Chapters No one understood her, nobody cared. All that was passed was rumors, but even those hushed tones were silenced. Everyone watched not with horror, but with curiosity and prejudice. This night was something special. Some called it an 'anniversary', others a great occasion for all. But to one, it was a living nightmare.
The night flushed with moonlight was given an eerie glow. The eyes of those in attendance flooded with the reflection. Even she wanted to know what was going on and why, but not a soul dared to speak or answer. The only subtle clue was the ominous feeling within everyone. What was the special occasion? Only one truly knew. She knew it in her gut...
An execution.
The first ever trial conceived in years, and thus resulting in a vile disgusting verdict. The bloodshed wouldn't be in war, not in hate, nor in age. This one was one of an evil deed being punished. But...
What was done?
Did any even know?
A passing glimpse through her eyes told you everything. She had power, strength, even dedication. So why did it end? Why would it be snuffed out? Surely this one of all people would be praised, maybe even worshiped. You could see it all in her eyes. The bright color showered you in hope, mirrored the very vibrant strength you knew to find within her.
The night went on.
Through this night the dark voices sang out in triumph. Nobody could even see a foot past, but all clearly heard. The still night barely rustled any leaves. With all of the horrible things passing through everyone, only one thought preceded the others. This thought looked to a day of sunshine, even where there was none. Looked at hope, when it was dashed. Looked to her, before any others. Only she could end the terrible never-ending night. She with the pearl eyes. Only she knew what to do. But every other looked at her with disgrace lining their pupils.
But she was fine. She was calm. She was hurt, yes. But this was no time to show it. She knew this, and kept it all inside. All the others could do as they wished. She would prevail in the end. An execution was to take place? Alright, but it wouldn't be hers. The light shone in her like life. The wind blew in and refreshed her skin, slightly moving her coat. She took in a breath...
...But it was her last...
The night raised no alarm. No scream was heard. Even all the gathered attendees weren't aghast. Instead laden with a new refreshed feeling. They hoped she was gone. They wanted it all to be over. No one could even imagine what she did. No one even knew an execution was possible in such peaceful lands...
Peaceful... As though it were. There was no hope in these lands. What they called peaceful, she thought was uneventful. What they thought was a good day, she thought of pain and tyranny. When the others liked the judgement, she thought otherwise. She would've saved them all. She could've saved them... But that's another hope dashed... Another nail driven in to the box. All could've been fine. It could've been better. IT could've been better. IT. What defined it? The nation? The world, including the lands of all of Equestria? Not even close. It affected everything and everyone. The darkness devoured all. It even penetrated their eyes. You could see it. The corruption in all of them. So easy it was to point out. Too bad only she knew... And now she was gone. It became still again.
Everyone left. Back to their homes. Back to their cells... There wasn't home. It was all a nightmare. Just as it was back then. Only instead of an obvious ruler like the Princesses, there was an unknown force dictating everything. So there they went. Like sheep to a slaughter, except one. The one lying still in the grass. Only she remained.

Patience friends. All will be answered soon enough...
Starlight woke with a startle.
"What is going on out there?!" She said aloud to no one in particular. She pondered the feeling she got when first waking up. Curious as it was, she couldn't remembered the dream. It was a hard one to think about. She wasn't sure she wanted to remember it. But even as it was, she needed to think ahead to the day.
With a sigh she stumbled out of bed and let her hooves hit the ground softly with a patter. In the lonely house it echoed terribly. The light from the sun shone brilliantly through the window, but she cursed it. Why can't it be night all the time? Oh well. It'll have to do. She slowly peered through her eyes at her surrounding room. A bookshelf lay in the farthest side next to the door out. The window lay on the side of the bed. It was a simple modest home, but it was home to her. Outside the door chirped many birds. They graced the day with their singing, but oh did it annoy Starlight. She could think of terrible things to do to those birds. And the kids. They always played so noisily outside her house. One even had the audacity to bring out a horn and start playing it!
Such annoyances wouldn't do.
"Quiet out there!" Starlight yelled out, but to no avail. She slowed her eye movement as something caught her attention...
