Hello, to who ever is reading this journal my name is Ryuu and this is the journal that I've taken to writing after me and my family came to this strange land called Equestria.
My family consists of me and my twin sister Raven, as well as her twin familiars Fang and Nymph they are Dire wolfs, we also have my twin familiars of Ebony and Onyx they are both black dragons, now I know it seems strange that we both have twin familiars but Ebony explained it to me, apparently twins attract twin familiars because twins are a very rare occurrence we tend to find each other and stick together, well I guess I should start at the beginning of our journey.
When we were born we were put through a series of tests to check if we had any magic potential, when they tested Raven they found that she had the magic ability of two people so when they checked me and found me lacking they assumed that Raven had absorbed my magic, so from the day I turned five I was trained to be her protector while she was trained to be the most powerful mage that had ever existed, now don't get me wrong at times I was jealous of her but I still loved her and I still wanted to protect her, I just craved the recognition and attention that she received and that she hated. Despite all that we grew to be as close as siblings could be I was the impenetrable wall that defended her from everything that I could, I always wear my plate armor for that very reason, we would form strategies and battle plans without saying a word. So when one day during training I accidentally used magic and killed my trainer I was so surprised that when I tried to help him I accidentally revived his corpse and discovered that the magic I held was that of a necromancer. In fear of what the paladin order would do when they found out, I drained the reanimated corpse of the magic I had used turning it to ash, I then ran to the home I shared with Raven intending to run away before she gets dragged into the mess I've made.
I burst through the door to our home only to find Raven sitting at the table in the dining room reading a spell book.
"Ryuu, what's the matter you seem pale?"Raven asked, as she looked up from her book.
I respond as I move to my room, "nothing dear Raven, I just have to leave."
Frowning at my back she closes her book and swiftly moves to her room, when I finish packing I place the family shield on my arm, my black travel cloak and my pack on my back only to find Raven standing beside the door with her own pack by her feet and her oak staff topped with a ravens skull, Raven was also wearing her black boots, black pants, black shirt as well as her black cloak with the family emblem on the back. (she really likes the color black.)
"Raven what are you doing?" I ask her in confusion.
she responds with a serious face."I'm going with you, to wherever your going dear brother whether you like it or not."
I sigh as I say "That would be a bad idea, the paladin order will be after me soon and I wont drag you into my problems so I'm just gonna leave and you can have a nice safe life here."
Raven shakes her head as she says," Family comes first brother you know that, we made a promise so we are in this together no matter what."
I shake my head, "Raven you still have a future here, If you come with me you will never be able to come back, they will hunt me to the end of time."
" I don't care, I'm going with you and that's final." she says with a look of determination.
I sigh as I nod my head, " Fine lets get out of here before anyone discovers what I've done." she nods as we set out the door, never to return to our family home.
As we travel we help any that we can by going to small villages, I only use my necromancy to treat anyone suffering from diseases, and those who wish to speak with the spirits of their loved ones, I would summon the spirit of the one that they ask for and after a short time I guide the spirit into the after life, we would then quickly leave town so as not to be caught, after being on the run for about one year we had the bad luck of running into a paladin (he wasn't wearing his armor so he didn't look like one) we found him visiting the grave of his wife.
"Would like to talk to her one last time?" I asked him quietly as I approached.
He responded without looking away from her grave " I would give anything to see her again."
I nodded and said, "You will have one hour with her spirit."
He turned to look at me in confusion as I cast the spell,
" James ?"
He whipped around to see his wife's spirit floating before him.
" Cynthia, is that really you?" he asked with tears in his eyes
She nods "But, why am I here ?"she asks her confusion clear in her voice.
"I have brought your spirit back so that your husband could say goodbye," I tell her as I take a step forward, " I have granted you one hour on this plane before you go back to the spirit realm." I inform her.
She looks at me with narrowed eyes. " You are a necromancer are you not ? " she demands.
I nod, she then asks "so why are you doing this? Whats in it for you? "
" I'm doing this because I know the pain of not being able to say goodbye, you have a little less than an hour before you go back use this time to say your goodbyes."
