CHAPTER TWENTY ONE: Return of Corruption

“Open the portal! Now!”

Luce summoned a massive portal big enough for him to slide through and exited his prison.

“Oh it's so good to be back!” Luce roared.

He had his entire set of armor on. His helmet, back armor, and wing armor. Fit for a snake with wings, colored silver and lined with gold.

I watched as Luce rose from the Great Whirlpool.

“I will end it the way it began.” I said.

Silvermoon walked up to me with tears in her eyes. The Shadow following behind her.

“Dorchester...” She said.

I looked at her and nodded. “I'm not sure who will win this... but if I don't... live long enough for the both of us.”

Silvermoon swung her forelegs around me and gave me the best kiss I had ever had.

I heard The Shadow make an urgent sound.

The kiss lasted a few more seconds before I faced The Shadow.

“Alright... Let's go!” I said. I changed into Xaxas form and took off with The Shadow. When I arrived, Lance, Frederic, David, Peter, Greg, The Mane Six, Celestia, Luna, Bleak, Cadance, Shining Armor, and a large group of heavily armored royal guards stood before me and The Shadow.

Lance, Peter, and Frederic were already in there alternate forms.

“Ready?” Violent Inferno asked.

I nodded my head. I looked up to see Luce Danneggiato, the very spirit of evil itself grinning widely at us from above.

“Isn't this LOVELY?!” Luce bellowed.

“After so long... so many failures... so many generations have passed since I felt like this!”

I looked to see the guards ready their weapons.

“Ha ha ha! You didn't think I would be coming alone, now did you? I took the chance to attach some others to my return! Behold the new and improved, Nightmare!”

I saw Lance get into a battle stance.

“Oh Lance... I've got a bone to pick with you!” Nightmare snarled. He was much larger, and more muscular now.

“May I introduce... Dark Discord?”

There was a flash of lightning as a storm brewed and Discord came down. His eyes blood red and his entire body pitch black.

“Annabel here... was too pure to corrupt. I'm sure she'll love to go one on one with her lover!”

Luce summoned a large cage and summoned Annabel into it. Discord flew it.

“Annabel!” Frederic yelled.

“Oh, but I'm not done yet!”

Hundreds of Darkness spawned all around us. Baring their teeth and preparing for an all out war.

“Let the games begin...”

Luce roared, the entire earth shook and the massive tornado touched down on Luce Dannegiato, sparking with swirling lightning.

Let me just say this. When the sky ran red and blood rained from the heavens, it actually did.

“Behold the blood of the lost souls of Tartarus!” Luce said.

He roared again, and our armies clashed.

I personally went up to Luce and blasted the sparking tornado. Electricity blasted from the area I had hit it, and wrapped itself around my hoof. I slammed my other hoof into the tornado, my hoof was taken in it as well.

“Fool...” Luce growled. I was thrown into the tornado with Luce. Just me and him now...

I looked to see the royal guards fighting off endless hordes of Darkness. They stood no match for them. I saw Cadance with Shining Armor, Lance, and Twilight. All of them blasting intense looking beams of magic at Nightmare who had his palm down, absorbing whatever was thrown at him.

I heard Luce laugh and looked in front of me.

He's massive!

The bigger they are, the harder they fall! Let's do this!

I shot forward and blasted Luce in the chest with my hoof. He recoiled a small amount, and swatted my to the right with his head.

I rubbed my side where he had hit me, and shot back. I uppercutted him, knocking a large tooth the size of myself out of his mouth.

Luce roared and blasted a large amount of dark magic from his eyes, it swirled around me. I summoned my flames and parted the darkness, hitting Luce in the eye.

“Now you see me...”

My entire vision when black as I was surrounded.

“Now you don't...”

I channeled my strength, and summoned and wave of light which bursted, parting the darkness.

I saw Luce Danneggiato roaring, blasting black flames at the ground.

“Don't you dare hurt my friends!” I said.

The Shadow!

Fuck!

I hit Luce in the jaw. He flinched a little, swung his head again and blasted me out of the tornado.

I shot down, taking down a path of Darkness as I did and shot straight for Nightmare who was have a fist fight with The Shadow. I knocked him flying back.

The Shadow gave me a thumbs up, and barred his claws for Nightmare's return. He did come back, with a large bruise on his head where I had hit him.

“Go To Sleep...” Nightmare cooned.

