The day was late, and Celestia was lowering the sun. The blue sky turned into a dark blue, and ponies went in their houses to get rest. Celestia turned towards her sister and smiled. She walked past her younger sister and went into the castle, leaving Luna to her work. It was her turn for the night shift, and the two Princesses both agreed on the night for Luna and the day for Celestia. Canterlot was quiet at dusk, as was all the other places in Equestria. Manehatten was less busier the usual. Appleloosa looked like a ghost town. And Cloudstale only had a few Pegasi on the streets. But one town of all the kinds of ponies were still up, for they were at a Get-Well-Super-Duper-Soon-Derpy! party, Pinkie has made for Derpy Hooves. Derpy was in a accident and hurt herself by bumping into things a lot more then she is used to. So she now has a broken wing.
The party was a huge hit and about all the ponies were there for her. Nopony likes it when Derpy gets hurt because of her actions. She is the kindest mailmare they had anyway. She was the one who had a passion similar to Pinkie Pie's. She made sure to make a sad pony happy again and gives them muffins. The seven bubbles on her flank as her cutiemark stood for her bubbly personality and good luck she has. It was true about her bubbly personality, the only time she frowns was when somepony messed with her. Like bullying or abuse.
The music was loud and was crazy, but nopony cared. They kept on dancing with a huge smile on their faces. They always loved a good party from the random pink mare. She has this spark for knowing how to make the ponies smile. Even when she was down (like that Party of One incident...) her friends are there because of how great of a friend she is! Even the music was so like her. All random and silly, which is what a certain Pegasus loves about that pink mare.
As the party went on, a unicorn named Holly Mistletoe arrived, with a mean look in her eyes. She had faint red eyes that held cruelty, a grayish pink mane with a faint red stripe in it, and a grayish green coat. As for her cutiemark, it was a microphone with a spark. She looked around the room to see if there was a way around the place. She sighed in anger, knowing there wasn't. So she had to say the word everypony used.
She walked up to a pony and said those word in a struggle, "Excuse me..." but with lots of attitude, she made it. The pony who she was talking too was Sweetie Drops. A yellow earth pony with a curly dark blue and pink mane. She was talking to Lyra Heartstrings, a mint colored unicorn with a spike like mane that was the colors of cream and mint green, about some things happening over in Canterlot. She had a pleasant smile on and turned towards the unicorn.
"Oh, hello! What do you need?" Sweetie Drops asked in her sweet voice. Holly snorted and rolled her eyes.
"Move it! I'm trying to get through!" Said Holly. Sweetie Drops gasped from the outburst and stepped aside. Lyra did the same with a confused look. Holly looked at the mares with annoyance and growled. "What are you two looking at?!" She yelled, causing the earth pony and unicorn to cringe. They held hooves and backed away.
"N... nothing..." Lyra said as she ran away, detaching her hoof from Sweetie's. Sweetie's eyes watched as Lyra's fell away and turned forward. Sweetie slowly looked back at Holly, who was staring back at her with rage. Her dull red eyes pierced with anger as she stomped her hoof on the wooden floor. Sweetie flinched and her ears flatten. The looks of this new pony was scary. She never met a unicorn who was this mean.
"MOVE IT!" Yelled Holly. Sweetie quickly got up and ran to where Lyra was. The outburst from Holly caught the attention from others. They murmured about what happened. Holly looked at the ponies around her and growled. She shook her head and kept walking very stealth like. She hated parties, all their cheering and laughing. Loud music was bad too, hated it. But the one thing she hated more then the parties was the pony who hosted and threw them. She called her a Pink-freak because of how annoying she is. Pinkie was also not funny at all. Holly didn't understand how others found her so funny. Even when Holly first came to Ponyville, she saw Pinkie, which made her wonder who she was. So she went up to Pinkie and told her she was new. Pinkie did what she did to all newcomers and did the "Welcome to Ponyville" song. which made Holly very embarrassed. And ever since that day, Holly hated Pinkie. Almost as much as Gilda did.
Holly looked around for the pink mare while she ate some cookies. The cookies were chocolate chips, her favorite. "At least she did one thing right..." Holly then decided to stop looking and wait until she was on the stage that was built up for the DJ.

"Hey, Pinkie, great party!" Said a purple mare with a calm yet sweet voice. She was all different shades of purple. Which is why her name was PurplePaw. Her eyes were a blueish purple with a hint of indigo. Her mane was like Rainbow Dash's when wet, the left eye was covered by the bangs, which are a violet color. Her coat was purple as well, nothing special. Her cutiemark was a wolf's paw, which stood for her passion of taking care of wolves. Or so the ponies think.
Pinkie turned towards PurplePaw and smiled her famous face breaking smile. She had some cupcakes, with Derpy's face on them, for the party. "Thanks! It was no deal, I do stuff like this all the time!" Pinkie giggled.