I then turn and leave the grave site as they begin to talk,
Raven speaks up from beside me as I walk past the tree she was leaning against. " You do know that he is going to go to the paladins when he finishes talking to his wife right?" I nod as she joins me.
" That is why we are leaving so soon." She nods as we pick up the pace.
Around 3 hours later when we reach the next town it was much too dark to continue to travel, so we go to an inn for the night I walk up to the innkeeper and ask for two rooms as I set down two gold coins for the rooms the innkeeper nods his head as he takes the coins and hand me two keys I hand one key to Raven as we head up the stairs, once we are at the top of the stairs I turn to Raven.
" If you need me give a yell I'm right down the hall." I tell her.
she smirks and says, " I'm a big girl if anyone comes to my room uninvited I'll shove a fireball down their throat."
" I'm serious Raven I've got a bad feeling if anything happens let me know."
She gives me a hug and says, " Don't worry if anything I can't handle happens you'll be the first to know."
I sigh as I hug her back, " Good night Raven."
we release each other as she says," Good night Ryuu."
She then steps into her room as I head into mine.
The next day I am awoken by the sunlight coming in through the window, after a quick stretch I put on my armor, my cloak and my long sword, I then pick up my kite shield that has the family emblem of a phoenix on a lavender field with its wings spread wide with the full moon above the left wing and the sun above the right wing. After admiring it for a few moments I strap it to my left forearm, place my pack on my back and head toward Raven's room, I get there as she is walking out.
" Are you still getting that bad feeling?" she asks.
I nod as I say " It seems worse today."
" Then we should get out of town before whatever it is finds us." she says as she heads toward the stairs with me close behind her, so we head down the stairs and out the door after turning in our keys, we then head to the east towards the mountains. After walking for about two hours we reach the base of one of the mountains just in time for about three hundred foot soldiers and about ten paladins to catch up with us, one of the paladins and about twenty foot soldiers walk towards us, the paladin as he gets closer can be identified as the man I helped see his dead wife.
" We meet again young necromancer." the paladin says once he is close enough.
I smile as I say "I hope you enjoyed your talk with your wife."
" That I did and I thank you for it but I must ask you to surrender and face justice for your crime of practicing necromancy."
I shake my head, " Either way your going to kill me so I'd rather die fighting then die on my knees."
He sighs " I was hoping you would go peacefully, but if that is your answer then you have until I reach the army with your answer before we attack use that time to say your goodbyes, may the gods have mercy on your souls." He then turns and heads back to the army with his foot soldiers following close behind.
"Well Raven I don't think we can win on our own." I say as I turn towards her.
she smirks as her staff starts to glow softly then with a small flash of light her dire wolfs appear beside her.
" I think Fang and Nymph will help us."She says to me.
Both dire wolfs give a nod as they eye the army before them, Fang stands at a solid six feet tall and has a deep scar on his right eye he got lucky so he can still see out of it, his fur is a dark red with black stripes his eyes glow a sky blue color," It seems you are in a bit of trouble, again." Fang says with a smirk,
Nymph gives a slight chuckle as she says "Looks like we have to save your butt this time huh, Raven." Nymph is Fangs twin sister she stands at five feet eight inches and has a scar going across her chest her fur is black with dark red stripes and her eyes glow a bright white color, so both are very intimidating, me and Raven both stand at 6'5" and 5'10" respectively.
" Shouldn't you get Ebony and Onyx out as well?" Raven asks me with her eyes glowing green, as she ignores the jokes of her friends much to their amusement.
I shake my head " No, I want to keep them hidden for now I'll bring them out if we need them for an emergency."
She nods as she walks to where she's behind me with her wolfs standing by my sides as I draw my sword from its sheath," So standard formation?" I ask, she nods as she starts to build up her magic, while me and the wolfs take defensive positions in front of her.
After about three more minutes the foot soldiers begin to move in, after they have moved about 15 yards out of the 400 yards it takes to get to us.
