The grand galloping gala part 2View OnlineUnwantedThe grand galloping gala part 2Apple bumpkin looked up to see a brown stallion with a green mane. He smiled at her making her smile back. She blushed under his gaze realizing what a mess she was. Apple bumpkin stood up taking his outstretched hoof. She took in a deep breath realizing he smelled like cinnamon. "What is your name?" She asked trying to sound sophisticated. He smiled," my name is apple cinnamon. Might I ask what is your name?" "I'm apple bumpkin," apple bumpkin said her red and pink curls bouncing as she did a little curtsy. That made apple cinnamon smile even more. "Pardon me but I've never heard of another farming apple family in canteot that aren't related to the apples," she said. Apple cinnamon's expression turned dark. "My family would never allow it," he said looking far of like he didn't know she was there. "Sir?" Apple bumpkin said pulling on his hoof. He looked down on her smiling again. "Oh yes," apple cinnamon asked," I never answered your question. But we shouldn't dwell on that fact should we?" Apple bumpkin smiled but she looked at the clock realizing it was midnight. The gala ended at midnight and she couldn't be seen like this. Her parents would find out and pity her or do something worse. And if he offered to walk her home his reputation would be ruined because of her. "I gotta go!" She said worriedly jumping away from him and sliding under the hedges ignoring the painful pricks. She knew he called out to her but it was lost in the wind.
Into the everfreeView OnlineUnwantedInto the everfreeApple bumpkin woke up to the bright glare of the morning sun some of her mane covering her eyes. She looked at the mess of her fancy clothes and sighed picking them up and organizing. Her breath caught in her throat as she counted only three green slippers. Apple bumpkin remembered the story her mother used to tell her called Cinderella.(sorry if your offended I explained it but I can't assume everyone knows it) She bit her bottom lip as she looked at the slippers. She shrugged hoping apple cinnamon hadn't found it and pulled on her patched green bandana and walked out of her crude home. She knew she needed a way to earn bits and was incredibly good at making caramel apples. But she needed to grow the apples and bits to buy the caramel so she could make a living. She heard about the mysterious everfree and that things grew in there by themselves. She also knew that animals ate fruits and left the seeds. If she didn't find an apple tree she knew there was zap apples. She walked towards the everfree ready to get some apples.
Surgeroy of warView OnlineUnwantedSurgeroy of warApple bumpkin tightened the vines wrapped around her leg. She examined the tools in front of her smiling. She had tooken the items she needed and brought them in the cave so she could keep an eye on Ampfiba. She had cleaned the wound and whittled herself long clean sticks. She had boiled the water clean and made the sticks to use as braces. She had also used the vines to keep in the blood and straighten the leg. She knew night had fallen and no one would bother to check on her or really no one cared or knew she was there. She was fine here during the night. She started a small fire watching Ampfiba as she tended to it. Apple bumpkin continued to tend the fire as she heard sad singing sounds. She looked at the entrance to see a small brown rabbit with big wide blue eyes. It was the little gem and it had been attracted by the fire. She realized it was starving to death as she saw it's little ribs. It had tooken it's chances and come here for warmth and the possibility of food. Apple bumpkin tried to walk over to the rabbit but pain shot through her leg and she realized she would have to sew the veins and skin together. She whistled softly to the rabbit undoing her bandage carefully showing her she was hurt. Apple bumpkin took the branch needle and began to sew wincing in pain. Finally she re-wrapped her leg and put back on the braces. She walked out of the cave making the rabbit jump back in fear. Apple bumpkin picked up some grass and brought it back inside. She cooked it over the fire and when it was nice and brown she put the pieces into a basket and pushed it towards the rabbit. She whistled sweetly and the rabbit hopped over. The rabbit looked up at her with her big blue eyes before she knelt down and began eating. Apple bumpkin smiled deciding she would find the zap apples tomorrow when Ampfiba stirred.
The mimicker amorphous named sphinxView OnlineUnwantedThe mimicker amorphous named sphinxApple bumpkin trotted through the everfree not minding the prick of branches. Finally she emerged to the place where her crude house sat. The rabbit followed slowly behind still cautious of apple bumpkin. Finally apple bumpkin walked into her crude house and lay her utensils on the floor. Then she started a small fire outside and picked up the zap apples she had recollected. She couldn't just sell these but she had no bits for caramel so she had to make do. She roasted the zap apple and then made cooked grass swirls around it. She made three more apples like that and then the rabbit followed her as she went out to sell them. She returned with 12 bits smiling. The caramel was 1 bit a pound. Also they had a cheap assortment of junk and almost expired milk at a certain store. She would have enough bits for dinner and to buy the caramel. Apple bumpkin went to the town library and decided to read about what the rabbit was. As she got close to the town the rabbit turned into a golden retriever. "Wow," apple bumpkin smiled as they walked to town. That will show her stupid back stabbing mother. They reached the library and apple bumpkin began to search. Finally she came up with a book called amorphous and mimickers. On the cover was the same gem the rabbit was. Apple bumpkin read it in fascination and then smiled at the retriever. "Can I call you sphinx?" She asked. Sphinx replied with happy singing nioses. "Okay!" Apple bumpkin smiled closing the book. "Mam?" A voice asked behind her. Apple bumpkin whipped around to see a small pony shaking on the spot. "Yeah?" Apple bumpkin said holding out the end. "Your father is dead."

