Midnight Flyer came to Ponyville expecting a life of peace, and to make a few friends. However when somepony gets murdered on the outskirts of town, she gets roped into a crazy adventure with nine other unexpected heroes. Coffee Bean, a coffee shop owner, Pixel Joystick, an upcoming prince, Eclipse Ondas, a fortune teller from the south, Solar Flare, a DJ who would like nothing more but to be left alone, Detective Vid, a detective who is investigating the murder, Hard Drive, a mechanic, Nightmare Flame, another Dj who is a cross dresser, Lightning Blast, a weather force pony, and last but not least, Half Heart, a mare who seems distant, cold, and not welcoming… but she has her reasons. Will these ten be able to stop this awful serial killer? Or will they themselves become the next victims?