Was she being watched?! Ugh! Why can't she be left alone... They always disliked her in this town. They never talked and got to understand her. Not like she wanted them to talk to her anyways. They were always so prude and snide. Not like back home... She missed it. She missed it dearly. The trees would bloom and show brilliant colors and she would love watching everything as it turned to night. Night always caused a different world altogether to come out. She even got her name from that thought. Her parents understood her. Her home understood her. She wondered why she ever left. Scientific research could've been done back home. I just had to come here didn't I? Again another thing she wanted to make different. But oh well. Starlight glanced over her collection of books, Starswirl's Theories, The Constellations, Physics of Space, nothing grabbed her attention. It was another place. But she didn't wanted to go. She decided a visit to the library would be in order. Perhaps something there could catch her eye. Besides, Twilight always seemed at least tolerable if you got past the bookworm side of her. Can that be helped? Hmm...
"Maybe I should pay her a visit..." Starlight thought with a grin. Oh today just might be fun after all. She'd just have to show up to the library. All the entertainment always happened there anyways. Besides Spike and the other supposed 'Elements', Twilight was just a unicorn. She wasn't anything special. Even with wings, it failed to show her anything special. Just a mare. Now if only that were true...
Starlight reminded herself that everyday. That no matter what, nobody was special. It was not okay to stand out. That's why she regarded her lack of a cutie mark as a blessing. She knew what she wanted to do. Nothing had to tell her that. No one had to tell her that. She was fine just as she was, after breakfast of course... Man she sure was hungry. A detour to the bakery wouldn't hurt... Well maybe if Pinkie was there then it might hurt a lot. She was just so obnoxious! But the issue couldn't be helped, she was hungry. Time to leave.
Finally at Sugarcube Corner, Starlight went for what she liked most, lemon bars. Man they were good when in season. Pinkie could be quite annoying, but it was worth the lemon bars. And thank goodness she wasn't there. That made the food that much more delightful.
"Heh... I remember when I first walked into town. Couldn't walk in two paces without Pinkie wondering everything about you."
Starlight actually smiled. The thought may not have been a good one but it was actually meant well. No matter the annoyance that pink pony caused, she always tried her best to make you welcome. Sigh This is so weird... Where is she? Starlight may not have cared, but she did wonder. It wasn't like Pinkie to not be at the bakery this early in the morning. Maybe she was at Twilight's? Well I'll bump into her eventually. A voice broke her train of thought.
"You going to the Town Hall today?" Mr. Cake asked politely. He was a well enough stallion. Had a great shop, wonderful family, close friends. Everything he needed one would think. The orange earth pony stood as she was drawn back from her thoughts.
"Town Hall? What for?" She curiously wondered.
"Why the meeting of course. Everyone's going to see the Princesses!"
"They're in town?!" Oh great...
"Yep! You wouldn't happen to be going would ya?"
"Well I did have plans." Why did he care?
"I'm sure Pinkie would be there. You two did seem to make friends last I saw." Starlight bit her tongue at coming back with a retort. Guess it's to the Town Hall then. I'm sure that the library, better yet all the stores, are closed later to go. Maybe she'll run into someone worth it anyways. With a nod she left Mr. Cake to close shop.
Starlight felt slightly awkward, trying to move past the gathered ponies at the center of town. She couldn't figure out what was going to happen, but she had a feeling she wouldn't like it. The princesses coming to town normally meant something very good or very bad. She couldn't shake the feeling that it was the latter. But onward she trudged to see what the commotion was. If the faces of the others was any indicator, this visit was just as surprising to them. Why come to Ponyville right now? It made no sense...
And then the world began to spin. Starlight gasped for air but couldn't find any. She tried to walk but her legs wouldn't budge. Everything screamed at her to run, to get away, but to no avail. She couldn't. She simply was too late. The spell rushed over everyone and finally lulled them all to sleep.
After waking, her mouth felt like a desert. She tried to gather spit, but with no success. She felt as though she ran forever, her legs feeling worn and exhausted. She was just as tired. With effort she opened her eyes to find where she was. Light penetrated her eyes, stinging them tremendously. She blinked to try and wash them out, even moving to her other side carefully to adjust for the light. Once again she opened her eyes, just to have more light flood in. With a sigh, she gave in. Her ears twitched. Was someone talking? Maybe she could just...
"AHHH!"
Starlight flattened her ears at the sudden outburst. What was with the scream? What was wrong? With one more surge, she picked herself up and opened her eyes slowly. Light filtered in coming into a blinding light, but she pressed on. She walked toward where the sound came from. She bumped straight into another pony. Was this the one that screamed? Starlight opened her mouth to talk, but was once more cut off by a bloody scream. This one stopped abruptly. Starlight actually feared what could happen. She stood and waited for her eyes to adjust. Once it was finally clear enough she took in her surrounding. Large walls surrounded them, stone colored, earthy walls that could probably take a beating. She looked up to find a pair of gleaming eyes bearing down on her.
