//-------------------------------------------------------// The Journal and Keepings of Fluro the pegasus. -by Mare-ionette- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter One //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter One My green unshaved fetlocks trail a few smidgeameters past the back of my hooves as I walk the rocky trail to school. Mare-ionette, whom I call Neon for her brightly dyed mane, trots a few hooves behind me. She speaks up as we walk. "Did you finish the Japoneighse assignment?" She asked, absent mindedly. "Yes. I stayed up late on it because I forgot my dictionary at school and had to borrow one from Ms. Minty." I answer. Ms. Minty is Neon's aunt, and is a bit not right in the head. I think she must suffer from major PTSD. Neon and Autumn just think was dropped on the head. No matter the theory, it didn't change the fact that speaking with her was terrifying. She might scream and slam the door at any point throughout the conversation. She only opens her door a crack, though, like she's hiding hell behind it and if anyone sees they'll die instantly. "Oh. Did you actually manage to get it from her?" She asked, suddenly in the conversation. I know my theory must be flawed because there's something wrong with Neon, too, and PTSD doesn't run genetically. Earlier she had just been murmuring answers. Not really there. Maybe something unrelated to her aunt's mental illness is inside Neon. I don't plan on asking. "She slid it under the door." That ends the conversation for a moment, because no one wants to talk about Ms. Minty for too long. We arrive at the brick building and I pull open the wooden door with the handle between my teeth. Neon enters and holds the door, and I walk through. She absent-mindedly walks away from the door and it smacks me on the rump.