I felt myself collapse. When I got up, I gasped.

Nightmare looked just like Jeff The Killer! His wicked, scar smile with his pitch black pupil eyes. He held a large knife in his hand.

It's all fake... smoke and mirrors... smoke and mirrors... I told myself. My face scrunched up with worry as I looked at The Shadow who looked fine.

I guess we're the only on- AHH!

I was blasted to the side by Luce's fire. When I looked up, I saw Nightmare in Jeff's form holding the knife over my head.

“GO! TO! SLEEP!” He yelled as he brought the knife down. I felt him fly off of me as Lance head butt him.

“Thanks...” I gasped.

“No problem.” Lance said.

“Me and The Shadow need to get up to Luce Danneggiato. Think you could help me?” I asked.

Lance laughed. “Sure!”

I motioned for The Shadow to come over. I looked to see Nightmare back in his actual form, dueling with Cadance and Shining Armor.

Me, Lance, and The Shadow blasted up to Luce. He sent out a massive wave of energy which blasted us back. He roared with laughter.

“Just keep thinking to yourself, 'I think I can, I think I can.' When you clearly know you can't!” Luce growled with a large grin on his face.

The Shadow clapped his hands in front of him, sending a massive wave of rotten flesh towards Luce.

The rotten flesh grasped around Luce's body.

“Foolish monster for another world! You cannot defeat me!”

The Shadow looked at us, winked and waved. For the first time, it opened it's mouth to speak.

“I wIlL wEaKeN LuCe. Go NoW! FiNiSh ThE JoB!”

The Shadow shot forward, and grasped onto the rotten flesh. It's body dispersed and was absorbed into the rotting flesh. There was an ear splitting crash as the armor suddenly turned to a dark bronze and blasted off of Luce's body. Leaving large holes surrounded by dried blood where the armor had been nailed onto his body.

“NO!” Luce roared. He sent another wave which blasted everyone back. Nightmare and The Darkness suddenly stopped, and so did we.

We all looked up to see Luce shaking with anger.

“I... have had... enough... mistakes...” He stammered.

“Behold... The Brink.”

The world before us split, a massive crack formed and split through the earth. The water from The Great Whirlpool drained, and Canterlot Castle fell into the pit.

“Not again!” Luna said.

“Think about how much you are not cared for Dorchester! I know you still have feelings for Luna! I saw you sing! I saw it all!”

I felt my anger rise.

He's trying to corrupt us again!

“Notice how NONE of your family came to see you after The Rapture? Same with you, Lance, Peter, David, and Greg! All but your mother, Lance! Not even your own brother even hinted at wanting to come to you when he died as well! And when I'm finished with you... I will personally tell Mark that I killed his puny girlfriend!”

"WHAT?!"

"Ha ha ha! Think back, Lance! When Mark made his last call to his girlfriend, didn't you hear this roar?"

Luce roared. Lance gasped.

“Do you all want to know the truth?”

He's going to spill the beans on us!

“SHUT UP!” I roared.

“Lance, may I remind you your 'friend' Dorchester took away your sons negative emotions so that he couldn't fight him after Dorchester would have killed you all! Peter, Dorchester here was the one who smashed your guitar and turned Rarity green with Annabel's help! And Frederic... oh Frederic...”

I felt everyone's gaze turn to me. I saw Dark Discord, The Darkness, and Nightmare's bodies all turn into haze and swirl around Luce's body.

Discord, fell to the ground as his corrupted form vanished.

“Wha... who...?” He gasped.

“Discord!” Annabel gasped. She hugged Discord.

“Annabel... wait... LUCE!” Discord roared.

Luce chuckled. “Your father... the one who killed you so long ago... the way he returned...”

Luce chuckled again. “Dorchester brought him here so he could kill you...”

There was a sudden outburst of gasps.

“Dorchester... you...” Lance said.

“Why?” Frederic said.

“Don't you see? You are all victims of Dorchester's treachery!”

I looked helplessly around me.

Everyone began to advance slowly towards me.

“No... please... I was corrupted!” I said, changing back.

This isn't good... this is not good...

“You've done terrible things, Dorchester. Now it's time you face the consequences!"

I closed my eyes tight as I heard the roaring laughter of Luce Danneggiato as he watched my friends advance towards me. Itching for bloodshed, and filled with corruption.