"Uhh..." Starlight stammered.
"Well hello Ms... what is your name?" The stallion questioned.
"Starlight... Where are we?" She implored.
"All will be seen in due time. For now you might want to take care of your eyes."
"Wha..." But he was gone in a puff of smoke. What was going on? Was she drugged? How was that possible? She decided to ask another pony. She walked over to another stallion, who simply turned to a cloud of smoke. Okay she was really getting scared. She walked over to a mare on her right, who followed suit with the stallions. This was just getting weird. Out of nowhere though, a voice rose up.
"...Starlight..."
After the voice, Starlight felt a tug on her body.
"Starlight... up..."
As though on cue, the ground dropped out from below her. She couldn't move, just stay the course of the invisible force. As she ascended, a light began to filter in. This one as blinding as when she first opened her eyes. It flooded in making her shut her view. The feeling in her body started fading. Suddenly she started to drift off...
She came to. As though it were all a dream. Looking around she saw she was back in her bedroom. Was she having dreams inside of each other? She shook her head. That couldn't be. It just couldn't. Now she wanted answers that she was gonna get one way or the other. The question was... from who? She walked out her door to find that Ponyville didn't look the same at all. It looked... older. What WAS going on here? How long was she out? Starlight ran back inside and looked into a handheld mirror she kept in a nightstand by her bed. She... Oh no... She wasn't herself...
This was bad... This was very VERY bad! Who was this pony looking at herself in the mirror? It sure wasn't Starlight that was certain. There was something in the eyes... She couldn't pinpoint what it was... They glowed a certain way. It wasn't actual light... but something about them just was really powerful. Starlight dropped the mirror onto the floor. She couldn't be this mare... Or could she? Maybe someone else would know who this mare was. Maybe they could tell her.
She slowly peered outside to see if anyone was there. As she looked she spotted a mare in a hood walking into town. Perfect. Starlight bounded out to talk to the mare but jumped as she realized who it was.
"Princess Luna?!" Starlight practically screamed out.
"Princess? Thou must have me mistaken... I am no princess." Luna replied.
"But... You... And... Do you know who I am?" Starlight jumped straight to the question.
"Actually no... Apologies. Might thou have met me?"
"I have... Once..." Starlight sighed once more at the discontent. If Luna wasn't princess... Who was? The thought hit her. "Who rules these lands?"
"We have no ruler... Are you ill?"
"I might think so..." Starlight mumbled. "Where is the nearest library?" Surely some history would help get some answers.
"Library? Books have been banned for many a century. Come with me. Let's see a doctor..." Luna helped the young Starlight to the nearest hospital. Once inside she saw that there was no documentation... Sure enough Luna was right. No written words. No papers. No anything! Starlight really was confused now, but freaking out wasn't an option. Maybe the doctor could help explain things. But the doctor wasn't one she recognized.
"May I ask your name Miss?" The doctor inquired.
"I was hoping you might know..." She despondently answered. She was now really saddened. Maybe no one knows who she is.
"Well we'd like to have a look to make sure you're okay. Would you be okay with staying the night?"
Starlight sighed in response. She had no other choice. "Alright, I suppose." And with that the doctor led her into the hall to the right. It was a long hallway leading into many others that each had many corridors. The doctor finally stopped at one, and showed her in. It had a bed of course. One in the center of the room. Other than that it had no other equipment. Strange... What would they use to help, even if she did have a problem? Magic? The doctor wasn't even a unicorn or zebra. Now she suddenly began to feel dizzy... This was wrong. This wasn't a hospital she knew of. This felt more like a prison.
"Umm, actually I'd like to go home." Starlight spoke to the doctor. The doctor merely looked her over.
"Are you sure Miss? We might be able to send someone with you just in case..."
"They'll be alright. I'll be fine. No need." Starlight insisted.
"Maybe I could be of assistance?" Luna interjected. "I could walk this one home."
"That will be fine Luna. You've helped enough as is."
"Nonsense, I'm sure she could help you Miss. Especially her being a unicorn." Unicorn? Wait Luna... Luna was an Alicorn right? I'm so confused... Starlight couldn't do anything about it. She needed help from someone. Maybe Luna really could help her. Again they stepped into the night. As the streets were barren and cold, so where the ponies that walked them. What was so wrong with everything? What was really happening? Could she have gone to another time? What if...
