Sweetie Belle and Button Play A BEARY scary Game
Five Nights at Sweetie's
Load Full Story(Kind-of-sort-of sequel to Pinkie Pie and Twilight Play a BLOCKBUSTER Game)
It was a cool, windy evening in the town of Ponyville. The residents were all snug in their houses, visiting or settling down for the night. One young colt was making his way to a sleep over, however, with his friend Sweetie Belle. He had planned a very interesting game for them to play that night.
As he neared the residence, he saw the light by the front door come on, and Sweetie Belle walked out to greet him. "I'm so glad you could make it!" she exclaimed. She lead him inside, taking his jacket from him to hang up. She lead him to the common area, to which Button and Sweetie sat down together. They visited for a bit, asking each other how the others day was. They had made a steaming batch of lemon zinger tea, Sweetie's favorite, and sipped collectively at their mugs. Button had been reading his comics, looking for an update, but ther was none. Fed up, he tossed it aside, mumbling gibberish to himself. He then remembered his bag, and also recollected that he had brought a game for them to play. He smiled slyly and glanced at Sweetie Belle.
"Hey Sweetie, do you want to play this game I brought?"
"Sure, what's it called?"
"Five Nights At Freddy's, it's an indie point-and-click horror game. It's set in a pizzeria, and you're the night guard. At different times, the statues come to life and try to kill you. You have to last until six A:M, but power goes down fast. Once you're out, you die."
"Umm, that sounds a bit... scary for this evening, doesn't it?"
"Oh, come on, it'll be fun! We'll take turns each time one of us dies."
So they went to the PC in Rarity's inspiration room, and put in the game. Once they were on the title screen, Button told her how to play. "Okay, you gotta check the cameras from time to time, they can't move if you watch them. Only close the doors when you have to though, they drain power. If they get outside the doors, don't open them until the light doesn't show them, okay?"
"Alright, but what happens if I make it to six A:M?"
"You win that part of the game, and then you only have four more nights to go."
Sweetie took a deep breath, and clicked start game. She saw the room in which she is supposed to survive in. Then she heard a phone going off. "That's Mr. Phone Man, he helps guide you through the nights. He also rambles a bit here so you can just ignore it if you want."
Sweetie checked the cameras, and gasped a little when she saw four animatronic figures in a small room. "Those are the enemies, and there's also another one in Pirate's Cove, check it to make sure he isn't here already." She checked the camera that he pointed at, but didn't see anything.
"I don't see him anywhere."
"Okay, so you should have a smooth first night, if you're fast enough."
Sweetie wondered what that meant, but shrugged it off. He laughed at her expression, a mixture of confusion and anticipation. He had never seen these emotions combined on her visage before tonight, so it amused him greatly. She heard his snicker, but paid it no mind. He always did that, just to annoy her. Most of the time it worked, but not tonight.
"So, are you going to check the doors? They could be there already, you know."
Sweetie checked the doors for a second, and lit up the hallway. "And I'm supposed to check these frequently?" she asked. Button just nodded his head, but then projected her attention back to the screen.
"Look! The rabbit moved! Watch those cameras!"
Sweetie looked around, and then finally saw the rabbit, stopped in a hallway, just staring blankly at the camera. Her knee involuntarily twitched, hitting the desk. "Oh NO!! What do I do now?!"
"Just check the doors, make sure they're not outside." Button Mash was trembling now, absorbed in the game.
Sure enough, when she clicked the light, a flash of light illuminated the rabbit. Button and Sweetie both screamed, and Sweetie shut the door. She panted, and a slight tingling sensation ran up her spine. Then she checked the other cameras, and saw that the duck and bear had moved as well. She held her breath. She opened one of the doors, and the rabbit was illuminated briefly. She yelped and shut the door again. She checked the cameras, and saw some glowing circles by Pirate's Cove. That must be the other one that Button mentioned. She closed the other door for safe measures. Nothing was there, thankfully. The time had seemingly passed without effort, and was going rather well. The time said five o'clock, so she figured she was alright. She was relaxing, admiring the graphics of the game. They really were quite good. She checked the cameras again, not seeing anything wrong.
"Button, I think we're gonna make it!"
Just then, the power died, leaving them in utter blackness. Then, a glowing face in the door flashed, and a dingly-dongly tune played. Sweetie and Button relaxed. The tune stopped, and all was quiet. They sat there for a minute, waiting for it to say game over. Just as they were calm, a giant bear face popped up on screen with a loud noise accompanying it. They both screamed loudly, and Sweetie passed out. Button stood there, paralyzed, his eye twitching.
An hour later, Sweetie had been revived, and the two sat there, conversing into the night. Sweetie had enjoyed the evening, and hoped they could do this again soon. Button said he hoped so too, and they sat there, staring into the star filled sky. Their minds went back to the game, and they both cringed, the evil of pizzerias forever burned into their minds. They vowed never to step into another one again. Little did they know, they had failed to see a lumbering shadow, which looked oddly like a large rabbit, sneaking from the bushes, into the house... when it smacked its face on the low doorframe, and fell down flat, empty eyes staring up. They had heard the noise though, and looked at each other.
"What was that?" they said in unison.
They disregarded the sound, however, and went back inside for a good nights sleep. The wee hours of the morning were upon them, and they drifted off. The moon casting a gentle glow about the room. Not a noise was made. Except for snoring fillies.
Author's Note
Okay, so as previously mentioned, this was requested of me by a fine gentleman, ButtonMash, even though I am very bad at this, he apparently enjoyed my other story. Also remember that this whole "- plays a game" thing could be turned into a series, and I DO take suggestions, and will try to get them all. Please leave constructive criticism, and I hope you enjoyed.
