Heroes of Lexun
Gone
Load Full StoryI am leaving.
Someone was coming for me. He's going to take me. Far away from my home. Because he doesn't care about me. He just wants me to suffer.
The night was going good. Only four chapters away from getting to the end of the best book ever, I was seriously hyped up about becoming an official "Arrowtonee". The book was so golden I was thinking about having it animated one day. But then somepony interrupted my thoughts by knocking on the door.
I listened in. We weren't expecting any visitors.
My mother asked who it was and the guy sounded really nice saying he was going around taking donations for finding a cure for Pensis. The decease just started up two months ago. It's incurable but nopony has dies of it yet.
But as soon as she opened the door, I heard death. I felt it creep up the walls, up my spine, and into my heart. My mother was dead.
I heard the stallion storm up the wooden steps and check some doors. Who was this stallion? Who or what was he looking for? I was scared, very scared. I sure hoped he wasn't looking for me.
I crept out of bed quietly and went to lock my door as softly as I could. It was a blessing to have carpet floors in my bedroom.
But he heard it. I heard the click of the lock, and my heart paused as he screamed, "HEY!!!"
I knew what I had to do. I quickly and quietly said goodbye to my Boult Hoof poster and rushed to my window. The stallion's efforts to break down my door became greater and greater. I opened the window and as I was crawling out, I realized I didn't have anything to defend with. But I had absolutely had no time to waste. The stallion kept trying to run into my door and I figured he was going to succeed at his goal sooner or later. I knew I was going to get hurt if I let go of the ledge.
Taking a deep breath, I braced myself for the pain and let go. My butt hit the ground like a truck falling out of the sky. Boy, did it hurt. I could feel the pain in my liver! But somepony was waiting for me down there. And she wasted not time in putting a bag over my head and knocking me out.
Then I fell into a dream. It would have been about getting popsicles to the landlord before Airball season starts, but that feeling of death was still in me.
I saw the door open. I saw the blade. I saw the blood. I saw the fall. I saw that he didn't care.
There was nothing I could have done to save my mother. Who could do such a heartless act anyway? What did she do? If I'm the one he's after, he should have just came after me. Bitch.
I've always wanted to fall into the hands of adventure and excitement, but this was just all wrong. This was not how I wanted it to start. But maybe this was how it was supposed to start.
