The New Year's Gala

It was a beautiful night. The stars were blinking lively and their shine was brilliant. It was misty but still beautiful. Lexi sighed as she looked through the window...

„This night will be special...” she said to herself as she was watching the night sky. She went to the mirror. She had to brush her hair. After all, she had to go to the New Year's Gala! It is one of the biggest events of the year in Equestria! Lexi started levitating the hairbrush. „Should I get some ponytails?”

She realised that her hair looks awesome so she just brushed it. She went to the wardrobe. „Too short. Too long (I might fall running!).Too pink! Too black!...” She said as she looked through her dresses. ”THIS IS IT!!!” she gasped as she saw the perfect dress. The dress was pink, with flowers and a cute belt (and some math symbols attached in places). She put it on her. „I look perfect. I should see if Dee is ready.” she said as she walked out to Dee's room.

Somepony started to panic. „WHERE IN EQUESTRIA IS MY HOOF POLISH?!” Dee said as she was desperately flying in her room. Her room was a mess. Her braid was nicely done and she had some bows in her braid. The pink dress decorated with stars was on her bed. She was ready, but she just had to put some hoof polish on her hooves. After all, she must use her talent! However, she couldn't find her best hoof polish anywhere.

Lexi entered the room. „WHOA!!” she yelled as Dee passed over her head. „What is it, Dee?”

Dee showed Lexi her hooves. „Oh, I get it! Somepony is searching her hoof polish, isn't she?” Lexi smiled evil.„WHERE IS IT?” Dee angrily asked.

„Ahem, your braid?” Lexi started laughing as she watched Dee's hoof polish started pouring in the braid she had.

„Oh no, this is bad!!!” Dee said as she saw her purple braid become yellow.

„Stop worrying, I know a spell!” Lexi said as she tried her spell. The paint faded away and a big sparkly bow appeared on the bed! Dee gasped. It was the most beautiful bow she has ever seen! She put it in her hair and thanked Lexi.

„I owe you, Lex!”

Lexi painted her hooves using her magic cause she didn't have time. She really wanted to get to the Gala...

After Dee's hooves dried , Lexi and Dee started walking.

„I can't wait to get to the Gala! , Lexi said. Let's do a competition! Who gets first to the Gala gets a cookie!” Lexi and Dee started laughing.

„I have got a better idea. Can you teleport us both to the gala?”

”Good idea!!! Grab my hoof. 3, 2, 1, here we go!!!”

Lexi and Dee teleported to the Gala.

There was a big hall, covered in diamonds and decorated with all kinds of hearts, fireworks, rainbows, all made of paper. The front entrance was crowded with ponies and stallions. Lexi and Dee stood there watching. Their first gala? They could feel it was going to be amazing. Like something awesome would hit you.

*BUMP*

„Ouch!!! , Lexi said as she tried to get up. What is wro-”

„Sorry!!” said a stallion and teleported away.

„Who was he? Dee said. Oh, nevermind, you are going to tell me at the gala!”

Dee grabbed Lexi's hoof and started running. They go to the entrance. Dee paid for the tickets and quickly flew in. Lexi was following her. As tey entered, they both gasped. The hall was beautiful. It was like a castle. There was a restaurant at the first floor and a terrace with tables and chairs. It was all fancy.

At the second floor, there was a „Mistletoe Maze” where there were Mistletoes everywhere. If you managed to get to the end of the Maze, you and your partner will kiss and get some „Lucky Gift Baskets”. If you give up, the traps under you would „break” and you would slide to a „Chocolate Fantasy”, where there are chocolate fountains, cakes, and other sweets.

Dee was flying to a punch table.

„Great, now what?” said Lexi to herself.
