Rainbow Dash and Applejack Play Skyrim
Friggin' stupid dragons...
It was another uneventful day in Cloudsdale. The weather team had just come back, and just in time. Rainbow dash had a plan to meet with Applejack later that day, and didn't want to keep her waiting. She raced to Sweet Apple Acres, just in time to see Big Mac coming back toward the house. She confronted him and asked, "Have you seen Applejack today?" He nodded, pointing at the barn. Rainbow thanked him and went towards the building. She knocked on the door, and upon hearing no answer, entered the premises.
She saw Applejack closing a hatch in the floor. Puzzled, but deciding not to think about the smell, she and Applejack made their way to Rainbow Dash's house. Now, since Applejack was an earth pony, she had Twilight give her the cloud-walking spell. Once inside, they made a pitcher of drinks and sat down. "So, I have this awesome game that I've been wanting to show you, AJ." Rainbow said. She turned on her P-BOX and slipped a disc in the slot. Applejack waited as Rainbow turned the game on.
"Skyrim? Sugarcube, what the hay have you got there?"
Rainbow turned to her. "It's this absolutely amazing role-playing action adventure game I found a few months ago. I was browsing games at the store and this looked neat, so I bought it." She gave the controller to Applejack and taught her the controls, and what to do. Then it started.
"Now, I have all the DLC, so not everything is default. Look, up there, that's a dragon, and it looks like he doesn't want to play right now." She had Applejack get out a glass bow, and had her equip some Dwarven arrows. Once the creature was defeated, she had Applejack travel to a place called Riverwood.
"So, is this a river in a wooded area, then? 'Cause I don't see no riv... oh." Applejack found herself at the bank of a raging river, at the edge of town. Rainbow Dash told her to go to the blacksmith. She bought some glass daggers, and told AJ to equip them. She had her go all over Tamriel, until they went to The Throat Of The World. Rainbow told her to look for a dragon called Paarthurnax, and talk to him. Once she found him, she was astounded by his deep, booming voice. It could put Brad Roberts to shame. After he had spoken, she was off to Solitude, to find the Jarl, Elisif. She didn't really offer interesting conversation though.
"Hey, kill her, she's boring."
"Rainbow, that's rather foalish, isn't it? She's a queen, we shou..."
"It's 'Jarl', and it doesn't matter, she's useless anyway."
Applejack sighed. "Fine." she said, and she cut Elisif down. Right as she did that, a guard started attacking her. She then died, and for some reason respawned outside the city. She wondered how she got here, because she had been in the city. "How the hay did Ah git out here?"
"Because you didn't save there, you autosaved when you fast-traveled."
Applejack grunted, as was her normal response when annoyed. She trekked back up the city's length, and this time went in a shop called Radiant Raiment. She saw all the fancy clothing, but nothing useful, so she robbed the owners. She found them to be snobby gobbers anyway.
She went on her way again, ignoring the city guards, and the odd civilian man., chasing her. She finally got out of sight of them all, and stopped to eat some food, and cast a healing spell. She heard a roar, not too far from her location.
"Uhh, AJ, another dragon is coming."
"What? Stupid dragons, leave me alone!"
Her thu'um was powerful enough that the dragon dropped dead on the first hit. Applejack just smirked, and Rainbow Dash sat there in awe, not understanding how it died so fast. Applejack went all over the place, and finally came upon what they had been trying to find for the past few hours: the location to transcribe the Lexicon. After finishing with that, Rainbow dash had her turn. To her dismay, Applejack seemingly killed all the dragons, and none would show up to fight. She frowned, not knowing what to do. She wandered around, searching for enemies to slay, and to find a Shrine to the Divine's so she could get the blessings. This went on for a few hours, until Applejack finally found the Temple Of Talos. She clicked the shrine, and suddenly, lights flew around her, making her jump a little. She finally had a blessing from the shrine. "Hay, Ah've been tryin' ta git that darn spell all day!" Rainbow Dash was getting frustrated that Applejack was better than her. She was fed up with being beaten for the day.
"Hey Applejack, what should we do?"
"Have you finished that quest with the ruby dragon claw?"
"No, not yet, that place is difficult to navigate, even for me. All of Skyrim's caves are."
Applejack smirked. She set down her cider and gave Rainbow Dash a light nudge. "So, does that mean ya give up on it?"
Rainbow was shocked. "What? No! It's just difficult, because everything down there looks the sa..."
Applejack cut her off. "Now, now, excuses won't get ya nowhere, just admit you can't do it."
Rainbow couldn't fathom it. A challenge she couldn't complete? She shivered at the thought of her perceived awesomeness disintegrating. Her eye twitched, and she passed out.
A few hours later, she awoke on her bed, with an ice pack on her forehead. She wondered how she got here, then remembered what happened. She groaned, and sat up slowly. Applejack heard the noise, and came running in. "Oh, you're awake, ah thought you would be asleep longer. You were really tired, weren't ya?" Rainbow Dash just nodded, which hurt like Cerberus itself had chewed on her head. Now that would be interesting. But it was just the impact of her face on the floor, which begged the question: why do clouds hurt? They shouldn't affect pagasi, they lived on clouds. She shook it off as another fluke. Applejack smiled, and left the house. The moon now shone brightly down on her, as she basked in the cool breeze.
