Chapters "Why? Why in the name Tartarus its self do we have to go to-?" A dark blue Pegasus colt turned to a red Pegasus mare, "what is it called again puny-vile?" The Pegasus rolled her eyes,
"it's Pony -ville smart Alec," she snapped at him, "aren't you supposed to be the Celestia damned book worm? I mean you've been asking what it's called through the whole ride Striker!"
"Yeah dude, you got to chill!" a bronze colored earth pony colt told him, the colt had a blue mane and tail (which was streaked with dark grey) and he was wearing blue shades tinged with bronze, The Pegasus scowled,
"Chill? Seriously dude?!" he growled angrily raising his volume, he would have rose in the air if he didn't forget to oil his wing brace's. "We're freaking being sent to a town where ever pony freaking hates us, and supposed to make bloody friends?" several other passengers got up from their seats and moved far way from Striker and his friends. He proably looked really cool with his Mohawk, not that he cared. "Oh, and how am I the book worm? Sure I've read some books on Wonder bolt history but-"
"Striker shut up, your making a scene." A bright bluish-purple unicorn snapped at Striker, glaring at him with a severely annoyed expression on his face.
"And stop using curses and insults from the hairless monkey world, it makes you look like a lunatic!" a dark purple alicorn informed him calmly, as if he constantly told of other ponies for spouting curses from alternative universe's. He looked strange, int the pink, yellow and extremely colorful background. His face was expressionless, However with with green yes ans slits for pupils he looked like he was considering whether to kill Striker or not. Dang that guy is creepy ... Striker thought,they were friends but Blue moon still unnerved him sometimes.
"Look Blue Moon dude, the curses in the hairless monkey world is way more insulting then hay or Celestia damn it , or anything these ponies have come up with!" Striker protested, feeling calmer, being scared of somepony helps when you want to calm down , but it didn't apply Striker, of course not! He wasn't scared of the alicorn glaring at him with murderous intent, just ... mildly cautious. Blue Moon rolled his eyes and turned away, staring out through the window.
"Dude, come on! Why are you always so quiet? Striker asked the alicorn, "oh, and why are you always wearing that helmet?"
"Technically it's a helm." Striker turned to the dark pink mare who had contradicted him, he rolled his eyes.
"Seriously? It's totally a-" the bluish-purple unicorn cut him off,
"Dude, just shut up, please." he snapped a Striker, who just grinned,
"Sure Starry! He teased, "I'll shut up ma-" he saw Blue Moon glare at him, "uh, I mean dude ." he corrected himself, grinning sheepishly. He looked around the room for someone to annoy-er talk too. He saw the Mic Beat with silver rimmed, blue-tinged with bronze shades nodding his head his head and muttering something like, Discord I want my muffin back! Okay he probably was saying the gimme the muffin back part but he was mumbling Discord! over and over again.
The train suddenly shuddered to a halt, the door at the front of the train slid open, the commissioner pony walked in,
"alright, ponyvile! Anyone gettin' off?" he demanded.
"Yup!" a red Pegasus replied to the conductor then everypony present stood up, gathered there belongings and walked towards the exit. They got off the train to find six other ponies waiting there for them, a pink earth pony ( who was hopping two meters into the air) suddenly raced toward them.
"Omygosh,omygosh,omygosh! I can't believe it, seven new ponies in one day? How cool is that?" she said all of that without pausing to take a breath, and she didn't gasp for breath afterwards. I'm impressed, Striker thought,She's even more ADHD then * I** am!*
A brown earth pony (who had just walked out of one of the train doors) smiled at a yellow on whose face was almost completely covered by her light pink mane, she threw her hoof over the shy one, "hey cousin! How's it going? Make any new friends?" she asked eyeing the four ponies who were watching the scene and smiling at the yellow Pegasus.
"Um ... well, know that you mention it ... yeah." She said it, barely audible,
" Doormat." Striker muttered under his breath so only his unicorn friend and Blue Moon could hear, "seriously guys, I can't believe those two are related!" Blue Moon was impassive but the unicorn was snickering, " so, is being antisocial part of the family or what?" The unicorn stop trying to mask his laughter and chortled away clutching his gut like it hurt from all the laughing he was doing and Blue Moon actually cracked a small smile. Striker felt elated, he had actually got Mr. Antisocial to smile, I knew I could break him eventually! I mean the dude acts like he's at a funeral *every freaking day!*
"What are ya'll a' laughing at?" they turned to see an orange pony frowning at them,
"nothing!" Striker told her with an unconvincing look of innocence, the earth pony's frown deepened.
