Chapters Friendship is a graug...kinda
I jumped of the bus and started to make my way to the school. But as usual i was a half hour to early beacuse it only goes one bus from were i live.
But oh well at least i have an half hour to spend on whatever i want,i could go eat on that new café or i Could take a walk in the park or i could do somthing about that creepy man that looks at me over there or i cou...wait what the fuck?! Ok alex just play it cool just keep walking and forget that happened.
So i continued walking against the school, but i could not stop thinking about that man it was somthing that was off about him. Ok im just gonna go around this corner then im at my school and i will forget that man, but just as i rounded the corner he stod there.
Ok now if you would ask my friends or my about how i am they would probably say:" very cool headed and calm in every situation" but this was different When i looked at him i felt scared. But as the calm and collected person i am i did the only logical thing: i panicked" e-eh c-can i help you w-with somthing?"
Now i know what you think but no im not a coward but how would you react to a man like this huh? I mean: he is around 2,20m very broad shoulders build like a bodybuilder,short beard and wait- red eyes? Then suddenly he spoke
"yes human i actually think you can, you see im playing a game with my...friends and a need another player"
ok this does not look good why do he call me human? I mean sure i am a human but to quote spike:" wow! Dude that's creepy." Umm sorry but i have to be in school in about half an hour soo i don't think i have time" yeah sorry i don't really follow random strangers but good try.

Well at this point i felt like i did not have a choise" wow wow WOW Slow down a step here! On like 15minutes i have learned that gods exist, it is able to freeze time and that YOU want ME of all people to be you champion in a game?

" w-what?" My heart jumped a little i mean i haven't told anyone that i was a brony and the first to know that was a GOD?!....well honestly i did not expect that....

a free ticket to equestria? And with no hatch? It was almost to good to be true and what could i loose? I mean booth my parents had died a couple of years ago and i was now living as an orphan at home, and one of the only things that kept my going was games and mlp." Twilight sparkle lay on her bed and was almost Done with a new book about advanced magic spells.that was untill she heard her stomach growl, she blushed a little" hehe i think it's lunch break, she said while trotting down the stairs. SPIIIIIKEE! Where are you? It's lunch break"
She waited a little while for the dragon to come, but he did not come running as usual" hmm strange he always come running When it's food involved" then it hit her she rememberd that she and spike had come to an agreedment with her friends a while ago that they were going to have lunch today and spike Said that he was going a little earlier but twilight did almost not even hear him When she read.
Oh well she would just have to go and meet up with the rest of her friends and spike now instead. She walked out from her library . And oh how she loves this tree so old, so mystic, and so full off knowledge! " SQUEE!!!" She blushed a little When she saw that the other ponies where looking at her. But she had a lunch to with her friends to catch so no more delays.
Twilight soon arrived the café, and all of her friends were there and waved at her and she waved back. Rainbow dash sighed"well about time you got out off that tree twilight! i was starting to think that i would have to fly over there and drag you out!"
Twilight rolled her eyes." Rarity smiled"oh don't mind her darling she is just hungry and we all know how she can be a bit...grumpy to say at least"
Rainbow dash huffed."im not! Im just grumpy that the wonderbolts had to cancel there show" this catch twilights attention ,the wonderbolts rarely cancels there shows.
"Do you know why they had to cancel rainbow dash?
Rainbow dash sighed"yeah then had to be a part of the Guard that makes sure that the old princesseses castle is safe for when the archa-arche-ac-RAAHH till the nerds get there"she pounded her hoof in the table in frustration. She then looked at twilight and saw that she had a creepy grin.This got her worried"uumm twilight? what are you--she did not even finish her sentence before twilight teleported away to where she assumed was the old castle. spike just sighed" well i say we leave her to do her stuff and while we finish our meal"
Twilight could almost not belive her luck, the princesses had orded there guards to keep the castle safe so the archaeologist could take and secure priceless arctifacts,So now she was walking and hoped to find an really really REALLY old and exiting book! she walked around a good while and finally she found a bookshelf she smiled" jackpot! Now i wonder what secrets you have for me she Said in almost a singsang tone. But When she pulled the book she heard gears started spinning. The bookshelf slid sideways and revealed a secret room with a pedestal and on it was, she could almost not belive her eyes: it was an book! But not just any book this was the oldest book she had ever seen. And the title Said: THE GREAT WAR OF THE GRAUGS.
Twilight was shocked! She had not heard of this war! And she had read all books there was on equestrian history. "I have to show the princess this" as she sneaky was making her way out of the castle and on her way to canterlot she could not stop asking herself: who would try to hide this? She took the train to canterlott and was making her way to the throne room.