I turn my head to raven as I tell her, " Unleash hell."
she smiles as she does just that with lightning raining from the sky and fireballs being launched from the top of her staff while me and Fang rush the enemy line while Nymph stays back to guard Raven. As I hack through my enemies I channel my magic around me to reanimate their corpses to fight for me to even up the numbers for every enemy I kill I gain a new ally, after killing about fifty enemies I fall back to check on Raven as I get near her I see Nymph with about twenty bodies around her.
I walk over and say " good job Nymph."
she smiles and says " you did an alright job out there."
I shrug and say " I can take a break for a second the reanimated ones are doing a good job of causing chaos and with these bodies I can add to it."
I then reanimate the twenty bodies around Nymph and send them against their former allies, upon seeing that Raven is fine I head back into the fight until the paladins join in as they easily cut through the undead, I then give the order to the undead to focus on the paladins while me and Fang fall back to Nymph and Raven, when a group of five paladins comes out of the fight they all start to charge a ray of light spell.
I raise my shield and tell Raven " We need to use our Aegis shield spell! "
she nods as she casts the first layer of the spell on my shield while I cast the second layer and the wolfs add their own magic to the spell to make it as impenetrable as possible, after the wolfs have used all their remaining magic they disappear in a flash of light just in time for the paladins to unleash their spell shooting a huge beam of light at us it hits the shield spell and fights with it causing bolts of energy to hit around us as well as a vortex of swirling energy to form about ten feet to my left from one of the bolts of energy.
I look to Raven and ask her " What is that?"
She shrugs and says "It looks like a portal of some kind, but there is no way of telling where it will lead to."
" Well any place is better than sticking around here, lets go." I tell her.
She nods, we then move slowly while I turn with my shield to allow the beam to pass as we run for the portal, there is a bright flash as the beam impacts the mountain throwing up a huge cloud of dirt and dust thus covering our escape, as we head for the portal it is slowly starting to shrink once we are through the portal it shuts and we find our selves in a forest I turn to Raven with a smile.
" Well, that was fun lets not do it again, at least it seems that we are safe for the moment. " I say as I look around the clearing for any danger.
" Yes, but for how long Ryuu?" Raven asks as she looks around as well.
"I'm going to get Ebony and Onyx out and have them scout around." I say as my hands glow slightly then with a flash of light two black dragons appear before me.
Ebony has yellow eyes and her scales are black with her underbelly scales a dark gray her twin brother Onyx has gray eyes and black scales with the underbelly a dark gray color both of them stand at seven feet tall they both have four fingered clawed hands and a pair of wings that are a dark gray color, They both look to me as I walk up to them.
" I need you two to scout around and find out where we are." I say to them.
" We will return in twenty minutes or sooner if we find something interesting." Ebony says as they spreads their wings for take off. With a quick flap of their wings they both soar into the air and take off to the south and the east.
Onyx who had flown to the east could see the trees thinning the further he flew, once he reached the end of the forest he could see a group of six brightly colored miniature horses otherwise known as ponies, seeing the ponies Onyx assumed that their was a human nearby that could tell him where him and his family had ended up so he flew down to look for the human he thought would be watching the ponies, when he landed he got one hell of a surprise instead of running around and making a lot of noise like the horses in the human world did they just stared at him with caution and a bit of fear but he paid them no mind as he scanned the area until one of the ponies spoke up.
"Excuse me, Mr.Dragon," said the one with the purple coat and dark purple mane with a streak of pink going through it as well as a horn poking out of her mane. Onyx turned to the one who had spoken in surprise.
" Did you just talk purple one ?" Onyx asked in surprise and confusion, earning him an annoyed look from the horned purple pony
" Yes I did, Why is that such a surprise you act like you've never been near Equestria before." The purple one says with slight annoyance and mild curiosity.
Onyx looks confusedly at the purple one before asking " Where is Equestria I've never heard of it before." Now its the ponies turn to look surprised.
" How could you not know about Equestria, have you been living under a rock your whole life or something." asks the rainbow maned winged pony with a blue coat.The horned white one with a purple mane done in an elegant curl looks appalled at the rainbow maned one.
" Rainbow Dash don't be so uncouth that was incredibly rude, some dragons tend to live by themselves and not care about the rest of the world." The horned white pony admonished her rainbow maned friend.
