//-------------------------------------------------------// Mourning Twilight -by Septic the Earth Pony- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// ... //-------------------------------------------------------// ... The sun began to set over the mountainous region as the forest far from it bathed the veil of the golden sunset. The forest's trail leading to its maw held inside a yellow pony and a white bunny exiting it, who the yellow pony bared a shovel with the dirt from a past task carried out. The pony held her head down bearing the memories of a cared loved one. She looked back at the mouth of the forest and remembered the fond moments of her and her companion's first flight to the last, eating under the same tree, singing new songs. She then seen her pet looking back at the forest as well. She smiled and nuzzled the bunny's neck for comfort as the bunny appreciated the notion. The two then headed back to the cottage underneath the tree. The twilight's end arrived as the stars and moon pierced the cosmic canvas and the sunset followed the sun away from the land's gaze, leaving the night behind. The shovel the yellow mare used is cleaned by a nearby river and put away. The yellow mare herself finished cleaning up her bunny, as she removed the grime and dirt from his fur as she did with her own. Then as she held the bunny in her hooves, suddenly her tears began to run from her cheeks. The yellow pony tried to hold back the tears but all she can do is let them pour and as they did, she then felt something nuzzle her underneath her pink mane. There her pet bunny rests against her for comfort and the yellow mare smiled and wiped the tears away. She held the bunny closely and she closed her blue eyes. The sadness subsided.