Celestia was in her throne room with her sister and had her hooves full with paper, sure it was certainly not the funniest thing but it had to be done. It was good that her sister was there to lit up her Mood at least. Suddenly a guard spoke up:RANDOM GUARD NR1432:"princess celestia your student twilight sparkle is here , and she says she has somthing urgent to tell you"
celestia was not surprised ,everything was urgent for twilight but she was more than happy to take a break. "Very well show her in"the guard bowed and did as he was told. Seconds later a running twilight came in the room." PRINCESS! I have..she then saw luna" s-sorry luna i thought you would be sleeping on the day as usual please let me say that again" luna only smiled" PRINCESSES I HAVE FOUND SOMTHING IMPORTANT I THINK SOMEPONY WHERE TRYING TO HIDE FROM YOU! Now the were worried, were sompony trying to start a rebelforce against them? Celestia Shaked her head "twilight please calm down and explain"
"twilight glanced at the guard" uumm s-sorry i think it's somthing for only your ears your hignesseses.Celestia could not think that her own guards would try somthing but she sent out the guards and casted a soundproff spell at the room.Celestia turned to twilight" now twilight please tell us what you found out.Luna was indeed also curious about this urgent news " yes twilight please share your information with us"
"O-ok i was in your castle and i found somthing" the princesses immediately stiffed and glanced at eachother and booth thought the same thing: she did not what i think she found did she?
" I walked around the castle hallways and found a bookshelf with a particular big book in it so i thought i would take it i-in the name of science of Course! But then somthing strange happend! the bookshelf slid to the side and-STOP! Celestia and luna suddenly screamed,luna a little to loud beacuse she acidentaly used the royal caps lock. Twilight was shocked what had she Done wrong?.the princesses saw her reaction and calmed down.
Celestia sighed"we are sorry twilight it's just...we know what book you speak of and it was actually the real reason we orded our guards to take all the arctifacts from our old castle, you see many pony and adventure seekers like a certain daring do and many others have started to be more and more brave ". She sighed." that's why our old castle does not feel that safe anymore"
."but i don't understand? Why so much work and preparations for one book? What do you want to kept hidden from your subjects so bad?! She was desperate to know.
Celestia and luna looked at eachother and nodded then at twilight.Celestia had hoped this day never would come" twilight please take a seat and we shall the you about one of the most terrible and worst wars equestria ever had with one of the most brutal races we ever encounterd. We shall tell you about:THE WAR OF THE GRAUGS!

Celestia looked out of the window and sighed" one day for 2564 years ago four ponies had decided that they Should travel high up in the mountains of the griffin kingdom, They walked a dangerus path but they had good reasons. Two of them did it in the name of science,the other two did it for the thrill of the Hunt! Why would they walk a such dangerus path you ask? Becuase they have heard of a crater like formation of gigantic scale deep in the mountains, so cut off from the rest of the world that the animals and plantlife that lives there had evolved in a completely different way.
But the path there was very hard and dangerous and no pony had ever gotten there and back again alive. But the ponies was sure they could make it, they were the best at what they did and they had have worse expeditions than this. Or so they thought...
But the weather was terrible there was fog, rain, snow, hail and one or two landslides, but after two weeks of constant searching they found it: A giant tunnel through the craters wall and When they came to the other side they know that all their hard work had not been in vain.
What they saw was a gigantic forest that had been separated from the cold harch mountains, yes it was still cold here to but it was more like the autumm in equestria. They started to set up a camp, this would be their legacy yes it would be the legacy of Lucy storm mane!

Lucy had just waked up and had gone up on a hill to take a better look at this place. She saw that a giant forest was in the edges of the crater and stretched down towards the middle at some places, in the middle of everything was a giant lake and the water did not look as blue and clear as in equestria but more blackish and it looked deep and cold. And in the middle was a giant grassland with some strange creatures that she could not make out from here. Oh this is so exiting! New races and species to study and a new place to explore! Just at that moment her best friend and Co-worker jack stronghoof came back with some water he took from the river.
"Oh so sleeping Beauty is awake now huh? That's to bad that means i can't throw this water on you" he smiled as he Put the bucket down. Jack was a well build earth pony but that's probably beacuse he had worked on a applefarm most of his life, but When he was 18 years old and still had not gotten his cutie mark he thought he would try somthing else. And lucky him beacuse another pony in their little village also felt that her Destiny was not to sell flowers but somthing greater. So one day When Jack decided that he would leave his simple little village and go out and Discover the world. but the day he stod there with only a backpack and a map and waved goodbye to the crowd of ponies a mare suddenly ran out off the crowd with a backpack off her own and ran up to him. She Said that she would join him on his adventure, and at that moment Lucy and Jack started their adventures and realised that adventure and gaining knowledge was their talent.