"Well, then ya'll obviously heard what Twilight hear just said right?" she asked clearly not buying Striker show of innocence, a lavender unicorn ( who, guessing by the way she was frowning at them, was Twilight)
"I'm going to tell you again," surprisingly Twilight sounded only mildly irritated, I have failed! Striker thought grinning But I'll get her to crack, just wait! "Nightmare Night is today so you better get some rest. You'd be welcome to stay at my place if you like!" Twilight smiled know that she had their undivided attention, Blue Moon shrugged.
"I'm fine with it." he told her with his usual I really don't care expression. Twilight smiled at him,
"Okay, what about the rest of you?" they all shrugged and said sure,
"no thanks, I'll be staying with my cousin here." the earth pony gestured to Fluttershy, Twilight looked surprised,
"Didn't Fluttershy tell you? were all having a sleep over!" the earth pony turned to Fluttershy,
"What's the matter Flutter's? Why didn't you tell me?" she asked , Fluttershy blushed.
"Well, um, I ... I was going to tell you but ..." she trailer off blushing fiercely, "I sort of ... well, you know ... forgot. Sorry Iron Hammer." Iron Hammer? Striker thought, that doesn't sound like a girl's name, maybe it is thought, considering this is a whacked out alternative universe! . Iron Hammer smiled at Fluttershy,
"that's alright, no biggie." she reassured Fluttershy, who looked grateful her cousin hadn't gotten angry at her.
"So you came come over too? This slumber party is going to be great!" Twilight practically squealed, Striker rolled his eyes.
"Great isn't always what comes to mind at filly-colt slumber parties, awkward yes, but great? Not so much." he muttered to his friends, who all nodded their heads in agreement except for Blue Moon who stood quietly staring at the moon. Striker realized what he just said,
"whoa, man I'm sorry I forgot ..." Striker quickly apologized, Blue Moon shrugged,
"no big deal." He replied, thought his tone told Striker otherwise. But before Striker could say anything to make him feel better ( not that he knew anything about Blue Moon let alone what would make him feel better) the pink pony screamed, leaping five meters into the air.
"Oh my gosh! Nightmare night sleepover, welcome to ponyvile party, yay! " Shut up, please I need to get some sleep. Blue Moon thought, luckily Twilight cut her off,
"Pinkie! They just got here, they must be tired, we can't have a party today!" She snapped at the pink pony, who defied all known laws of physics and paused mid jump, then floated down.
"Awww...." she complained , "why not today? They can rest after the party silly!" Twilight frowned at her,
"because then there'll all be sleepy and won't have a good time at all!" she snapped at Pinkie, who had her chin on her hoof like The Thinker, "Hmmm ..." Then suddenly a light bulb appeared over her head,
"I got it! A great idea!" she announced dramatically, "I've decided to postpone the party for tomorrow!" And with that she zoomed away, a blur of color. Striker blinked,
"okay ... I've had my fair share of weird adventures -" he began, the unicorn glared at him,
"what weird adventures?" he demanded frowning, Striker raised an eyebrow,
"need I remind you Starry, about the time-" the unicorn cut him off.
"That was one adventure! Where did the others come from?" he glared at Striker, " and my names Galaxy Star no Starry! Galaxy Star, remember the name!"
Striker grinned, "yeah remember the name! we talking ten percent luck, twenty percent skill-" Lightning wing cut him off.
"Um, guys we need to get going." Lightning Wing told them pretending to be exasperated but couldn't help grinning all the same, " you can argue later, but the rest of us rather have a slumber party." the others nodded, except for Iron Hammer,
"Speak for yourself, I'm enjoying this!" She protested , Lightning Wing glared at her, "I mean, yeah we need to get going and stuff ..." she corrected grinning.
"Alright then." Twilight said in a cross voice, "then let's go." She turned around and heading home with roughly seven ponies following her, I feel like were forgetting someone, Galaxy Star thought. Eh, must be my imagination. After a couple steps they heard somepony call out,
"Hey! Guys wait up!" Galaxy star turned to see the bronze earth pony he saw in the train running towards them, when he finally caught up he gasped,
"dude-gasp -what the- gasp - hell? You were going to leave without me?" he demanded angrily, thought they couldn't see his eyes through his shades Galaxy star suspected he was glaring at them,
"sorry Mic Beat, we were kinda preoccupied and your pretty hard to notice because you hardly talk at all." Galaxy apologized scratching, well rubbing cause he didn't have fingers. Mic Beat sighed,
"fair enough lets go." Striker stared grinning does this kid ever get upset for longer than a minute? that was one of the things Striker liked about Mic, he never holds a grudge. So he can tease him without pissing him off, oh that and he always had great music with him.
Everypony else just starred, Mic glared at them. "Well? What are you looking at? lets go!" and so they did, all of them running as fast they could, ( except for Fluttershy, she was slowly flying after them.)