But she was cut off by Luna. "Where is thine house?"
"What do you mean? I walked out it to..." Where is her house... Tell me this can't be happening.
"I am just as confused... It was here earlier." It was. But it's gone. "Should we just go to my house Miss?"
"I guess I really have no other choice..." Starlight replied somberly. Everything was just going wrong. So the duo walked on in the direction out of town.
So onward the two walked in silence. No questions, no answers, no problems. The only thing running through their minds were separate thought of might be happening. Both actually keeping it to themselves however. Neither wanting to share their thoughts. However a new thought was brought to the mix. Where did Luna reside? Starlight wandered this out of the blue but it was a good question. If not the castle in Canterlot, or the moon..., then where? It was finally she realized the surroundings. She was led into the Everfree Forest. But why? Starlight never saw anyone besides Zecora or Fluttershy come inside. And only Fluttershy on rare occasions. This was strange...
But that was more strange. Was she being followed? She caught a glimmer of something pass behind a tree. Even in this place she was still being watched?! Are you serious! Great. Just grand. Starlight decided better than to get Luna's attention however. She never was a trusting pony, and probably wouldn't even believe Starlight anyways.
"Wait..." Oh so she caught it to? Luna scanned around the tree looking for the pony in question. Nothing moved... "Could it be?" Could what be? She swore Luna heard that thought. "The pony seems to be following us..." Totally a mind reader. Knew it! The victory didn't last long.
"So you finally found me out hmm?" The strange voice called out.
"Why must thou follow us?"
"Simply put, you have something, or someone, valuable in tow."
Luna looked at Starlight. "What do they mean?"
"As if I know!"
"You two will have plenty of time once you're tied up." The voice croaked. This pony sure should know something, maybe he'll talk...
"How about you tell me why I'm so important?" Inquired Starlight. "I don't even know why you'd want me."
"Oh it's not him that wants you." Called out another shadow. Great, more. "You're eyes are what we're after."
"My eyes? What for?" Cried out Starlight. She still couldn't figure it all out... That was a shame. More blood would be spilled this night. How many until we have the final outcome. First her, now Starlight. And Starlight didn't even come close. Fate must have other plans. Out from the shadows glowed several lights that closed in on Starlight. When she looked to Luna for help... Luna vanished. More smoke... When can I see the magician behind it all? The thought was her last. Snap! Several bolts of lightning shot out from the lights. No one would even recognize the pony lying now dead. The only indication would be her pearl eyes...
Pearl eyes...
And once again we come to the fact. Our heroine will have to move fast to figure it all out. Whether they make it... Is another thing. Somehow, these eyes are the key. They carry weight. They shine bright hope when it is lost. They find the strength when broken. The are, in all sense, the one indication of a true destined heroine. Where she is next would be the better question wouldn't it be? Time to find her. Fate will have it's way. No matter what opposes. And this will be one fight, that all will remember.
"Waaaa!" Mewed the newborn. The look upon the faces of the parents weren't one of happiness... It was aghast horror.
"Why?! Why her!" The mother wailed. She couldn't see why it had to be her foal. Her and her husband had tried many times for a foal of their own and when they get one it's... this? Why?
"I'm sorry..." The doctor simply stated, walking right out the doorway without another word. The father wasn't as calm as he seemed outwardly. He tried to be strong for her, for his dear wife, but there's nothing he could do. The foal he would come to raise, he would only raise for a little while. This sick tragedy just frustrated him. He knew it was only a matter of time, but he'll cheat death. He'll seclude the foal. No one will ever know! It was perfect. He was sure she'd agree...
"I won't let this happen." The gruff voice spoke out. "She won't be just another sacrifice. She will be the difference. She'll be the one to change things."
"She will be... but not through her own actions... You know this Cloudstreak. It's nothing we can change... Pearl eyes..." His wife soothed her crying. "At least she'll change the world right? Right...?"