"It's still a great one though, Darling. Probably one of your best ones!" Rarity said in her slightly British accent. She was putting on some mascara for her false eye lashes. Rarity was always the one for fashion.
"I wouldn't think so, I think all my parties are okie dokie. Like the one I made for Gilda! Even though she was pretty mad, I say it was still fun!" Pinkie said as she gave some of the cupcakes to other ponies. She had a special cupcake for Derpy, who was talking to her coltfriend, The Doctor. He wants everypony to call him that and nopony knows why."Hold on a second girls!" Pinkie said as she skipped over to the grey Pegasus. Her right wing was in a cast and she was eating a muffin. Her favorite food. Pinkie tapped on her shoulder and showed the cupcake. Derpy turned and gasped. She hugged Pinkie and took the cupcake.
"Thanks Pinkie!" Derpy said. Pinkie nodded.
"No problem! Now I gotta go back! Bye Derpy, get well soon!" She said as she skipped back towards the Mane 6 and PurplePaw. PurplePaw saw her coming back and smiled. She turned around, greeting the pink mare.
"Uh hey, Pinkie. Mind if I ask you a question?" PurplePaw asked in a nervous tone.
"Sure! Anything for you, PurplePaw!" Pinkie said and smiled hugely. PurplePaw gulped and rubbed a hoof behind her head.
"Uh, it's Crystel's birthday soon and I wanted to know if you could throw a surprise party." She asked nervously. She hoped Pinkie didn't ask where they lived to go there. Pinkie Pie nodded and somehow, her smile got bigger.
"Sure! Just tell me where you live and I'll be there on the date! Luckily," Pinkie looked both ways then leaned into the purple Pegasus's ear, whispering. "I know everypony's birthday..." She said as she went back in her position with the same smile. That action made PurplePaw jump a little. She looked at the pink mare then just rolled her eyes. Pinkie can be like that...
"Uh well... we kinda... live... in... Manehattan! Yeah... We kinda live far away! Heheh..." PurplePaw said as she gotten in her nervous tone again. Pinkie raised an eyebrow, loosing her smile a bit.
"Manehattan? Then how'd you get here? Buy a taxi? Or wait... did you walk? Wait silly me! You can't walk that far! You took the train didn't you!" Pinkie said with a giggle. PurplePaw facehoofed then looked back at Pinkie.
"Uh... Yeah! Train!" She then lowered her head and mumbled. "Right..."
"Anyway~, I'll be over there tomorrow to make plans!" Pinkie said with the same smile returning. PurplePaw got nervous at this point. She looked up at Pinkie with a serious matter.
"You can't, I'll take you to the house I'm currently living in Ponyville!"
"Wait, why do you have a house here if you live in Manehattan?" Pinkie asked as she turned her head to the side. PurplePaw's eyes widen.
"Uh... because... I do?" She said nervously.
"But, that doesn't even make sense!"
Rainbow has been in on the conversation secretly, listening. She rolled her eyes at Pinkie's statement. You don't make sense either, Pinks... Rainbow thought. She went back to talking with Fluttershy, who was petting Angel Bunny.
"Neither do you..." Said PurplePaw.
Didn't I just think that?! Rainbow thought, annoyed.
"Are you okay Rainbow?..." Fluttershy asked as she looked at Dash in concern.
Rainbow looked at her and nodded. "I'm fine, don't worry, Shy."
"Oh, uh, okay... sorry..." Fluttershy said as she shrank under her mane like hiding behind a curtain. Rainbow facehooved and looked at her annoyed. More annoyed then before.
"No... You're not suppose to be so-" Rainbow was interrupted by the music stopping. All the ponies where mumbling, and looked at the stage where a certain unicorn had unplugged the stereo.
"What the hay?!" Applejack exclaimed.
Holly grabbed the microphone that was on the stage and looked at the crowed, disgusted. "Sorry, mares and gentlecolts, but parties over! You all can go back home!" Holly said as she pointed at the doors. She smirked as some of them, disappointed, left. Pinkie saw and gasped. She skipped over to the plus and plugged it back in. The loud music started playing again, bringing back the ponies who just left. Holly looked at Pinkie and snorted. "You..."
"Oh hi! You kinda accidentally unplugged this!" Pinkie said with a giggle. Holly jumped off the stage and walked over to Pinkie and looked at the mare straight in the eye. This was her chance to get revenge.

As Twilight and the others watched, their friend Pinkie Pie and Holly had a staring contest. (Atleast....Pinkie thought that's what they were doing)
"Why did anypony even come to this party? Derpy is just a stupid mare, she crashes into things all the time!" Holly says growling.
Everypony gasps and as they did Derpy Hooves drops her cupcake. They're were sobs heard from the food table, Derpy ran out the door crying with the Doctor galloping after her
"Ditzy, wait!" he yelled as he left the building.