Blue Moon panted, it's been two day's since they had first found him and he'd been on the run ever since, he was tired, hungry, thirsty, injured, and, as much as he'd hate to admit it, scared.
He was running from Hellhounds, why? Blue moon or Nyx , the name gorgons called him until he killed them. Yes, killed them. The thought still made Nyx feel cold, countless times he tried to convince himself that it was not his fault.
After all, they were trying to kill him! But he still felt guilty, he had never considered killing anyone no matter how much he hated them. Nyx felt like a criminal, a fugitive from justice. In the last three weeks he had borrowed several things, including a motorcycle a cops gun ( Which he still had) and several supplies from Walmart . He felt bad at first but the guilt soon faded as he was forced to either do those crimes repeatedly or starve to death.
You would think that a pack of hellhounds chasing around a ratty teenager and trying to kill him would attract attention, but no. For some reason he was the only person who could actually see the damned demons and because of that he had been falsely accused of many crimes.
Fortunately no one had got a clear picture of his face, so no one would go after him for now. But Nyx knew that eventually his identity would be discovered and then well, then he's dead.
So that is why he was here, at Wal-Mart. Okay perhaps that doesn't really make sense when you consider that he was in risk of being arrested, but he had several precautions taken so that the cops won't find out who he is. First off he was wearing a hoodie, second he was wearing a creepy white mask.
Okay, maybe it didn't hide his identity and make him look like a gangster or a crazy vigilante, but hey , he was running out or options here! Plus, WalMart has tons of supplies so he has been camping here and stealing food. He felt bad about it at first but eventually he got used to it. Any way he was racing down the aisle cussing under his breath with two hellhounds tracking him, * yup just an average Saturday, or is it Sunday?** Nyx didn't know, he lost track of the days a long time ago ....*
Unfortunately it was the middle of the day, why unfortunately you ask? Cause those damn hellhounds apparently didn't care if it was day or night, and they were chasing him right now.
Nyx was running towards the exit when a hell hound appeared in front of him. Instinctively he drew the switch blade the red head girl gave him, it didn't look special, just a pitch black handle (the blade hadn't been "switched" out yet.) he pushed the white switch on the right side of the handle and suddenly he was holding a wicked double-edged sword with a black handle. The blade was roughly a meter long, the blade was thin and the sword its self was very light and well balanced.
"Stay back! I uh ... got magical power and ... stuff." Nyx finished lamely, the hellhound growled in response, it was ... well disgusting. It looked like a rat who lost all its fur and grey a black leather hide, and grey to the size of a pit bull. It's shout was short, but longer than a pit bull, it had terrible eye sight and used smell to target its prey. Its eyes were small and beady, it had large wolf-like ears, its leg's were fairly long and slim for its size and build, it had a small tail and a mouth full of shark like teeth. The hellhound roared, it sounded like a pig squealing ,which ruined the effect , and leapt at Nyx. The hellhound pinned him to the ground with ease its jaws edging near his throat.
Blue Moon woke with a start, breathing heavily he looked around the tree-house and saw everyone was asleep. Damn these stupid nightmares! Blue moon thought angrily, How can I forgive and forget if I can't freaking forget?! He (along with his comrades and Twilights friends) was sleeping in the spare room at Twilights library/house.
"Stupid nightmares," Blue Moon snarled under his breath, "stupid pony mother and retarded pony universe." He tried to clench his fists but realized he didn't have one. Blue Moon took a deep breath, and got up from his sleeping bag on the floor.
He opened the door with his magic and left the room heading outside, I need to go for a walk , Blue Moon thought, yeah, a walk to grasp what the hell just happened in the last week. He'd done this many times, even before he came to Equestria to clear his head of his thoughts.
After a while he came across a dense jungle, he walked across its some-what harsh terrain ( considering the fact that it was the middle of the night and about 70% of the animals were asleep.) He came across a large tree, bigger than all the other and he flew up to it. The branch was huge, big enough to hold his weight, I think and without another thought he rested on the branch and dozed off.
"Blue Moon?" a voice called ripping the alicorn from its slumber, not that I'm complaining, He thought. His dreams were always about his past, and considering that his memories weren't all sunshine and rainbows, it was like rubbing salt on a open wound.
"Blue Moon?" a voice repeated sounding just as young but more high pitch, Blue Moon growled. He turned and fell out the tree, but long before he could hit the bottom he extended his wings and began to flap. It three seconds he was hovering in the air glaring at three fillies who looked nervous and slightly afraid of waking the alicorn.
