The train ride to Canterlot was uneventful. However, when the girls reached Canterlot itself, there was utter chaos.

"RUN FOR YOUR LIIFE!" "IT'S A DEMON!" "HE'S GOING TO KILL US ALL!"

The group rushed to the castle, dodging the barrage of confused and panicked ponies.

Rainbow Dash? Is it him? What's going on?

I don't know, Flutters. It probably is him. I wish that he would've given us more time. Then again, he did sneak into the castle yesterday...

Buildings burnt and smoke filled the sky. It was time.

Rainbow Dash. We have to tell them. If we don't, they might make things worse. Please, Dash...

Rainbow looked at Iridescent. She knew what question Rainbow wanted her to answer. She nodded.

Okay...Fine.

The girls kept running towards the castle, still dodging various things. After a few moments, they reached the castle. As they were about to enter the throne room, a loud explosion was heard in the distance, so everyone looked out of the window.

"MUHAHAHAHA!"

On top of a burning building stood a man who had a rainbow mane and had red and black eyes. (Look at Dash's eyes on the cover photo) He was wearing black jeans with a dark gray worn out shirt.

"Shit..." Dash whispered.

"What was that, Rainbow Dash?" asked Rarity.

"Nothing."

They all walked into the throne room as Celestia greeted them.

"Hello. my little ponies. Please listen up carefully. An evil being from the past has been awaken. We need to stop him before he destroys everything. I need you to use the elements to fight him immediately. Since I figured that you'd come to the castle after your journey, I brought the elements here." She opened the vault that held the elements.

"You do know that the elements won't stop him right?" Iridescent asked Celestia.

"And who might you be?" asked Celestia.

"I'm Dash's older sister, Iridescent, and I'm just telling you right now that they'll die if they try facing him with only the elements."

"Um, excuse me, but you don't know the power of the elements, Iridescent, so you can't just say that they're too weak to defeat him," said Twilight.

"She does know the power of the elements, and she's right. They're way too weak to even scratch him." Dash argued.

"Also, he'd probably kill us before we could attack. The other enemies just underestimated us, but he doesn't mess around." said Fluttershy.

"How do you know this exactly?" asked Applejack.

"Because we've met him before." said Fluttershy.

"Also," said Dash, "he's Des and my father."
