A surprising guest on Nightmare Night
"How long, Twilight? I stand like this for 20 minutes now."
"Just a little longer, Spike. I'm nearly done with your costume for Nightmare Night." Twilight continues the costume, when she finally finished it. "Done!"
Spike walks to the mirror. "Uhm, Twilight? I definitly not looking like a female version of me." He looks back to her. "Spike, you silly dragon. I need to use the spell on you."
Twilight's horn start to glow, before she shoots a blue burst to Spike. Spike gasps in surprise, before looking back into the mirror. "Wooow!"
Instead of Spike, there standing now a female version of him. "Better, Spike?"
"Better? I love it!"

Twilight and her friends decided to wear the same costumes as last Nightmare Night. As usual, fillies and colts, running trough the town, knocking on doors and singing Nightmare Night songs. And of course the candy.
"Haha, I'm gonna scare everypony in town today!" Applejack looks to Rainbow, chuckling a little. "Yeah, sure, if ya could scare me! But first we gonna meet Princess Luna, rememba'?"
"Why again, Twilight, darling?" Twilight looks back to her friends. "She wanted to talk with us a little. Nothing serious. There is enough time to scare ponies and get candy."
"YIPPIEH!" Pinkie Pie jumps happily and land on Fluttershy, who gasps in surprise. "Watch out, Pinkie ... i-if you don't mind."
The friends walking a bit longer, before they see her standing near the city hall. "Hello Princess Luna."
"Hello", she answers emotionless. Twilight looks surprised. "Princess? I something wrong? Is something happened?!"
"Don't worry, Princess Sparkle, nothing happened. I'm just ..." Twilight notice, that Luna stares on one point the whole time during the conversation. When Twilight follows her view, she sees a mare, standing alone. "Who is she?"
"I have no idea. But ... my sense told me to watch out about her." Twilight still looks to the dark blue mare. Her mane and tail are purple, her eye color red. "She seems not to be dangerous, Luna. You are sure?"
"I have no idea." Twilight and her friends start walking to the mare. "Then we find out, how much dangerous she is."
The mare looks more worried, when she saw 6 ponies walking to her. To her bad luck, it's the elements of harmony. Oh no ... She tries to look as happy as possible. "Heya, i-is something wrong?"
"Princess Luna is worried, you could be dangerous, so we check, if there is something true behind this."
"Dangerous? Nonono, I'm not dangerous at all. Just a new mare in town with, uhh , no friends yet." Pinkie push the mare down on the ground, grinning happily. "Oh! Oh! Oh! What's your name?! We can make a super new pony on Nightmare Night party! This is going to be sooooo FUN!"
"Name? I, uhh ... Night Shimmer." Rarity looks to her. "What a lovely name you have."
"No friends, huh?! Why not hang out with us then, Night?" Rainbow hovers over her and Pinkie, who still stands over Night. "I-I am ... sure."
They really have no idea, who I am ... I tought, after the Canterlot Wedding Incident, they learned more about us ... better for me.
Night is following the elements of harmony, or better, her 6 new friends. "Awwwwww, no pranks?"
"Sorry, Rainbow, but we want to show our new guest Ponyville, right?" Rainbow Dash looks annoyed. "We don't need to be all here for her, right?"
"Rainbow, why are you so obsessed with pranks, darling? The last time, you hit Luna's flank with a pumpkin. Hard." Rainbow gulps, she totally forgot that. "Right ... it took me 2 days to eat myself out of her magical big pumpkin ... no fun, believe me!"
They all continue to walk, Twilight showing the different shops and what they are selling for Night Shimmer. "How like you Ponyville so far, Night?"
"It's amazing and lovely here. Thanks for taking the time for a pony to show around. I'm glad you accepted me so fast, even when I'm ne-" But she got cutted of mid-sentence, when Luna lands in front of her, glaring to the mare. "I think, I prefer *I'm glad, you accepted me so fast, even when I'm a changeling*"
"Wha-?!" Night shivers, backing away, from the night goddes. "H-How did you ...?"
"My sense told me." The elements just standing there, looking in shock from what they just heared. Night Shimmer is a changeling. Luna's horn start to glow, ready to attack. "Stop."
Fluttershy walks in front of Night, spreading her wings, to show, she is going to protect her. Luna looks surprised. "Since when do you protect a changeling, Miss Fluttershy?"
"S-She could attacked us a-all the time. But she seems to be happy, no harm done." Luna chuckles a little. "Of course not, having 6 ponies, she can feed off ..."
"No. During the wedding, I had a strange feeling, getting sick from losing all the love. But all the time, she was here, I didn't feel the same." Night passes Fluttershy, standing directly in front of Luna. "I changed my life. I'm not Chrysalis slave anymore. I leaved the hive to start a new life. I still feed love, I need it to live, but I only take so much, that nopony got real harm. I want to live happily, I want friends, no shivering in cold caves anymore. I don't even want to change in my true form.
Don't banish me, princess." She looks up to her, tears in her face. Fluttershy put a wing around her back, giving her comfort. Luna raises an eyebrow. "Really?"
"Yes. I will not harming anypony, promised." Luna looks to the other 5 elements. They looking back, still thinking what to do, until Twilight finally break the silence. "If that, what she said is true, we should let her live here. She can live with me and Spike in my castle-library here.
We also can learn more about Changelings then. I will watch her, to get sure, she keep her promise." Luna looks back to Night, before she summons paper and quill and write down a message, before she send it away magically. "Alright then. If she says, you can stay, then you can stay. Twilight, inform me and Celestia everday."
"I will."
"Good. I guess, let's enjoy Nightmare Night now then." She smirks, before changing her body, looking like Nightmare Moon now. "Thank you all. It means really a lot to me, that you accept me."
"No problem." They smile back to her.
This is the best night ever ...
And she keeped her promise until she died in age, happily to had a happy life for a long time with her best friends. And nopony got ever harmed from her love feeding, some even let her feeding, to help her. Twilight accepted her promise, after 5 months of watching, that she really keeped the promise.