"W-w-well, Mr. Blue Moon, um ... we ah ..." the white unicorn stumbled blushing and looking embarrassed, the yellow earth pony just gulped but the some-what dark brown pegasus was not so easily frightened into submission. She glared back at him, "Twilight and the others are calling you," she began excitement sparking in her eyes, "its night mare night!" Blue Moon frowned,
"Sure, thanks whatever ..." her mumbled yawning a bit he shook his head and then took off, flying at speeds that shouldn't have been possible.
When he got there he realized something, first that everybo- er pony was wearing costumes and he wasn't, more importantly ; he wasn't wearing his helm! No wonder my head feels lighter he thought, then there was a flash of dark blue magic and his helm appeared on his head like it had never left. He had token his helm of to sleep because if you don't it makes you really unconvertible, obviously.
"Blue Moon? Is that you?" he heard somepony call, Blue moon turned to see Twilight running over to him wearing ... why is she wearing a bed sheet and an old-wizards hat? Light loving pony's, I tell you ...
"Yes it's me," Blue Moon said feeling uncomfortable and irritated, "now, good-bye." And with that he left intending to spend his time alone, but unfortunately Twilight wasn't going to give up easily.
"What's the matter? Are you upset?" She asked concerned, upset? Ha! Upset doesn't begin to cover it ... Blue Moon tried not to scowl,
"no, I just like being alone." He responded coolly, "so please let me be." Twilight frowned,
"well, you look upset for some reason. Can you tell me why?"
Blue Moon scowled, "no, why the hell would I tell you if I was upset and/or why I was upset?" he snapped getting a bit annoyed, Twilight's frown deepened.
"Because we're friends." Twilight responded calmly, Blue Moon froze, suddenly Twilight's words echoing in his head.
"We. Are. Not. Friends ." Blue Moon snarled, his wing fully extended, gritting his teeth he said every word slowly expelling his bottled up hate out with every word."I've never had a friend nor do I want one. Do you understand, Twilight?" Blue Moons wings were extended out as if he was going to take-off, eyes screamed malice, anger hate and pain. Twilight looked taken aback, shocked and a little hurt to, she nodded,
"yes, but ... why?" She whispered with the feel of a scared and frightened child, Blue Moons scowled,
"that's none you business Twilight Sparkle ." He replied in a much calmer tone, and then her turned his back on her and left. Every-pony was staring at him, some looking shocked, other angry but all of them reverted the eyes when he glared back. Me, a friend? Blue Moon thought smiling without amusement, yeah right, like that's gonna happen.
Blue moon was strolling through the out skirts of Ponyvile, Twilights words echoing in his head; because we’re friends.
Shut up. Blue Moon growled back, what the hell is wrong with these creatures? He thought angrily, is this friendship crap all they care about? With these thoughts racing around in his head he wasn't watching where he was going and bumped into some pony.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Blue moon demanded irritated, “watch where you’re going you-!” he stopped n his track when he saw that the pony he had run into was Striker.
“What’s the matter bro? Having’ an off day?” Striker asked grinning, “Judging by how you reacted, I’m guessing you are. So what’s the matter?” Blue moon sighed and sat on the base of the statue that depicted his mother.
“Where do I start?” He asked wearily, “I've been sent to a universe of sunshine and rainbows where the dominant sentient species are horses and I just found out that my mother is some weirdo unicorn-Pegasus thing and know she’s sent me to a town where everyone wants to be my friend.” Striker grinned,
“What about me? Ain't I your friend?” He asked cheerfully, but Blue Moon could tell that he was worried that he may not be considered his friend. Why does everyone make a big deal out of friendship anyway? It’s not really a big deal … right?
Blue Moon cleared his throat, “were comrades,” he corrected, “not friends .” He said the last word with sarcasm and a slight sneer to show just how … naive the idea of friendship is. Striker burst into a laughing fit. Blue Moon sneer turned into an annoyed scowl,
“What the hell is so freaking funny?” he demanded angrily, he glared at his friend annoyance written across his face. Striker finally calmed down, but he was still grinning broadly and snickering a bit.
“What’s so funny?” Striker’s grin was so wide it must have been painful, “I’ll you whats funny, were not friends you say? We’re comrades? Ha! Do comrades hang out with each other and sleep over at each other’s house?” Blue Moon scowl deepened,
“Yes, sometimes,” he snapped, why do you always make freaking jokes? Can’t you take anything seriously? Striker smirked,
“Alright, you had plenty of comrades at your mom’s royal night guard boot camp; did you hang out with them or have sleep-over with them? Well? Did you?” Blue Moon sighed; I guess he has a point.
