Second Chance for a Madman
Somewhere in Nevada....
"Get him in the Mag Machine, Deimos, quick!" Yelled an armless and legless man wielding a sharp hook tied to his wrist. He was sporting a light grey vest and black "jeans" with pouches on the belt around them. Said jeans were covering up some of the bandages around his abdomen, likewise, his black bandana was covering up some of the band - aids around his head. He was also wearing black mirrored shades (Lots of black) and always seemed to have a pouting expression over his "cross - face". He wore black combat boots on his feet.
His companion, Deimos, too lacked any sort of appendages connecting his hands and feet to his torso and had bandages on his head covered by a sun visor and headphones. He had a white shirt and black jacket over a grey vest with a large radio strapped to his back, he also had black trainers on. "I'm on it Sanford!" He replied as he dragged his other dead friend, Hank, through one of the doors in the dull gray room.
Hank also wore pitch black trainers and was wearing a black trench coat and gloves. Over his head he wore a black ninja mask and red mirrored shades.
Once through the door, Deimos threw Hank into a small metal chamber and closed the door on it before walking up to the console next to it and punching in some commands.
"BANG!!!!"
Deimos felt a searing pain in his abdomen and saw blood spatter over the console, HIS blood. He fell to the floor and saw the ATP agent walking out of the door. Through the spreading blackness in his vision he just managed to see a big, clawed hand pull open the door on the Mag chamber.
Somewhere in Equestria....
A certain lavander allicorn with a purple mane that had a lighter purple streak running through it and had two large stars with six smaller stars around them for her cutie mark was up late at night in her castle, stargazing. "Hmmm.... That's odd," Twilight Sparkle commented upon seeing a strange sort of meteor flying through the sky, "Luna hasn't planned any meteor showers for tonight, w-wait a second, is it just me or is it getting closer?"
The "meteor" was indeed getting closer, "It seems to be headed straight for the Everfree Forest!" She exclaimed. The unidentified object seemed to slow it's decent as it got closer to the forest and stopped just shy of it before another, smaller, object fell out of it. When this was done the first object dissipated. "Celestia needs to know about this," Twilight thought aloud, "SPIIIIIIIKE!!" She called for her assistant.
"What?" He grumbled as the green and purple baby dragon dragged himself up the stairs.
"Take a letter please," she responded.
"Fine," he went down stairs and came back with a roll of parchment and a quill.
"Dear Princess Celestia...."
Later, in the Everfree Forest....
"Argh, ouch," Deimos moaned as he returned to the world of the living and stood up, "How am I even alive? And why does everything make my eyes hurt?"
He noticed that his abdomen was still bleeding and so he ripped a strip off of his vest and used it as a makeshift bandage. He than got a good look at his surroundings and found himself in a clearing in a thick forest of sorts, then he heard the voices.
"Are you sure that it was here Twilight?" Asked a raspy female voice.
"Yes Rainbow, it was in the clearing just ahead, maybe you could fly up and take a look for us?" Replied another female voice.
"On it!"
Uh - oh. Deimos quickly dived behind a bush just as some sort of flying horse flew by overhead, looking for something, presumably him.
Beforehand....
"Alright girls, listen up," Twilight ordered, "Just now I spotted a strange anomaly over the Everfree Forest and Celestia wants us to check it out,"
"Th-the Everf-free?" Stammered a timid pale yellow, pink maned, Pegasus. She had three pink butterflies as her cutie mark.
"Yes Fluttershy, the Everfree," Twilight replied.
"Urgh, my hooves will get filthy in there!" Complained an alabaster unicorn with a fancy purple mane in a posh voice and had three blue gems as her cutie mark.
"Oh, quit yer yappin' Rarity, it'll wash off!" Shot back an orange earth pony mare with a blonde mane and setston who had a trio of red apples for her cutie mark.
"Yeah! Applejack is right Rarity, stop whining!" Backed up Twilight's Cyan coated and rainbow maned friend, Rainbow Dash. Her cutie mark was a cloud with a rainbow streak coming out of the bottom.
"Oooo,oooo!Maybeit'sanalienwhoisalllonelyandsadandNeedsustobehisorherfriendsandthenwecanthrowhimorherapartyandmakehimorherhappy!!!!" A pink mare with an even more pink and poofy mane with a trio of balloons as a cutie mark somehow managed to shove into one sentence.
"Pinkie Pie, aliens don't exist," Twilight calmly stated, well trained in the art of understanding her party - pony friend.
"You don't know that you silly filly! Anyway, let's go!" Pinkie started bouncing off into the forest while her friends followed tentatively behind.
Present....
"Something has defiantly been here, the dirt is scuffed up," the flying equine reported.
What!? Did it just talk? Deimos slowly pulled his barrette handgun out of it's holster and held it at the ready. Five more of the strange creatures appeared, another flying one, a flying one with a horn too, one with just a horn and two 'normal' horses.
"Well that's weird.... That implies that; either Pinkie is right and it's an alien or, that something in the forest moved it, which is unlikely." The other voice from before replied.
Then Deimos heard a growling from behind him, the six horse creatures obviously heard it too, for they all quickly turned towards his hiding spot. Damn. Deimos spun round in time to see a large paw connect with his face which sent him flying into a tree. Ouch. The six female "horses" all gasped at this turn of events. Deimos only just managed to roll out of the way of the beast's second swipe and then got a good look at it. It seemed to have the head and body of a lion, the tail of a scorpion and the wings of a bat. What in Nevada is that!? He hurriedly looked around for his gun that fell from his grasp as the thing prepared for another charge, he found it at the hooves(?) of the female creature with a horn and wings and made a fast dive for it. Too slow. The hostile beast grabbed him in it's gaping maw and shook him about.
When it slowed down enough for Deimos to regain conscious thought, he yelled at the horses, "You wouldn't happens to know how to deal with a situation like this would you?"
At this, they all gasped, "It's sentient?" The one that had the Barrette at her hooves questioned.
"One: he, not it, two: naaaaaw, I'm not sentient Sherlock. Just pass me the gun!!"
"The what?"
"The gun! Y' know, the one on the ground in front of yooooooow!" The thing that had him in its jaw bit down a little bit harder, "NOW!"
This startled her into action, the handgun floated up to her (WHAT!?) and then propelled towards Deimos. He caught it then fired two shots into the beast's right fore leg BANG!! BANG!!
The 6 females jumped in surprise again and the monster helped in pain and let him go. The thing limped as fast as it could, yelping into the forest and Deimos flopped to the floor, the creeping blackness in his vision telling him that he was falling unconscious again.
"We'd better get him to the hospital,"
"Bu-but what about the poor manticore?"
"We can find and help it later but right now this, thing needs medical attention," was all he heard before slipping into unconsciousness.
