It had been a very long day, for both Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle. Rainbow Dash had been attempting to help Twilight with controlling her flight skills again, but with a quiet, one-on-one session, instead of having all their friends there, as she had thought that it may take a little bit of pressure off the Alicorn's shoulders. But no matter how hard they tried, Twilight seemed to be less focused than she was before, and she didn't make any progress.
They were now sitting beside the stream, enjoying the sunset together, like good friends.
"Twilight?" Rainbow Dash asked, her voice quiet, as if she was being careful not to break the peace that surrounded them both.
"Yes, Rainbow Dash?" Twilight replied, turning her head towards the rainbow-maned pony, a confused expression on her face.
"Well, I was wondering... I was wondering why you seemed so out of focus today?" Rainbow Dash said, a hint of curiosity clinging to the edges of the sentence.
"Oh... Well... I... I don't honestly know Rainbow Dash. I just...Wasn't into it today. I suppose I had too much on my mind, and I apologize for wasting your time. Next time I'll try harder." Twilight said, replying, with a confident voice, even though some of the statement was a white lie.
Rainbow Dash looked at Twilight for a while, before sighing and shaking her head, looking back into the sunset. Twilight cringed, knowing that Rainbow Dash had seen right through her little lie. She was going to make an excuse, but Rainbow Dash started first.
"You know Twilight, you can speak to me about anything. We are friends, and even though I am really cool and outgoing, I'm not going to go and spread my friend's secrets around." She said, turning back towards the Alicorn, looking deep into her purple eyes. Twilight let out a slow, and shaky breath, shaking her head slightly.
"I will sound completely out of order, and you may hate me after this, but promise me you won't tell anyone, and that this will stay between us....And...Promise that we'll still be friends? Pinkie Promise?" She asked, her hoof shaking, as she propped her upper body up. Rainbow Dash nodded, and sat up.
"Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye..." Rainbow Dash said quietly, waiting for Twilight to continue.
Twilight sighed, even her breathing showed that she was nervous.
"Rainbow Dash... I know you probably won't like me, but I have had this feeling for a while, and it just won't go away. At first...At first I thought it was simply a phase, but it stuck, and got stronger. I... Like you. No, in fact, I love you. Not just because you are absolutely attractive, but also because your personality is so different to mine, yet when I'm around you, it seems that our personalities fit together perfectly. We've been through so much, and if you don't feel the same way, then I hope we can at least still be friends." Twilight said, quickly, yet slow enough for the Pegasus to understand.
Twilight hung her head low, and tears filled her eyes when she heard Rainbow Dash stand up and sigh.
Just as Twilight was about to cry, a soft, light blue hoof gently pulled her chin up. Purple eyes met with dark pink ones, but before Twilight could comprehend what was going on, her muzzle was suddenly attached to another.
Before too long, the both of them got lost in a passionate, and loving kiss. Although it didn't look like much to anypony, those who know the feeling would know that the first kiss isn't just a kiss. Twilight and Rainbow Dash didn't just share a first kiss. Their souls connected on a beautiful level, as their hearts soared and their feelings exploded all over. Neither of them wanted it to end, but alas, they needed air, so they pulled apart.
"R-Rainbow Dash... I-I didn't know you felt like that..." Twilight said, a cute, pink blush spreading across her cheeks. Rainbow Dash smiled, and put her right wing around Twilight's 'waist'.
"N-Neither did I...But I realize now... That I love you. I love you Twilight Sparkle." She said, a smile gracing her features. Twilight let out a happy sigh, her lips turned up in content.
"I love you too Rainbow Dash." She said, before they walked off together, into the silent, and loving night.

I wrote a fan-fic... Jeez. Okay. This is cheesy. I don't think I did too well on this, because I don't really write any sort of fan-fiction that often. It's more of a hobby. So uh... Do leave feedback and your opinions, because I'm welcome to positive and negative feedback! ^w^ (And I don't know the real name for the color of their eyes, so bear with me please. I know it's short, but like I said. Short and sweet, also my skills are limited... *Noob*)