“Sure alright, we’re friends.” He relented, “but I just met Twilight, she isn't my friend.” Striker grinned,
“Yet,” He corrected, “but considering that you’re going to sleep at her house and apologize to her, well, you defiantly going to become friends eventually.” His tone, though not threatening, implied he expected him to do as he said. Blue Moon sighed,
“Sure, I guess.” He replied nonchalantly, and so the two friends went to Twilights house. Striker wrapped his right hoof over Blue Moons shoulder and grinned,
“I Knew I could break you.” He said jokingly Blue Moon groaned,
“Just shut-up, please.” He begged, Striker grin still refused to fade,
“Sure think bro, whatever you say.”
(Mic Beat POV)
Mic Beat was extremely frustrated waiting for Blue Moon to return, why, why did you have to freaking discharge?! He thought angrily glaring at his Mp3 player, which, thankfully, didn't respond.
“Um, excuse me Mic Beat, but how come Blue Moon and Striker aren’t here yet?” Fluttershy asked nervously, Mic Beat shrugged,
“I don’t know but when they come I’m going to give Blue Moon a piece of my mind!” At that moment the door was pushed open, Blue moon and Striker walked in real casual-like. Mic Beat was going to chew-out Blue Moon, but after looking him in the eye his bravado faded.
“Where in equestria were you?!” Twilight demanded glaring at the two of them,
Striker grinned sheepishly but Blue Moon stared back impassively.
“We were hanging out and stuff,” Striker replied quickly, “where’s every pony else?” Twilights scowl faded,
“There in the kitchen helping bake the cupcake, apple, and gem pie.” She told them with a flicker of a smile, Blue Moon turned,
“Excuse me?” he asked poker faced, Twilight grinned,
“Come on, you’ll see.”
“Those light loving’ ponies,” Strike muttered so only Blue Moon could hear, Blue Moon face returned to an impassive expression.
“What did I just tell you?”
Striker grinned, “What can I say? I’m talkative!” Blue Moon rolled his eyes,
“What else is new?” he asked sarcastically, Striker gasped as if Blue Moon had just cussed,
“Is that sarcasm moony? There might be hope for you yet!” He said with mock surprise.
They followed Twilight to the kitchen where every pony was hard at work making cupcakes, apple pies … was that dragon putting rubies on his cake? Striker stopped abruptly, Twilight, Blue Moon, and Mic Beat turned to face him,
“What’s wrong?” Twilight asked worriedly, “Is there nothing you like? If so I can make something for you, anything! I’ll-“Mic Beat cut her off,
“Wow, and I thought I wasn't comfortable with other people!” he commented, Striker laughed.
“Dude, why do keep sneaking up on us?” He asked grinning; Mic beat frowned at him,
“I wasn’t sneaking, I trying to ask Blue Moon dude over here to recharge my Mp3 player!” He grinned at Blue Moon, “Sooo, can you recharge my Mp3 player? Please?” Twilight stared at him like he was speaking Japanese (well actually she’s a pony so she probably thought it was Alien.)
“What’s an Mp3 player?” she asked frowning, Blue Mon Scowled at Mic Beat who was rubbing his head sheepishly,
“Just because you said that I ain’t gonna charge you stupid Mp3 player, beside you need to interact with ponies more.” Blue Moon snapped at him, Mic Beat looked outraged.
“Me?! Interact with ponies more?!” He demanded, clearly outraged, “You hypocrite! You never interact with ponies, who are to tell me I need to be more social?” Twilight looked even more nervous than before, Blue Moon sighed,
“It’s just for one night man, you can handle that right?” Striker was about to retort but suddenly his mouth was zipped shut, literally. Blue Moon had shut the crippled Pegasus with a magic zipper. “And besides you need to get your wing brace oiled again because you haven’t been using your wings at all!” Twilight blinked,
“Wing brace?” he asked clearly confused, “is that like a leg brace or something? Why would Striker need- Oh …” realization dawned on her face, “Um, let’s go … to the kitchen, now.” Neither colt neither argued nor spoke as they both followed the lavender unicorn as she led them towards the kitchen.
“What the freaking hell, is going on here?!” Blue Moon roared from the kitchen startling Galaxy Star, he raced to the kitchen to find his friend Blue Moon (whose face had bits of dough on it.) Glaring at his and Twilight’s friends and a purple dragon.
Wait what? Galaxy Star stared at the foot tall purple and green lizard that was gulping loudly and staring at Blue Moon as if the dark purple alicorn would rip his throat out. Twilight was biting her lip clearly trying not to smile.
“We’re making cupcakes!” Pinkie Pie told him cheerfully clearly not put off by his angry expression, or his yelling.
“Pinkie Pie, why were you throwing the dough around?” Twilight asked with a straight face, though her eyes glittered with amusement. Pinkie Pies smile didn't falter for a second and Galaxy Star was getting a bit nervous,
That’s really creepy … he thought eyeing the pink earth pony like she was psychotic. Pinkie pie smile (if possible) stretched more, how does she stretch her mouth like that without hurting her face?
