No matter the threat, autumn days in Canterlot had always seemed so golden and fair. Though it had been a fact for years that one must watch their life tick away, growing shorter or longer with each decision made, the death of a close friend elicits a more imminent response. Fumbling through their grief, six friends must learn to deal not only with the tragedy, but with their own fears and uncertainties. Each trying a different means to recover from the news, they must learn to both enjoy what time they have left, and find a means to pay their own ferryman.