Days turned to weeks and weeks to months and then years, Jack and Lucy worked as map writers and to name and write down any and all species they would find on the way. But this was their hardest challenge yet." Lucy? Jack Said a little worried" you ok there? Lucy Shaked her head" huh what did you say i kinda zomed out there you know thinking of all we acompliced" Jack smiled "heh yes i know and this will be our greatest discovery yet!" Suddenly they heard a roar in the distance-"ROOAARHH" Jack face hoofed" That is if the brothers don't KILL everything here first!" Lucy sighed" yes i know those two are annoying but without them we will probably not survive here." Yeah i know" he sighed " we Should probably go and see i they are ok" and so they started running towards the way they heard the sound come from. They did not belive what they saw: it was a creature probably as big as a alpha timberwolf but in flesh and bone and it was well armored on the front and over it's shoulders and it's head was that of a sabretoothed tiger but it's eyes was like somthing from hell, they were full of primal rage and hunger for blood!
They slowly backed up away from the beast that they now saw had bruises and were bleeding all over. jack noticed this" must be the work of-"DIE YA DEVIL BEAST!!" A heavely muscular Pegasi came flying down on him and stuck his sword deep inside of the beasts shoulder-RAAARH!" NOW BROTHER BEAT HIS ARSE! At that movement another pony came running this one a unicorn. The unicorn loaded a special build crossbow with an Green arrow and Shoot the beast while his brother was trying to hold it down-RRAAAUUuuuh THUMP! The beast fell to the ground and slowly stopped kicking" good shot there mate! The bigger one Said " heh yeah i know" SILVER SWORD AND DEADEYE WHAT IN CELESTIAS NAME DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING!! Jack was furius at the brothers" WHAT WERE YOU THINKING WE COULD HAVE DIED!? The brothers stopped thier celebration and looked at Jack" oh Jack please do you really we had been equestria's best hunters if we would kill the ones we where here to protect the first day?" Jack sighed" ok i let it go this time but next time can you atleast tell us When you are going to Hunt somthing dangerus and NOT do it onehundred metre away from the camp?
They had lifted back the creature with deadeye's magic and Put it down in the camp to examine it." So guys did you notice something different with this animal that is different from the animals you are used to hunting" Jack asked as he procceded to cut it up" nyae i would probably be that was looking smarter and more primal than equestria's beasts". Lucy looked a little closer at the animal and she was scared to find out what else they could find here.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------TWO WEEKS LATER--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Lucy in the skyyyye with diamonds" lucy happily sang to herself, the brothers was getting bored and so did Jack. They had wandered for two weeks and discovered new plants and animals every other day, this place was simply amazing! But now When they had Discovered almost everything it was time to head home and name the species and plants and get new maps ready and-ROOOOOOAAAARRHH!!
Everybody stopped dead in the tracks" well that does not sound like something we already killed dosen't it?" Silver blade smiled a little. Jack was scared shitless but also glad beacuse now he know there was more to discovered! They started to walk towards the sound and it sounded like one or more of the sabretoothed creatures ( that silver sword came up with the idea that we name them caragors) were fighting something else. Atlast they came to their destination and realised that they already been there before" hey look it's that water cave near the Wall ( of the crater that is )that we found last week" Jack was now curious" but why and what would they fight here it's just a cave that you can't even go down in beacuse it's cave system is filled with water"
Suddenly a bleeding and heavy wounded caragor limped out from the cave opening" heh i take Care of this one" deadeye armed his crossbow and took aim at the caragor. But just as he was about to Shoot it a low and deep growl came from the mouth off the cave, the caragor suddenly got panic and tried to crawl away. Deadeye was suprised by this he did not think anything could scare them but he was wrong beacuse what came next was something that scared them all.
Out off the water came a giant hulking thing around 10 feet hight with three claws and toes, long and what looked like incredible strong arms it had thick leathery skin with green colur and hardened skin on it's shoulders and back. Everyone was shocked and glad they were up on the forests edge and not outside of the cave. The creature ran out off the cave with incredible speed towards and before the caragor could do something about it, the thing grabbed it picked it up and smached it down with such force that it broke all the bones in it's body. Jack just then realised that he had not seen Any animals around this cave and now he understood that it was for a good reason.
