//-------------------------------------------------------// The inner thoughts of a solitary draconequus -by Sinnia Verika- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue It was cold. Cold, and dark. It wasn't the kind of dark that followed you through the night, or the type of darkness you ran into in the woods. No, it was the kind of dark that only some creatures could sense - the absence of magic. And he liked it. Maybe it was a little harder to walk, especially since he was restricted to walking on all four legs, and maybe it made life a little more boring, but he knew he had to stay there. At least for a little while. Sure, some might miss him. But that number consisted of one little pegasus that would do better without him. She would be fine, after a while, if she even noticed his absence at all. It was a difficult thing to wonder about, really. Someone missing him, a pony nonetheless. But he had a feeling she would, even if he felt she shouldn't. For who could really care for a draconequus? A draconequus with a warped mind and little morals. He'd been trying to be better, he really had, but he was tired. Tired of putting up with everypony's low standards for him. Tired of their blatant hatred. It wasn't that he didn't deserve it - he understood now that he did - but he felt like he didn't even have a chance to make it up to them, not after the incident with Tirek. His outright betrayal. And yet they still took him back... That was why he was here, actually. He had to make things right. They deserved as much. She deserved it.