"Aw, did somepony not get a nap today?" Pinkie pie said to Holly
"And as for you!" Holly pointed at the pink mare "You're a no good, not funny, pink freak!" she yelled at Pinkie from the top of her lungs. Pinkie gasped from that and took a step back, her ears flattening.
"That's not true! Everypony loves my parties! And me!" Pinkie said.
"This party is lame, I'm out of here" Holly said as she pushed Pinkie down and started to walk to the door. As Pinkie hit the ground, her eyes widen, she watched the green unicorn walk out of the crowd, and towards the door. Twilight ran over and helped Pinkie up. While PurplePaw growled in anger.
"HEY!" She yelled as she got a piece of cake in her hoof. Holly turned around before she walked through the door. PurplePaw threw the moist pastry at her. It flew through the air like a torpedo, swirling while airborne. It then landed with a splat. It had landed on Holly's horn. She wiped some of the cake off slowly and looked at it, mouth a gape. "Don't. Push. Pinkie." PurplePaw growled as she walked back to her spot. Holly grunted and walked the door, eating the cake off her face.
"Are you alright Pinkie Pie?! That mare is just too stubborn..." Twilight said as she stared off in the direction the mare went. Pinkie rubs her head, looking in the same direction.
"I'm okie dokie lokie, Twi! Really! I had to deal with that when I was a filly! I'm kind of used to it!" Pinkie giggled and gave a kind smile. She looked around the room at the crowd, some of them whispering and laughing. Pinkie's smile slowly faded as her ears lower. "But I guess not all the way..." With that, Pinkie ran upstairs to her room, slamming the door.
"Pinkie! Darling!" Rarity said as she went after her. She went up to the door, knocking on it. "Pinkie, be a dear and open the door please!" Rarity asked in a sweet tone. There was no answer. Rarity knocked on the door again. "Pinkie?" Still no response. Rarity was thinking of going back to her friends, and asking somepony else to help her. Like AJ or Fluttershy. But as she turned around, the door opened a bit to show a flat maned Pinkie Pie. Rarity saw this and with a gasp she grabbed Pinkie's hoof and walked in, taking her to the mirror in her room. Pinkie sat in a bored like pose. She didn't look very happy. Rarity on the other hoof, was getting a brush, hairspray, and scissors.
Pinkie's mane wasn't exactly flat, just enough to where it looked like a dying sponge. Rarity used her magic to lift Pinkie's mane. Pinkie watches in aggravation as Rarity put her mane in sections. The combing was worst, the tugging and pulling made a few tears come to Pinkie's eyes. Rarity may be good at beauty, but it hurts in order to get it perfect. Pinkie clenched her teeth in pain, not everyday you get to have your mane, which is usually tangled up, brushed out to it's natural shape. Pinkie swatted at Rarity's magic. Rarity sees this and slapped Pinkie's hoof gently. Pinkie snaps the hoof back in it's place as Rarity shook her head. "Look! I am almost done! Now stop swatting at it, you're going to ruin it!"
"Why are you doing this exactly?!" Pinkie asked as she crossed her hooves. Rarity combed her mane and cut off some of the split ends.
"Because. A. Since when will I ever do this to you?! B. You needed a mane cute anyway. C. Because you're sad, and I thought this would make you feel better... it always does... And I don't even ask to pay, darling! For you it's free! Plus I personally love your mane straight!" As Rarity finished the sentence, she took a step back to admire her work. Pinkie's mane was now a long pink waterfall, covering her shoulders. Pinkie blew some strands of mane out of her eye line of sight.
Rarity clapped her hooves together in happiness. "Oh you look fabulous, darling!" Pinkie looked at the mirror, she stared at her reflection and actually smiled a little. She turned towards Rarity and got up. Rarity was in awe of what she did, wasn't easy to tame Pinkie's mane... As Rarity went over to get her comb and scissors, a pink blur tackles her and embraced her. Pinkie swung her a little then put her down.
"Oh hehe, careful of the mane, darling..." Rarity said as she patted at her mane, showing that she was fixing it. "I'm guessing you love the new mane-style, darling?" Rarity asked. In response, Pinkie nodded her head fast. Her straight mane was much lighter then that tangle mess. Her pink mane swayed easily as she nodded. She was in awe by how Rarity was able to tame the pink beast. Then again, the beast deflated like a balloon. Pinkie stopped nodding her head and looked at a calm Rarity. Pinkie hugged her again.
"Thank you for making me feel better, Rarity..." Pinkie said as she let go of the exquisite unicorn. Rarity smiled.
"Anything, Darling, now lets go back downstairs, everypony is worried. Especially Dash, and she barely worries." Rarity rolls her eyes. Rainbow Dash? Worried about Pinkie? I mean sure Pinkie was the youngest, but worried? Pinkie blushed at the thought. She shook her head to clear her thoughts, and looked at the door.