“We were having a dough fight!” She told them cheerfully, then suddenly she disappeared in a blur of pink, “duh!” a voice from behind them shouted Mic Beat stumbled, Twilight stepped back and Galaxy star hobbled away rubbing his ear. But Blue Moon whirled around and shot a beam of energy that (thank fully,) barely missed Pinkie pie and smashed a hole in the wall behind her. However the force of the blast knocked her off the ceiling, sending her flying. Right before she smashed into the ground she magically stopped in midair and fell gently on her hooves.
“Don’t ever do that again, or my next bolt won’t miss.” Blue Moon warned her causally as if he constantly threatened to blow ponies heads off, or if he had been expecting that.
He missed on purpose?! Galaxy Star thought shocked, He doesn’t seem shocked, startled or affected in any way! And when he turned to blast Pinkie Pie, Galaxy Star could have sworn he saw him tilt his head so the blast wouldn’t hurt her. He felt a surge of shock, awe and fear overcome him I haven’t seen anyone use magic so precisely! Not even Celestia! He shuddered involuntarily how powerful is this guy?
All the others were gawking at Blue Moon to, he turned and scowled at them, “what? I thought you baking cake?” And with that every pony, and dragon went back to baking quietly, as if nothing had happened. Even Pinkie Pie shut up, which is a phenomenon not many see. Blue Moon stormed away angrily, heading outside again back to the wilderness, where everything makes sense … or so he said.
“Blue Moon! Wait!”
“Wait up dude!”
“Hold it right there!”
Blue Moon paused, he turned glaring at them hatred written across his face, “what?!” He asked snarling like a cornered animal, every hair on his back stood on his back, canines where popping out of the empty spaces after his incisors, his eyes had narrowed into even thinner slits giving him a animalistic, wild look. For once in his life Galaxy Star felt afraid of his friend, afraid for himself which made him feel guilty,
Your friend needs you and your going to chicken out just because he’s a little … intimidating? He chastised himself, however he still felt a little afraid. He step forward,
“Look man, we know what you’re going through-“
“SHUT UP!” Blue Moon screamed starling every pony, Galaxy Star took a step back, every pony else stared back with fearful eyes all hate dissipated and fear consumed them. All stood shell-shocked staring at the alicorn.
“JUST SHUT THE HELL UP YOU FREAKING SCUM BAGS! YOU KNOW NOTHING! NOTHING, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!” Waves of dark energy rippled from him, hate so intense it kept everypony silent in fear that the energy would be directed to them.
“PIECES OF SHIT!” he screamed his eyes turning white, he rose from the ground without flapping his wings, the winds howled and all polled to create a mild typhoon. Everypony struggled not to get ripped from the floor and sent flying. “SUN LOVING SCUM! DO YOU KNOW WHAT I HAD LIVE THROUGH WHILE YOU ALL FROLICKED IN THIS HAVEN?! He screamed his voiced echoing loudly thought the town,
“I’VE HUNTED BY HELLHOUNDS, GORGONS AND NEKBET! THEN I WAS SENT TO A GOD-DAMNED TOEN WHERE EVERYONE FREAKING HATES ME FOR SOMTHIG I DIDN’T EVEN FREKING DO! YOU UNDERSTAND NOTHING! DAMN YOU ALL TO TARTARUS!!
The winds howled louder and louder and then they stopped … every pony stared in horror as a dark purple alicorn fell to his demise.
“Quick somepony help him!” Somepony shouted, instantly the rainbow pony raced towards Blue Moon. But before she could reach him there was a flash of red light, and a couple meters in front of Galaxy star Iron Hammer was crouching on the floor like she was about to take off, with Blue Moon on her back.
Oh god, please no, no … is he dead? Galaxy Star thought franticly, sure they had their differences but Blue Moon was his friend. He didn’t care what the latter said, like it or not they were friends and he did care about all his friends. The thought of one of them dying … Stop thinking like that! Galaxy star snapped at himself, he is not Dead, he’ll survive … Right?
“Screw it, he’s not-” Iron hammer cut him off,
“No, he is not dead.” She snapped at him, looking angry for some reason, “but he will be if we don’t freaking get him to the god-damned hospital, now!” No one argued, Galaxy Star conjured up stretchers and they raced him to the hospital.
Things went by like a blur, like watching a movie without sound and terrible quality. Quality so bad, you can barely tell what the hell is going on. That’s what it was like to Galaxy Star until he heard those two words,
“Absolutely not!” Galaxy Star blinked at the doctor, he was a brown colt with bright blue hair and gold monocles. He was glaring at Blue Moons unconscious body with distaste, maybe even disgust. Galaxy Star narrowed his eyes at the stallion, his worry and confusion boiled to anger.
