turning around to face the door. The hunter leader entered, taking his helmet off. "It's good to see you Iron Fist" she said, he smiled at her greeting.

"It's good to see you too, honey" he said, giving her a hug.

"What news is there today?" She asked, curious as to what happened out there.

"We killed the last one, m'lady" he said, showing the counter. She gave a sigh of relief.

"I remember when they had me in their hive, it was terrifying. But, I will never forget about the stallion that saved me" she said, looking at an old picture of Shining Armor, dressed in the finest guard armor. "Tell everyone, tell them that I will be giving them good news at mid day" she said, Iron gave a nod then ran out the door.

The crowd stood below a balcony, specifically the one on the castle that survived. Jewel walked out onto, a smile on her face, overjoyed with what she was going to announce. "Hello my little ponies, today we have the best news in over three years!" She called out, doing what Celestia or Luna would do. "If Iron Fist would be so kind as to tell us about it" she said, stepping out of the way. Iron swallowed nervously, then came up to the balcony edge.

"Today, we managed to kill the last of the mutants!" He yelled out, the crowd started cheering. "From this day forth, we are free to wander the lands once more!" He called out, the crowd was now in a loud mass of screaming, hollering, and partying. Iron turned around to face Princess Jewel, he walked up to her. "We are all free now" he said, Jewel smiled, then brought him in for a kiss on the lips. The crowd released a few oohs and aahs, as they watched the new found princess kiss the hunter. It took a second for Iron to register that he was being kissed, but melted right into it.

Sheldon and Soarin were at the nearby bar, they had heard everything. "It's time to party!" Soarin said, grabbing a beer mug.

"I agree my friend!" Sheldon said, grabbing his own mug, they tapped their cups together. "To the queen!" He said.

"To freedom!" Soarin said, then they started chugging their beer, hearing the other occupants chanting 'Chug! Chug! Chug!' they kept chugging. They finished the beer at the same time, slamming the cup on the counter. "Another round bartender!" Soarin said, the bartender filled their mugs.

"It's all free till the end of the night!" The bartender said, getting a bunch of cheering from the others!

The Dragon Lands

Spike looked at the lava pool that was in the crater, thinking about how the others were doing. "Whats wrong Spike?" His new dragon wife asked. Spike was now fully grown, he had three eggs, and a giant pile of gems.

"Just thinking about my old friends" he said, his wife came up next to him.

"Do you miss them?" She asked, Spike looked into her emerald eyes.

"I've missed them ever since I got separated at the train crash" he said, pulling her into a hug. "But I will never forget the beautiful young dragon that saved me" he said smiling, his wife giggled little.

"I will never forget the little dragon I found in the snow" she said, pulling Spike into a kiss. They looked to their right when they heard a cracking noise, and they smiled with what they saw. "Their hatching!" She said, running over to the eggs. Spike walked up behind her, and watched as they eggs cracked more. The first egg broke, revealing a young, healthy purple dragon. The next broke, revealing a smaller white dragon, but looked just as determined. The last egg broke, revealing a purple, and white dragon. Spike's smile couldn't get any bigger.

The friends got drunk off their ass' that night, James shared his first kiss with Silver Spoon, Princess Jewel was proposed to by Iron fist, and Spike watched his kids burst from their eggs. The mutants were forgotten that night, mainly because all the ponies were to drunk to remember the next day, and Spike forgetting about them due to the crash. All that fought were never forgotten, and they watched over those they cared and loved for.