"Okie dokie lokie..." Pinkie said as she went to the door. Rarity followed, using her blue magic to carry her mane stuff. Pinkie opened the door and looked down the stairs. Rainbow was sitting with Twilight at the bottom steps, facing away. Rarity went pass Pinkie and trotted down the stairs, careful not to trip. She went by Twilight and Rainbow, which caused their attention. Rainbow was the first to react. She quickly went to Pinkie and hugged her.
"Oh my sweet Celestia, Pinks! You're okay! And you're mane is flat! Wait... you're mane is flat. OH HELL NAW!" Rainbow immediately let go of Pinkie once she saw this. She picked up some strands of Pinkie's mane and tried to poof it up again. "I don't like this mane-style... it reminds me of your 14th birthday..." Rainbow said with a grunt. Rarity caught what Rainbow was doing, and with a gasp, she walks over with a news paper she gotten from Feather Weight and slapped it on Rainbow's head. Rainbow sharply turned and looked at Rarity.
"Now Rainbow! This made her feel better! Plus I worked hard to get it like that!" Rarity said with a hint of annoyance. Dash snorted.
"Well, I don't like it this way." Rainbow said as she turned back around to Pinkie and did the same thing as she did before. Rarity only slapped her with the news paper again. "Ow! Stop that!"
"Well I like her mane when it's straight!" Rarity scoffed. Dash grabbed the news paper and slapped Rarity with it.
"I like it poofy and crazy!" Dash said in anger.
"Straight!" Rarity said as she gotten another news paper from Feather Weight. He was in on the action, watching nervously. Rarity slapped Rainbow on the head again.
"Crazy!" Dash hit Rarity the same way as Rarity did, only a little harder.
"Straight!"
"Crazy!"

Pinkie watched as the two fought over how Pinkie wanted her mane. She sighed and looked at the others. Fluttershy was looking outside, she seemed to be attracted to something, maybe an animal she loves. Applejack was face-hoofing with annoyance. PurplePaw just ate popcorn and watched. And Twilight got up from the bottom stair step and took a step forward. Her horn glowed as Rarity and Rainbow both levitated up. A yelp coming from both of them. They looked at Twilight, who cleared her throat.
"Enough... this is Pinkie's mane we're fighting over about. It is her decision of what mane-style she wants!" Twilight said in a motherly tone towards the two ponies. Rarity nodded in agreement. Dash grunted then nodded too.
"Sure thing, mom..." Dash said in an annoyed tone. Twilight glared at her. Dash just shrugged.
"I'm keeping the straight mane, I actually like it!" All eyes went on Pinkie. Dash groaned. Rarity smiled.
"Oh, c'mon, I was rooting for Dash to win.. oh whale." PurplePaw said with a snort.
"Ya jus' had ta, didn' ya." Applejack said as she looked at PurplePaw. PurplePaw put on shades, she imagined the word "YEAAAAAAH" going off in the background with music. She did a little swag pose. Applejack did nothing but face-hoofed again.
"Twilight... that unicorn... I know her, she's never like that..." Fluttershy said as Twilight set the two ponies down. She turned to Fluttershy, confused. "She saved my life in the Everfree. She was so nice... and pretty too... But now that I think about it, she didn't look like herself..."
"Seems fishy if you ask me!" Dash said as she rubbed the back of her neck.
"Same here..." Applejack said, she finally stopped face-hoofing.
"Hmm... who here thinks that Discord is behind this?" Rarity said. All eyes were on her. "Just a thought... I mean, greyish colors, opposite personality... seems like Discord to me..." This caused a few nodding heads. PurplePaw raised an eyebrow.
"Who's Discord?" She asked.
The girls all looked at her, mouths a-gape. All except for Pinkie, who giggled.
"Dissy is the most awesome pony, animal thing ever! He called me his favorite element~." Pinkie said as she zoned off. Dash groaned.
"Not much of a gentlepony at all though, Pinks... He's the spirit of Chaos!" Rainbow said. This caused PurplePaw to smirk and chuckle evily. Applejack looked at her.
"Okay now instead of bein' weird, you're now just scarin' meh..." Applejack said as she took a step away from the purple mare.
"C'mon Girls.. party is going to have to end now... We're going to the statue!" Twilight said as she got up on the stage.
"Awwie, but it was so much fuuuun...." Pinkie said, upset.
"Listen up everypony! The party is going to have to end due to problems, but knowing Pinkie, we'll have another party soon..." Pinkie nodded in approval, which caused some ponies to chuckle.
After a few minutes of ponies saying thank you and they enjoyed the party, the girls plus PurplePaw gathered together outside.
"Alright... So lets see if Discord can find an explanation..." Rainbow said, as her plus the others on her side, walk to where Discord's statue was. But they do not know what secret adventure lies ahead of them...