She frowned in disgust at the pastries below here. "Stupid food," she muttered. A stallion bumped into her making her fall face first into the pastries. She fought the urge to cry as she glared at the crowd of stuck up rich posh ponies. She looked at the happy birds and wished she could be with them. She ran out of the room into the garden. She wiped the icing off her and cried out in anger. She threw herself on the tree trunk. She whistled as sad song and a handful of birds answered with their sad tales. In response she whistled a shrill note. Then she closed her eyes feeling a headache and against her own will started to remember the past two days. ~ FLASH BACK ~ Apple bumpkin woke up ready to welcome the sunshine through her patch quilts and smell the scent of apple fritters and the apple pancakes. But no light shone through. The sky outside was gray and dreary and no smell of fritters and pancakes wafted her way. She ran into the kitchen to find her father and mother eating eggs. "Mom dad?" She asked. Her mother put down her fork and put her hoof on apple bumpkin's shoulder. "Honey," she said," I'm kicking you out." Apple bumpkin had bought an acre of land and built a small crude makeshift house. She looked at the golden ticket in her hooves. A present from her backstabbing mother. She crumpled it in her hoof. She was going to use it. ~ FLASH BACK ENDS ~ Apple bumpkin broke into tears shaking her head. After tonight she would return to that cold crude home. Why? "Umm miss?" A voice said," do you need any help?"
The secret of the everfreeView OnlineUnwantedThe secret of the everfreeApple bumpkin wiped sweat of her brow arching it in concentration. She pushed through a tangle of weeds trying to avoid the sharp edges. She had heard rumors of bad things lurking here and not to trust ponies. Especially the blanked. She wasn't worried about running into those things though. She continued on observing every fruit bearing tree. After an hour or so she appeared at an orchard full of fresh zap apples. She plucked them off the trees and gathered them in her hooves. As she plucked the second to last one off the tree she spotted a gem faintly shining in the tangling branches. She reached out for it her eyes mesmerized before she slapped herself. She shouldn't trust random gems but it was so so so tempting. She slapped herself again. She couldn't do this. She picked up the apples ready to go when she dropped them running over to the gem. She had never had a beautiful thing in her life and now. She could. She grabbed the gem cradling it in her hooves like a baby. The blue gem peered up at her with bright blue eyes making sad singing noises. Apple bumpkin screamed and dropped it on the ground making the gem make sad singing noises. The gem all of a sudden turned into a rabbit and scampered off. "Wait don't be alarmed!" Apple bumpkin yelled chasing after it. She cried out as she fell down a hole into a damp cave. She looked at a small pond in the cave decorated with tulips. What was it about a cloning pond? Ah well she was thirsty. Apple bumpkin kneeled down and put her lips to the water.

HeroView OnlineUnwantedHeroApple bumpkin collected more grass and began to cook more of it as Ampfiba stirred more and more. The rabbit finished it's meal and hopped into the shadows of the rocks. Apple bumpkin finished the grass as soon as ampfiba's eyes flew open. She tried to get up and attack apple bumpkin but she cried out as blood rushed down her back. She growled at apple bumpkin. "Don't worry," apple bumpkin said,"I'm gonna heal your back if you're hostile. If you're not I'll still heal it." Apple bumpkin passed the bowl of steaming grass over to a disgusted looking Ampfiba. "Night," she said dusting her hooves on her bandana and crawling under some rocks. Apple cinnamon twirled the shoe in his hooves peering down at the velvet smiling. Why had she left? He sighed and set it on his desk. "APPLE CINAMON!" A shrill voice shrieked. He sighed following his mother's angry shrieks down the marble hallway. Finally he came into the grand ballroom where his mother stood in horror at the red pot with designs covering it. The pot cradled a tiny apple tree with one shiny red apple making it lean over. "WHY IS THIS IN HERE!" She screamed. "I had to set it down for a second I was just about to bring it into my office," apple cinnamon said. His mother looked at him fury in her eyes. She pulled her dainty polished hoof up,"this is what I think of your stupid apples," she growled. The pot broke and the apple smushed into the floor as apple cinnamon stared in horror. "AND THIS IS WHAT I THINK OF YOUR STUPID CUTIE MARK!" The pot broke into smaller pieces and more bits and chunks were torn apart. Finally she stood over a mess of smushed apples, broken leaves, and pottery shards. Anger boiled up in apple cinnamon and he glared at his mother. "Why," he growled," do you offer me a room, refuse to let me leave, and give me a job yet continue to torture me and detest me in every way!"' Apple cinnamon yelled. And he stormed off. Apple bumpkin held the needle between her teeth," stop sqruiming,"'she said pressing down on Ampfiba examing her back. She sighed and dropped the needle. "It's fine just a little cleaning to prevent infection and some ice or heat." Ampfiba cursed looking at apple bumpkin with anger. "Don't look at me like that!," apple bumpkin yelled," it's not like your gonna magically get a hero to save you!"' Apple bumpkin whistled sweetly as she pulled out a bucket of cold water and clean boiled water. "Wash the cut with this,"'she said pointing to the boiled water.," And this for cooling it," she said pointing to the cold bucket. The rabbit popped out of the shadows still unsure but stood near apple bumpkin. "YOU'RE GONNA LEAVE ME HERE!" Ampfiba yelled. "You have all you need and you've have made it quite clear you don't like me," apple bumpkin said. Ampfiba was glowering in anger but apple bumpkin just continued on.