" While what you say is true, however none in my family are like that, we are usually on the battlefield with our partners protecting those that we can, with that said me and my family have no idea where we are, we came through a portal and ended up in that forest. " Onyx tells the six ponies.
The winged yellow one with a pink mane whispers to the purple one.
" Um Twilight, he keeps saying family but um dragons live in groups that they call flights so this family he keeps talking about might be made up of creatures other than dragons it might be best to find out what they are and their intentions."
Twilight nods as she turns to the dragon. " Um Mr.Dragon who are you and what is it you and your family want here?" Twilight asks.
" Oh, where are my manners, my name is Onyx formerly of the black dragon flight, my family sent me to find out where we are and if we are safe, what my family wants is to live in peace, unfortunately we are constantly pursued for things out of our control," Onyx says with a slight bow.
"Now, who are you and your friends ?" Onyx asks as he straightens up.
" My name is Twilight Sparkle, and these are my friends, Rarity," she points to the horned white one," Applejack" she points to an orange coated mare with a blonde mane and wearing a stetson, "Rainbow Dash" at this she points to the rainbow maned winged pony, "Pinkie Pie" she then points at a pink coated pony with a dark pink mane that is very curly, "and Fluttershy" as she points to the yellow winged pony with a pink mane as she tries to hide behind it, Twilight Sparkle says while gesturing to her friends.
" It's a pleasure to meet you all, would it be alright if I brought my family to that town over there so that we can rest up and decide where to go from here ?" Onyx ask as he looks at the distant town.
Twilight looks at the town in the distance and asks,
" Do you mean ponyville ? "
Onyx nods " As long as that's not going to be a problem, we can always camp in this forest if need be."
Twilight looks surprised " That forest is called the Everfree Forest it is a highly dangerous place, you should get your family out of there before something bad happens to them."
Just then an explosion happens in the forest. Onyx lets out a sigh "That was part of my family I'm more worried for the creatures that live in there then my family, each member is powerful but I will bring them to that town over there in a few hours."
Twilight looks surprised but nods. "Take them to the large oak tree in town that's where I live you can use it as a meeting point, see you and your family in a few hours." she then turns and starts walking back to town with her friends.
" Goodbye all see you soon." Onyx says as he spreads his wings and takes off for his family, hoping that they don't go over board.... again.
Back at camp Ryuu and Raven are fighting off a pack of 15 timber wolfs, Ryuu is running interference to keep the timber wolfs away while Raven channels her magic to launch large amounts of fireballs at these silly wolfs who thought they were going to get an easy meal, they learned quickly that these strange creatures would not be made a meal so easily as yet another timber wolf was hit in the face with a fireball the size of it head making the death count rise to 7 all the while the pair where continuing to talk to each other.
As Raven launched another fireball she called to Ryuu " I'm just saying you could always stand to practice a bit more with your spells, then you would be an even more deadly fighter." she then shot another fireball into the wolfs trying to get the drop on them.
Ryuu blocked one wolf with his shield as he slashed at the one trying to attack him from the side, he then ducked as a wolf lunged at him form behind he then responded as he shoved the wolf off his shield to stab it in the back, " And I'm telling you that right now is so not the time for this, I'll practice more when I have time and as long as their isn't any danger that my magic could hurt someone." He then jumped back from an attempted bite and kicked it in the face as Raven shot yet another with fire bringing the kill count to 11 as the final 4 timber wolfs were circling the pair Ebony and Onyx came flying in grabbing 2 wolfs each they both held them at arms length and took a deep breath and spewed their fire into their faces burning the wolfs to a crisp. Ebony and Onyx landed before their brother and sister looking them over for any damage before they both smiled.
"We can't go anywhere for 20 minutes without you two getting into a fight, well at least it was with an enemy and not each other." Ebony joked to her friends getting her a glare form Raven and Ryuu.
" We do not get into fights with each other we just spar very aggressively." Ryuu states with an annoyed look on his face as he looks between the two dragons, " So did you two find anything out there?" Ryuu asks.
Ebony shakes her head, " All I could see to the south was more forest and a lot of creatures trying to hide form me while others were trying to challenge me, the silly fools don't know who they were challenging." she sighs to herself.