“What do mean by absolutely not?!” Galaxy Star snarled his horn was crackling with magic and his hair was sticking up like a wolf’s, the doctor gulped,
“Did I say that? I meant absolutely. Totally-”
“Just shut-up and do it!” Iron hammer snarled at him, then seconds later (at least it seemed like seconds,) they were sitting in the waiting room while the doctors did … whatever doctors do. Iron Hammer was walking around the room muttering under her breath, Twilight was curled up in a tight ball rock back and forth and muttering, she looks like psycho, Galaxy Star thought, seriously? This is the moon-breaker, Celestia’s Star student? A blue Pegasus pony glared at him,
“What the hay just happened?” she demanded angrily her voice rising, “I don’t care if the alicorn guy thinks we aren’t his friends, we are! And we want to know what the hay is going on!” She practically shouted the last part, Galaxy Star shook his head.
“It’s not my place to tell you … let Blue Moon do it-”
“He’s just been knocked out! How, the hay is he going to tell us?!” Rainbow Dash shouted, she glared at him from three feet in the air Galaxy Star shrugged. Rainbow Dash
opened her mouth furiously, “Just tell us the-”
“It’s none of your damn business!” Someone snarled, Galaxy Star turned to see Iron Hammer, apparently abandoning her pacing, and glaring at Rainbow Dash.
“Why not?” surprisingly it was Twilight who had spoken, “we’re his friends too you know.” Iron Hammer scowled at the lavender unicorn,
“You've known him for less than half a freaking day and that makes you his friend?” Galaxy Star felt uncomfortable at that statement, were any of them Blue Moon’s friends? Or are we really just comrades?
“We’re trying to be his-”
“You've been trying for one day. Why don’t just go and-”
“Enough!” Everyone in the hospital turned to look at Galaxy Star; they need to know … he thought … but not just yet. “This is not our tale to tell, if Blue Moon wants to tell you his tale then so be it. But we have no right to do so,” he glared at his new found friends, noticing that everyone in the hospital was watching them, “so shut up, and wait. Have freaking patience!” He glared at Iron Hammer,
“You shouldn't act like that, Princess Luna taught us better!” She sat back down on one of the chairs, Galaxy Star then diverted his gaze to Twilight, “Twilight sparkle,” he began slowly, choosing his words carefully. “I don’t know what Princess Celestia taught you but I expect you to wait.” Twilight nodded looking slightly embarrassed, and then Mic Beat spoke the two words Galaxy Star dreaded hearing;
“Is he going to survive?” Galaxy Star turned to his friend with a pained expression, Mic Beats expression was unreadable.
“I …” Galaxy Star hesitated, “… don’t know …”
Images fluttered around the edges of Nyx’s consciousness, a hell hound pouncing at him, a girl with flaming hair tossing him a switch blade, and … leaving to equestria.
I… remember … something… a blurred an none distinctive image appeared, blurred objects flew around and then … everything was gone, and yet everything was there. He was being sucked into a vortex backwards; rainbow colored lights flew past at … some fast speed.
He didn't know what was happening but he felt scared he wanted to curl up and cry except he couldn't. Literally, he was zooming, flying, or whatever backwards way to fast. He couldn't feel his forelegs … or anything.
He felt phantom pains where his arms and legs should be, he couldn't actually feel the limbs that were hurting though, when it had happened he couldn’t explain it in words at all but now …
I feel numb … but I also feel pain … That’s basically what he thought, basically, but not entirely true.
And then, all his senses returned in a flash. A flash of pain, smell, sight, noise, and light. Pain shot through his body, his ear drums throbbed his eyes stung, his lungs burned and his limbs convulsed with indescribable pain.His lungs burned, he gasped for air the light was blinding, his eyes stung with tears. I’m dying …I’m dying now, but I’m alive, what going on? And with that last thought the world zoomed out of focus, and he slipped into a death-like cold darkness.
Blue Moons shot up into a sitting position, breathing heavily sweat soaked his fur as it might have soaked his shirt if he in the human world … his home. He looked up expecting to be in Twilight house/library, but instead of finding the walls stocked with books he was in a room painted almost entirely white except for a large spot on the wall that had a large red plus sign on it.
"What the-?!" Blue Moon’s question was answered by the obviousness of where he was. A hospital? How did I get into a freaking-oh … Once again his question was answered, except this time it was answered by his memory instead of …you know … obviousness.
Blue Moon looked out the window to see a hazy pink sky as the sun rose and light streaked across the dark blue/ dark purple sky. Well, I'm leaving , he thought, I am not, spending another second in this god forsaken place. He slipped out of bed and on to his face.