It was then she realized the foal hadn't cried out for a while. Surely with the commotion... But it was as she thought. The poor thing had slipped into the ethereal abyss. One more. One more soul. Another life lived. Yet another time. Cloudstreak rushed out the doorway. He brushed off all the nurses and doctors. Finally at full gallop he burst out and flew up. Up until his breathing simply became hard and unmanageable. It continued this way. He finally stalled... and lost consciousness as he fell back down to the waiting earth below. Many rushed to try and save him but there was nothing they could do. He had fallen from too far and actually went to meet his daughter after all. His wife rushed out to try and help but collapsed at the sight of him. She didn't want it to be true, but he was gone. She had nothing... She felt nothing. She bitterly cried at the fate that had befallen her foal and husband. She wished it wasn't so. She wished that there was perhaps someway he'd survived, but she knew it was impossible. A chill crossed over her, then faded. Death's gaze had seen it all. The dark enveloped her thoughts. She could still see his face, smiling...
Sunbeam looked out the window of the castle. It had been years since the incident. It caused her to defy all. It caused her to do as she did. She was the first killer in all of Equestria. She decided that looking through the bars of the prison would be better than any day out where she would do it again. She only killed those who had no children. Such a fate that had crossed her, had crossed her victims. She would end their suffering. She didn't enjoy the killings. She simply did them. She was not careful, she had no reason to be. She didn't need to keep it up. Only thought she had was to help the others who had gone through what she had.
No one understood her, nobody cared. All that was passed was rumors, but even those hushed tones were silenced. Everyone watched not with horror, but with curiosity and prejudice. This night was something special. Some called it an 'anniversary', others a great occasion for all. But to one, it was a living nightmare.
The same day of the year. The same day as when her foal died... would be her execution. She wasn't scared. She faced it with power and with the knowledge that she did what she must. She did what she needed. What she thought was right. She took her final breath, and was no more.
The only onlooker left after everyone left was Fate himself. He came to claim the soul, and hopefully the eyes... But as again, they where Sunbeam's own orange eyes. Frustrated but patient the great reaper brought down and ended the life. The eyes would come about at some point.
Author's Note
And we finally have the name and story. It's time to find the eyes.
This was the story. It always happened. It always occurred, it never failed. Once you had the eyes, your fate was sealed. But Starlight went to another time. Involuntarily of course. She did what she could. Starlight did what she knew to do... And now that was wrong. Luna may have came to power, but that didn't explain things well enough. Why was she chosen to go back? Who was in the shadows? All the questions swarmed her now. And as for being reborn in her own body, a "miracle." Now she had to change her world. She had to do what she could for herself. Fate had no choice in the matter. A single breath was stolen. It was all it took. Starlight now must do what she can with what she knows now. The gift will finally not be in vain.
Finally waking up in the bed, Starlight yawned out. Not much seemed to made clear to the doctors who, simply put, were baffled. A pony basically dead, coming back? It was unheard of even to magic. But here Starlight stood. Or well laid. Stand being hypothetical of course. And to top it all off, Starlight of course had eyes not her own. They weren't pearl like normally a chosen one had. She had completely midnight blue eyes, with the added glow. She had eyes unlike her own in so many ways yet so simply deviated from the original that many just thought she was just stronger, with a new added sense of life. Even as true as that was, she still had her destiny to accomplish. She didn't face the great reaper himself in a trial of justice to be just Starlight. She had to find out who was killing off the pearl eyes. She had to find the next chosen one, and save them. This curse would be no-more.
"Starlight, how is this possible?" The doctor flat out asked. Without a word, Starlight walked out and headed home. She was tired. She longed for sleep that would take her away from the current problems.Longed for comfort, solitude, and her own thoughts and dreams. Sadly, however, she wouldn't find it. Luna herself decided amongst the matter to visit Starlight.
"Hello Starlight. Are you well?" The alicorn asked tenderly. Her only mustered strength allowed her but a moan. "I guess that means not so... I was wishing to speak to you, if that is alright." Sigh so much for a good night's sleep. "I assume you are silent because you are curious. I shall continue." Luna said nevertheless. It was hard to tell people that you didn't want their company, when they were royalty. Especially since Luna probably remembered her from back when.
"I wanted to thank you. If it was not for you that night-" That night... "-I wouldn't be the ruler I am today. I'm not sure how you accomplished it, but you did. I thank you greatly for this. I just want you to know that I personally watched over the doctors as they brought you to the hospital. I watched you slumber." Totally not creepy Luna. I was amazed and stunned when you were alive after the events that occurred. You were out for quite some time. I hoped you would recover quickly, as there was much we needed to talk about." Uh-oh...