"Well I have good news then, I found a village to the east and I talked with some of them, they have agreed to let us visit the town and if we decide to stay there we could easily get the materials we would need to build a home with this forest so close to it, oh and one last thing the citizens of this land are talking colorful ponies and we are currently in the land of Equestria inside what they call the Everfree forest which is apparently very dangerous." Onyx said with a smile as he watched the looks on his friends faces, and he was not disappointed they all looked at him like he grew a second head, he just laughed it off.
" Well at least you found something so we don't have to stay out here this forest is giving me the creeps." Raven said while looking into the trees around them suspiciously.
" Alright, lead the way Onyx hopefully we can reach this village before nightfall, Ebony fly over watch for us and warn us if something is heading our way I don't want anymore surprises today." Ryuu says to Onyx before turning to address Ebony for the second part. Ebony gives a salute before taking off into the air to look for anything that could be a danger to her family.
Onyx leads them through the forest as quickly as he can, and avoids any dangers that Ebony warns them about, they arrive at the edge of the forest after a few hours of walking, they made it about two hours before sunset, after making it to the edge of the trees Ebony flew down to join them for the walk into town. The ponies that are out and see them quickly decide to go inside before any of the group can say a word.
Ebony gives a snort seeing their obvious fear, " They act as if we were going to slaughter the town or something." Ebony says with slight humor in her voice, as she looks around at the ponies peeking at them from behind their curtains before quickly ducking back to hide.
" For all they know that is exactly what we are here to do, so lets do our best to not scare them." Ryuu says calmly as he walks beside Raven, he then looks at Ebony, " So stop showing off your teeth to the ones that we pass before we are the cause of a riot." Ryuu says before looking a head for the oak tree that Onyx told them about, Ebony sticks her tongue out at Ryuu with a slight smirk before following his advice.
After about another ten minutes they see the old oak tree they were told about as they walk up to the door they get a little nervous this one meeting could determine if they have a new home or if they have to continue their search Onyx smiles back to his family before turning back to the door with his fist raised to knock.
Onyx knocked on the door, he waited with a smile on his face as he heard movement coming from inside, the door was then wrapped in a light purple aura and slowly pulled open showing the purple unicorn from before looking slightly surprised as she glanced at the clock on the wall behind her, she then turned back to Onyx,
" I thought it would take you another hour to get here," Twilight said as she pushed the door open wider to let them come inside.
" We got lucky there weren't any creatures trying to fight us so we took the most direct path out, " Onyx said as he moved inside before stopping and moving to the side to introduce his family.
" Allow me to introduce my family, this is Raven, " he says as Raven steps in from outside giving a smile before moving to the side, " and my twin sister Ebony," he said as Ebony gave a nod before moving aside, " and this is Ryuu the leader of our little family." Onyx says with a smirk at the end.
Ryuu just shakes his head at Onyx before looking around the at the other ponies before looking to Twilight he then held out his hand and gave a gentle smile " Its a pleasure to meet you and your friends Onyx gave us a brief description of you all on the walk here."
Twilight carefully put her hoof in Ryuu's hand and gave a quick shake before asking, " Um... not to be rude but what are you? I've never seen anything like you before."
Ryuu chuckles slightly, " I'm am what is known as a human, to be specific I am a warrior and a protector, my twin sister Raven is also a human, but she is what we call an elemental mage she is who I protect before all others."
Raven gives a snort, " I am perfectly capable of protecting myself, all I need is a little more practice."
Ryuu chuckles lightly, " When you can beat me in solo combat then you can protect your self until then my promise to mom is still in effect, besides I'm your brother you will always want me to be nearby."
Raven gives a smirk, " I so almost had you last time."
Ryuu shook his head before responding, " The key word there is "almost" and that is the difference between victory or defeat, but we shall talk about this later for now I think we are being a little rude by ignoring our hosts."
Raven lets out a sigh, " I'm sorry brother I'm just a little nervous."
Ryuu gives her a smile which is quickly returned, Twilight then steps forward from her group as she asks, " What do any of you have to be nervous about, its not like anypony here is going to attack you, not unless you give us a reason to think that we might be in any danger."
