Hello my name is Josef and this is the story of how I went from being a nobody to the hero of Equestria. But i´m jumping ahead, like every story it´s best to start at the beginning.
My life was hell and no I'm not just saying that to sound sympathetic, the high school I went to was really bad. Like every other person who has ever dared to be different from the “normal” kids will testify it's not easy having the guts to stand up for who and what you are, and you will pay for it both physically and mentally.
I was a Friday afternoon and I was on my way to one of the few friends I had, we had planed to have a complete gaming weekend so in my suitcase I had my laptop with two external hard-drives and my game consoles. But I never made it to my destination. As I was passing by the 7/11 a kid ran out, he can't have been more than 14 maybe 15 holding a gun and seeing that I had seen his face sense his face-mask had slipped down I suddenly heard a loud bang and I fell to the ground.
As I opened my eyes I found my self in a black void in a floating window before me I saw an image of my lifeless body and the police working to contain the crime scene. I stood there for what felt like hours, suddenly I heard a voice right behind me, I turn around and I see a man in black robes.
Hello I said I assume you are the grim reaper and are here to take me to the afterlife I said even thou I didn't believe in an afterlife.
No said the figure I'm a traveler of the void, the space you reside in the moment between death and everlasting rest. You should not be here but lady luck had different plans if you like I can give you a second chance at life but not in the world you came from. In the multiverse everything is possible think of a world and it shall appear I have saved others like you and they live new life's in worlds from fictional media they liked so where do you want to go my friend?
I started thinking wow anywhere like the DC or Marvel universe maybe I get powers like superman.
But then I thought no I want to go to a nice place and have a quiet life and that's when it hit me Equestria. Instantly a portal opened up in front of me but before I could walk through the man put a hand on my shoulder.
Wait before you go to your new life let me give you something. He snapped his fingers and the suitcase I had been dragging behind me was beside me again. You should have your things but I have also given you a power to help you, by thinking of an object and picture it in your mind it will magically appear before you but only objects, nothing that's alive.
Thank you I said before stepping into the portal and once again everything went dark.