The night was full of questions and answers, debate and reality. Luna knew nothing of the mare sitting in front of her until now, even as she had been careful to keep her well and safe. One problem did arrive when she had to keep Starlight secret. How would everyone react with two Starlights? Exactly. So the world only knew the young, immature one first. However now that certain events had transpired, let's see the results.
Luna secretly discovered many new tombs and tomes meant to break time itself. None of which were exactly as she needed. If Starlight was truly going to be able to travel time, she couldn't do it alone. She needed Luna, and Luna needed her. Time fabric was delicate and Luna knew her sister would not approve. But this was a matter of great importance and had to be carried out anyway. Luna knew deep down that Celestia would understand eventually. She searched every rumor, every whisper, looked at every detail, every stone. She eventually came across something important however. It was exactly what she needed. But it required a lot of magic to accomplish, even for an alicorn. She wouldn't like it, but she would have only one chance. She needed it to be the perfect plan.
"Celestia!" Luna begged.
"No way Luna. There's too much about time you don't know. Too many variables. What if it doesn't work?"
"But it did! I'm here because of it. It was what happened. It had to happen! You don't understand the importance!" Luna cried.
"We'd still need to be exact. There's just too much at stake." Celestia calmly replied. "I know the importance, dear sister. But it simply would require all the variables to be too exact for it to work."
"But..." Luna sighed. "Then I'll plan it out accordingly."
"Stubborn as ever Luna..." Celestia mumbled as Luna ran off. "She sure knows it too..."
It must be perfect. I have one chance. Luna ran into her bedchambers, alerting her Lunar guard on patrol.
"Princess, are you alright?" The bat pony questioned her.
"Yes of course. In fact, why don't you go and fetch me something to eat here. It'll be a long night..." Luna stated. Sunned, he flew over to the kitchen as quick as possible. Meanwhile, Luna started her studying into the tomes she acquired. Shortly after opening the first one however, the bat pony returned with a snack for the princess. Blandly, she levitated the snack over and took a bite. Mmm... Sweet lily sandwich. How'd he know? She looked over to catch him wink at her and walk out the door. Confused, she shook her head to try and focus back at the task at hand. She had time to control.
Celestia came into Luna's bedchamber later that afternoon to a sleeping form in her bed. Smiling to herself, she simply walked back out to give her more time. The day wasn't over yet, so she can sleep.
The great reaper sighed out. Even more blood. Not one single time could they fight using their power. He gave it graciously, but each one in turn let it waste. He was disgusted in them. Why did she have them? Why did they eyes go to her? They were a strange magic indeed. Even Fate itself had no control. But time to release the...
The eyes were Starlight's once more. No longer the pearl but back to the midnight blue. Her coat was cold but it still ruffled in the wind. Poor thing... Never stood a chance. Oh well. With a great heave the tie of life severed. It would be a long journey. The hourglass turned, and faded out of existence. Another day, another soul.
Starlight looked on into the great field in disbelief. Was she... No. Could it be? It can't be... Is it? She... died... And now she watched as her memories floated on both sides. Each one flying past, but invoking powerful emotions. Each memory their own. She walked through the field of memories. One by one they came, and one by one they passed. Visions of her parents, of her life in Ponyville, of the new night and dreams she had. For some reason though, she found out something interesting... Her eyes were her own in her memories. But she could've sworn... Enough. This wasn't the time. This was time to reflect not ponder. This was when she could relive the good and bad. See her life as it was. It was good for all it was worth. It wasn't until lately she actually had problems. Oh well, she'll watch the time pass by.
"Don't rest yet." A voice chimed. This voice was as melodic and soothing as her mother's. She felt relaxed in it. But why can't she rest? "You can rest later young one. For now watch time for it will pass by once. See the issues as it comes and the ways you lived. I'm sending you back, but with new memories." Then it flooded into the visions. Each time she died. Even this time. But with pearl eyes. Pearl eyes. The sign of the gift given to those who shall change the world. She failed in that aspect didn't she? "You never failed. In that life you showed Luna her strength. It was because of you she got her determination to rule with her sister." I... I caused that? But how? "In due time. For now, go back the way you came." Starlight did as instructed, and was brought to the realm of the living once again. But for this time, she would be reborn and again be the pony she never thought she would be. She'll be someone new. Reborn once again to be some catalyst to a great event. The next in line to the new world. She didn't wait in line. She walked right by. She cared little. She was important. And for once she would be the greatest person she could be.