Onyx speaks up from his spot leaning against the wall beside the door, " We have a strict policy about not harming any who don't deserve it, so as long as no one tries to hurt any of us we have no reason to hurt anyone, in fact most of the family tends to use what healing they know in order to help everyone we meet, one of us has even found a way to bring back the spirits of the dead for a brief time and can cure a lot of diseases and plagues."
The ponies sit there with their mouths hanging open while Ryuu gives him a look that just shouts you should have kept your mouth shut, to which Onyx just shrugs before saying, " Its better to tell them now before we get comfortable just in case, besides, I kind of like it here so if they can accept us then we have no problems, and if they don't well then at least we have a forest that they wont go into that we can live in, I'm just tired of having to run from every town as soon as they find out about you, I'm hoping that these ponies will at least listen before trying to kill us."
" Is that even possible ? I've never heard of a spell like that before." Twilight ask after she picks her jaw up off the floor.
Rainbow Dash rolls her eyes, " Of course you would pick out the spells before anything else, how about the fact that they are on the run, that means that they are criminals of some kind." she says as she flares her wings and gets in a fighting posture.
Ryuu lets out a snort and folds his arms across his chest, " The only thing I ever did wrong was accidentally kill my trainer during training, but that's not why we are on the run, we are on the run because I discovered that I could do magic and unfortunately for us it was the wrong kind of magic."
" What kind of magic could you possibly know that would make you be hunted down? " Twilight asks with a slight tilt of her head.
Raven speaks up with " Ryuu is what is known as a necromancer, his magic allows him to affect the dead, he can bring back the bodies of the dead, he can summon the spirits of the fallen to do things for him, or for the spirits to answer questions with their wisdom, or just to say goodbye to their family, most necromancers that our world has know have tried to take over the world with an undead army or wipe out entire villages to do experiments on the dead, but Ryuu would never do anything like that he cares too much for others to even attempt to take over not to mention that he would never dishonor our mothers memory like that, it would go against his very soul to bring unnecessary suffering to others."
Twilight and the others are surprised to say the least, especially with how free they are with information, the six ponies look to each other before Applejack steps forward with a serious look on her face, " What is it ya intend to do here in Equestria ? and be honest I'll be able to tell if your liein' to me."
Ryuu step in front of Applejack then kneels down to be closer to her height then looks her straight in the eyes before speaking calmly and seriously " Me and my family are only here looking for a place where we can finally stop running and settle down, to find a place where others accept us for who we are, and we have no intention of harming anyone we only want to help and to protect others so that none have to suffer, that is all we intend for this land and if you don't believe me then we shall move on to a new land and try again until either I'm dead or we are accepted."
Applejack nods to him before looking back to the other mares , " He is telling the truth they pose no threat to Equestria but he will defend his family worse than an angry manticore." she then turns back to him, " I have ta ask why would they stop searching if you died? "
Ryuu sighs before explaining, " The only reason they have to be on the run is because of me, if I wasn't around then they would be easily accepted and no one would be hunting them anymore."
Raven says from her spot nearby, " If you were to die we wouldn't find a place and be accepted, we would probably follow you shortly after."
Twilight tilts her head in slight confusion, " What do you mean by that ? surely you wouldn't just die with him it's not as if your lives are linked or anything, right?"
Raven nods before responding, " You would be correct nothing is linking us to him, however for us life would be over we wouldn't want to be without him, he is the one who brought our family together and kept us together, for me I would make sure he didn't have to make the journey to the spirit realm alone I would be there with him just as he is here for me in life I would be there for him in death, regardless of what you say Ryuu I wont let you make that journey alone."
Ryuu looks to Raven before shaking his head, " You know I will never allow you to do that right, I would cross every line that I had to so that you would stay alive, there are going to be many who will come to relie on you in the coming years, and the needs of the many will always out weigh the needs of the few, if I was to die you have to protect the family and our friends, besides I wont make the journey alone all the friends I've made with the spirits will make sure I get to the spirit realm safely and besides I'm not gonna die any time soon first someone has to get the better of me in battle and thats not gonna happen for a very long time especially with my family watching my back."
