Princess Cadence's Big Day

"Princess Cadence, would you like to do the honors?"

Princess Cadence stepped up to the stand in front of the many ponies of Canterlot. She stood next to Captain Shining Armor, wearing his uncle's crest. Princess Cadence smiled at the thought of how many times he worn that before. But she could never shun him; Cadence thought it was sweet that Shining Armor wore that in remembrance of his uncle. With her magic, she levitated the scissors that Princess Celestia held and cut the ribbon to the newest shop; a shop made for Cadence and Shining big day. The shop was just a small building, but inside was a smooth ground floor with many tables for two. The shop was a diner for couples to bluntly put it. The menu had many of both Shining and Cadence's favorite foods, with even more delicacies that were unknown to them. When the ribbon was cut, a wave of cheering washed over as Shining and Cadence came together in a hug.

After the ceremony ended and everypony left, Princess Cadence and Shining Armor stood in front of the shop. Both of them cheerfully looked over the new shop that was closed. After a while, they finally galloped away. One pony though continued standing in the shadows. She came out from the shadows, her hooves changing into pink with golden shoes. She walked out and had the appearance of Cadence. She muttered to herself, "She's the one."

Laughter and shouts of joy rang through the room as Princess Cadence and Princess Celestia drew together on a piece of paper. After a while, Princess Celestia then asked, "How this?"

Princess Cadence looked over what Princess Celestia drew. It was drawn Princess Cadence and Shining Armor together on the top. In the center, it was written, "Princess Celestia cordially invites you to the wedding of Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and Shining Armor." After a while of observing, Princess Cadence approved, "This is perfect! I can't wait to send out the invitations!"

"As do I. I can't believe that after so long, you are finally getting married!" Princess Celestia then gave the paper to one of the guardspony, who then ran after receiving the paper.

Shining Armor then walked in with a cheerful smile. "There you are Cadence! Nice to see you Princess Celestia." Shining gave a little bow to Celestia and walked over to Cadence. "How's the invitations?"

"It's great!" Cadence positively replied. "We just sent out the copy."

"That's great!" Shining Armor exclaimed. "Now who are we going to send the-

"Captain Armor!"

Shining Armor turned around to find one of the guards panting. "Sir, problem. The Changelings. They're coming. We need you now!"

Shining Armor ears drooped as he turned to Cadence. "Sorry, I have to take care of this."

Cadence gave a smile of acknowledgement. "Protecting the land comes first. Good luck Shining Armor!"

With a final kiss on his cheek, Shining ran off with the other guards. Princess Celestia walked up to Cadence and spoke, "While he's off with his work, let's continue with the planning."

Cadence looked over to where Shining Armor ran off. Far-off, she saw Shining Armor waving, in which Cadence returned the wave. After he continued running, Cadence turned to Celestia. "Yes, we should continue the preparations."

Walking along, Cadence looked over the new force field that Shining made. She had to admit it; Shining was powerful. As she continued down the hallways, she found Princess Celestia also traveling the hallways. Smiling, she ran over to Celestia. As Cadence approached, she noticed something a little off about Celestia. She stopped running and skidded to a halt. With concern, Cadence asked, "Is there something wrong Celestia?"

Celestia then glanced over Cadence and began to walk over to Cadence with a grin growing across her face. Not a friendly grin or anything that seemed greeting, but a grin that seemed to nerve her. Cadence stepped back as Celestia approached. "W-What's wrong?"

Celestia pointed her horn to Cadence and a green flame circled around her. She gasped as the fire grew around her. "What are you doing to me?" before yelping at the look Celestia gave. Celestia then spoke, "I need you out of the way." She then transformed into Cadence, which Cadence eyes grew big. She attempted to yelp, but she sunk into the ground before she could make any sound. With a grimace, the fake Cadence then walked away, never ceasing her smile.

Cadence laid on the ground sobbing. She wasn't sobbing that she was going to missing the wedding. Okay, maybe a little tinge of sadness for that, but the main thing is that Cadence was afraid of what would happen to her Shining Armor. She knew that that fake Candace would definitely hurt Shining, but she didn't know what to do. She needed to escape, but there was no where to go. No light shown. No warmth could be felt. Just a cold, solid floor in a dark, freezing cave. She didn't dare move. She was too afraid to budge. She was afraid that someone or something would attack her, maybe kill her. She was afraid for her friends that were coming. She was afraid. Her fear wouldn't allow her to use magic. She wanted someone with her, someone to fill the void of loneliness creeping on her. She sobbed as the cave echoed her every cry for help. Each yell echoed and returned to her, increasing her loneliness even more. After a while, Cadence teared up as she sat on the floor. Many thoughts continued to torture her. Every sound made her more frightened. She finally fell to sleep as she had nightmares of what evil could torture her future husband. She didn't know what would happen to her, nor did she care. She just continued to think about her Shining Armor.

-Author's Notes-

Something I thought to put together quickly. Hope you guys enjoy it. If it feels rushed, that's because it was. So here's my story with a sad ending. But you guys know what happens next if you watch Episode 52. Hope you enjoyed! And if I feel like it, I'll revise my story if there are many people that ask/beg/plead/command.

Edit: I hope I got Cadence's name right this time.
