A red-eyed Changeling by the simple name of Nymph is slammed into a wall when the blast forces every other Changeling out of Canterlot. Soon after, he is found and captured by a cleanup group of Royal Guards. Equestrian laws demand that they spare him, but he is incapable of getting back to the hive.

He has no choice but to reside in a town with them or to make it on his own.