Ebony then speaks from her spot on the opposite side of the door, " There is something you're both forgetting, it is the job of the familiar to guide your spirit to the spirit realm, so no matter what you wont be alone on your journey, but we wont need to die in order to guide you to your rest we will then return to our bodies and stay here to watch over Raven for you, but we should not talk of this stuff it may bring bad luck."
Onyx then points out, " I think we are scaring the ponies just a little bit with how easily we talk about death and dying."
Ryuu then looks to the ponies seeing their shocked faces he then sighs, " I must apologize for what me and my family have said we didn't mean to let any of you see that, but when we get going we tend to forget where we are and who is around, so let us put all of this behind us and try again, will you allow me and my family to stay in this town or should we keep looking ? "
It takes a few minutes but eventually the ponies decide to form a huddle to talk about what should be done.
Twilight decides to start things off by saying, " there seems to be a lot that we can learn from them, I think we should let them stay."
Rainbow scoffs at that, " They're criminals Twilight, we can't let them stay here who knows what they would do, we should turn them over to the royal guards and be done with it.
Rarity speaks up next, " I agree with Rainbow dash on this one of them is a killer Twilight we shouldn't let him wander around freely he should face judgement for his crimes."
Applejack snorts, " He killed his trainer accidentally, he shouldn't be punished for it accidents happen, he even said that the only reason he is being chased is for his magic being the wrong kind, it sounds ta me like he wouldn't even have been punish that badly for the death but as soon as they found out about his magic they were gonna kill him for it and that just aint right, its like somepony wanting to kill one of ya'll for having the wrong type of magic its just wrong, we should either let 'em stay or we should help 'em get to someplace that they could be safe.
Pinkie is next in the circle, she thinks on it for a few moments before getting a grin on her face, " We should let them stay they seem like nice ponies to me and besides I get to throw them a few parties if they get to stay, oh oh oh and my pinkie sense isn't going off so they should be alright."
Fluttershy smiles gently at Pinkies silliness before looking at Twilight, " From what we have heard from them they seem to have been caught up in a lot of misfortune, we should give them a chance to prove if they mean well, they said that they go around healing and helping others, so why don't we let them do that for about a week and then let the town decide if they should stay or go." Fluttershy suggested
Twilight thinks about it for a moment before nodding, " That's a good idea Fluttershy but we should keep why they are on the run hidden for now so that the town can be unbiased about their decision."
The other girls all nod in agreement Rainbow and Rarity with much lest enthusiasm than the others, Twilight then turns to face Ryuu and says with a smile, " You and your family can stay here in Ponyville you will go around town and help any who need it and help out at the hospital then after one week we will have the town vote on if you can stay permanently or if you will have to find a different town, just to be fair the townsponies wont know why your on the run only that it was a misunderstanding with your magic, what you choose to tell them is up to you, your week long probation starts in the morning, so just for tonight you all can sleep on here but I don't have any extra beds so you will have to sleep on the floor."
Ryuu gives her a smile, " We don't mind sleeping on the floor, thank you for your hospitality and for at least giving us a chance." Raven, Onyx, and Ebony all share a smile before walking up to the group of ponies with Ryuu they then all drop to a knee and give Twilight a brief group hug before giving the other ponies hugs as well, much to Pinkies enjoyment when its her turn.
Twilight gives the group a smile before letting loose a yawn and looking to the clock on the wall and seeing that it read one in the morning decided it was time to get some sleep, turned back to her friend as well as her guests, " Well everypony it's time for us to all get some sleep we all have a busy day ahead of us tomorrow." everyone nods to her before saying their good nights with her friends heading for the door and two of her guests going through their packs while Ebony and Onyx just curl up on the floor near Ryuu, Twilight then levitates out some spare blankets and pillows from a hall closet and passes them to her guests before heading up to her room barely hearing the "thank yous" from them before heading for bed.
Ryuu and Raven pull out their sleeping rolls and lay them out before climbing in for some much needed sleep, so with quick good nights they all drift off to sleep quickly hoping that by the end of the week they will have a new home.