"Shit!" Blue Moon growled sitting up and rubbing his nose, he was dizzy and exhausted and strangely deprived of energy, as if he had run a relay race. Damn, that really took it out of me! He thought, referring to his, outburst. He crawled back into bed and dozed off, into a dreamless sleep.
"Is he awake?"
"Ah don't know sugar cube,"
"Ooh, I really want to give him our gifts!"
"Oh no, princess Luna is going to be so angry!"
"Seriously? That's what your worried about?"
"No, I'm also worried he'll be seriously injured, or chased out of town by an unruly mob or-"
"We get the idea, sugar cube."
"I still don't get why you can't tell us darling."
"Don't call me darling, and how many times do I have to explain it? It's not my tale to tell, Blue Moon will tell you when he wakes up!"
"What if he never wakes up?"
“... You really are a ray of sunshine and daises Mic Beat ..." There was a slamming sound as some one left the hospital.
"Why are you calling him, a ray of sunshine and daises if he's -"
"It's a metaphor."
"Oh ..."
"Um, shouldn't we be glad he's knocked out? I mean, he is Night Mare Moons kid and-"
"Spike! That was a long time ago, and he didn't have anything to do with it! Besides, Princess Luna's changed now; she wouldn't teach her son anything like that … would she?" No one spoke,
Wow, what a pep talk! I 'm feeling so inspired! Blue Moon thought sarcastically, but Twilight (he could tell from the sound of the voice who's it was.) and her friends weren't done yet.
"Yes, but ..." some pony mumbled, she had a southern accent-Apple Jack! Blue Moon thought.
"But what?” Twilight asked.
"Well, he was born just before Luna turned into Night Mare Moon for the first time right?" Apple Jack asked in what seemed to be a cautious tone, Blue Moon could imagine her (because his eyes were closed shut)
"Well … yes, why, what’s so important about that?” Twilight asked in a suspicious tone, Apple Jack voice came later than usual,
“Well … you see sugar cube … well ah think that maybe he affected by transformation?”
“ … I don’t see where you’re going with this Applejack.” Twilight responded sounding a bit irritated,
“Well, um, yah see ah think the transformation may have … affected him mentally in ah negative way.”
“Are you saying he’s crazy?!” Twilight demanded shrilly, sounding worried panicky, and disbelieving.
“ … It’s a possibility, sugar cube …” Anger boiled inside of Blue Moon; I don’t need to hear this crap ! He thought angrily, I better calm down before I snap and do something crazy … maybe I should perform a sleeping spell on myself! Blue Moon slowly opened his eyes by a fraction to make sure neither was watching, the he concentrated hard and … fell asleep before the spell was finished.
Images flew by at light speed, at first Blue Moon thought they were flash backs and left it at that but they weren’t like any flash-back he had ever experienced before! Instead of focusing on one memory he was seeing random flashes of his past and hearing his thoughts instead of thinking them.
Another thing, he was aware that he was having a flash-back. Normally he found that out after waking up, but this time he was aware of it while he was sleeping. A memory raced by, Blue Moon and his friends entering the Lunar Republic for the first time, his classes at Princess Luna’s school for aspiring young Ponies . He was in a large dark coliseum-like class room with ponies sitting everywhere and watching Princess Luna with rapt attention
“Now class,” Princess Luna began in a strict, cool voice. “Today we will begin our Mind skimming lesson, can anyone tell me what mind skimming is?” She turned to Blue Moon, who was scribbling notes on his note book. “Nyx, tell me what mind skimming is.”
Blue Moon gave start when he heard his old name, he looked up from his notes to see every-pony looking at him, Figures, he thought angrily, out of two hundred students why did she have to pick me? Blue Moon cleared his throat,
“I’m not sure what mind skimming is,” he began coolly, “but I think I have a pretty good idea. Mind skimming is when you skim the surface of ones thoughts, enter someone’s consciousness-” Then the present Blue Moon realized what was happening, someone’s freaking reading my mind! Who could – TWILIGHT! You wanna play this game? Well, then let’s go!
Suddenly Twilight's thoughts and memories instead of his were racing past him he saw her with an older white stallion, her brother. He saw Twilight and her friends fighting nightmare moon and some strange chimera, Discord , Blue Moon thought, isn't that his name? He saw her emotions her thoughts, pretty much everything until he decided to stop.
Blue Moons eyes shot open he pushed himself into a sitting position, gasping heavily he turned to glare at Twilight who was on the floor staring at him in shock,
“You-you just-” She began stuttering, Blue Moon cut her off,
“Ever heard of personal space?!” He demanded growling, Twilight blushed,
“I- I’m really, really sorry,” she told him nervously, “ but I had to find out what-” A loud roar cut her off, followed by screams and shouting.