Suddenly the creature started sniffing the air and started looking around" uuh guys? I think he smells us" Lucy whispered and slowly spread her wings if they had to run. "na take it easy girl me and silver here will take him down before you can say smörgåsbord" deadye whispered as he took aim at his head" hmm gonna need my special bolt for this" his horn started glowing and materialised a glowing magical bolt" say goodnight big boy" He pulled the trigger and the bolt flew right at the creatures head. The bolt met his head and...nothing happened" w-what? What the BLOODY hell!? That bolt is raw magic! It can punch thought dragon scales for buck sakes! Deadeye screamed
"Shh! Get down or he will hea- RAAAAAAWWW!!" It was to late now the creature know who shot him and even if it did not show any effect on him he was mad.
"RU-ATTACK!!" Jack and silver sword screamed at the same time. The brothers smiled, this would be one of their biggest trophies yet!
Deadeye shot two arrows at the monster but they just bounced off without any noticeable effect, so he cast away his crossbow and pulled out his secondary weapon: a shortsword of Green dragon scale it was more of his last stand or cutting tool but as this creature did not even react at his bolts he would have to take drastic methods.
Silver sword on the other hand was jumping away from the creatures claws and trying to score some hits of his own but the creature showed himself to be more Agile than he looked like" BLOODY hell! Just stand still" silver flow away from a hit and flew between his legs and flew up and landed on his back and decided that i sword in the neck would do the trick" goodnight you-OUUFH!" The creature had succseded to land a blow on him and had now Throw him on the ground.
"SILVER!" Deadeye could only watch as the monster picked him him up and decided that he would make a good meal" NO! GET AWAY FROM HIM!" Deadeye started sprinting towards the creature with his dagger in his magical grip he jumped and stabbed the monster in the hand)" ROOAR!" The monster looked shocked first that this little creature had hurted him but then, he got Angry and deadeye did not have any wings to get away with" RUN!" Silver sword screamed at his brother.
But it was to late the creature throwed silver straight in an a Wall and everyone clearly heard how something snapped" SILVER NOO!" Deadeye started to run towards his brother but he forgot about the hulking monster and exacly how close he was "AAHRG" deadeye screamed as the monster hit him hard enough to throw him all the was over to were his brother lay...and his crossbow or rather his last explosive bolt!
He loaded his crossbow and looked at his brother as the monster started walking against them to deliver the final blow. His brother had not been so lucky deadeye thought that he broke his leg but he was wrong he had broke his neck When he hit the rock and lay there with a shocked stare and a blank look" don't worry i see you soon big brother" he looked at the monster who was now 6 feet away and was raising his arm to deliver the final blow" and you to monster" he Said as he shoot it right in the chest.
BOOOOOOMMMMM!!!
Jack could not belive what he had just saw the brothers had fought bravely and thought that this was just going to be an regular hunting but it looked like they took a bigger bite than they could chew. Lucy and Jack slowly walked down to find out what was left. " goddammit why did you guys not just run?" Then suddenly somthing growled" w-what was that Jack?" Lucy shook as she Said this " no impossible it could not have sur- ROAAAR" a claw came out of the smoke and hit Lucys leg" AAAAHH" Lucy flew backed up a bit and looked at the smoke with horror. There from the smoke was the creature still alive! Bleeding all over and limping a little but other than that just really REALLY pissed! Jack and Lucy had learned what will happen if they stay and fight and even if they want to they don't have any weapons so they ran.
And ooh they ran beacuse you know having a giant pissed off monster right behind you is very good Motivation! Right?...right?... Sorry i was just trying to throw in an joke and you know...back to the story.
" cmon Lucy just a little more we are almost there!" Jack was running and Lucy with her injured leg was flying next to him" i-i don't know if i can make it!"
"Yes you can we are almost there!" And he was not not lying they had been close to the entrence to the crater before the fight had began. They ran and after a while they did not hear the sound of giant footstep's anymore. "I think we lost him" Jack Said between breaths, Lucy flew over the treetops to look and saw indeed that the beast had turned around" yes he is not following anymore i think we can take a break now"
They rested a little and bandaged up Lucys wound it was still bleeding but not so bad as he originally thought which was good beacuse he did not want other predatory animals to sniff them up and Hunt them down on their way home. Ahh: home good old equestria he could not wait to get home. But one thing at the time first they are gonna have to get down horrible mountains. Suddenly Lucy lay her hoof on him shoulder" don't worry we will get home, we have to! Who else is going to get to name all those things?" She smiled and patted on her saddlebags" heh you have right as allways Lucy now lets go"
THE PRESENT
Celestia sighed "little did they know what they had started, luna and i sent our troops there as soon as we heard of their story not only to capture one of these uniqe creatures but there had also started to coming in raports from our spyes in the griffin kingdom that many griffins and animals had been found dead or gone missing we suspected that our little ponies trip had something to do with this. We set up a meeting with the griffin king to ask him if he knew something about this but he could only tell us a legend. A legend of a fearsome creatures called: GRAUG
