Flash Drive vs The Rainbooms
The Battle of the Bands had been rough there were wins, loses, bruises, tears, and dangerous manipulation, but that didn't matter to some. For the Dazzlings they were only in it because not only had they mind controlled Celestia and Luna into even LETTING the Battle of the Bands happen, but had a plan of making everyone in the world adore them. The Rainbooms entered to stop the Dazzlings by preforming a counter spell that would free the school. But Flash Sentry and his band Flash Drive only entered because while under the Dazzlings spell he and the rest of his band became cold and spiteful and only had thoughts of winning. Now the Dazzlings have made it to the finals, but now it's Flash Drive vs Rainbooms in the finals. Who will win? Who will lose?
"The next ones in the finals will be Flash Drive vs the Rainbooms." said Celestia over the intercom
The Illusions got looks of confusion on their faces.
"Huh?" Trixie said, "Those losers made it to the finals?!"
"It appears so." Sonata Dusk added, "Place your bets everyone."
The whole gym then got silent as Flash Sentry's band Flash Drive came from the left side of the stage and the Rainbooms came from the right. Flash's band composed of him as the lead guitarist with his Gibson Firebird Non-Reverse Cardinal Red Guitar, Bass Keys as the Bass with his Gibson Firebird Non-reverse Five String Bass but now he was playing the acoustic guitar, Drum Roll on the drums, and Amp Atom who usually helped out with the sound and stuff came on stage with a violin.
"Is their programmer holding a violin?" Aria said with a hint of confusion in her voice
"What are they planing." Adagio said suspicously
The Rainbooms consisted of Twilight Sparkle as the main singer, Rainbow Dash on her custom looking Dean Guitar, Applejack on her custom looking four string Gibson Bass, Pinkie Pie on the drums, Rarity on her Keytar, and ... wait a minute.
"Wait." Twilight said, "Where's Fluttershy?!"
"Don't you remember Twilight?" Rainbow asked Twilight, "We told her the songs we were doing wouldn't need the tambourine remember?"
"Oh, right. I forgot." Twilight said
All of a sudden the aforementioned girl suddenly came over next to Flash.
"Sorry I'm late." Fluttershy said
"Fluttershy?!" Rainbow said, "You're working with him?!"
"What else was she suppose to do?" Bass Keys said, "You didn't need her and we needed a tambourine person for our song so we gave her an offer and she accepted."
"What is the name of the song you be playing Rainbooms?" Principal Celestia asked
"Pollyanna." Twilight said
"And what's yours Flash Drive?" Vice Principal Luna
"An instrumental song." Bass Keys said
"Theme of Laura by Akira Yamoka." Drum Roll added
"In honor of him." Amp Atom stated
"And the Silent Hill series." Flash Sentry finished
"Woo ho." Fluttershy cheered
Rainbow Dash then laughed.
"Really?" she said mockingly, "A video game song? That's so dumb!"
"Yours make it sound like it came out of a bad JRPG!" Flash shouted
"And Akira Yamoka's songs are NOT bad!" Amp Atom added
"His Silent Hill 5 - 7 songs were shit!" Rainbow shouted
Everyone, and surprisingly the dazzlings, gasped at that.
"HEY!" Adagio shouted, "I HAPPEN TO LIKE THEM DAMN IT!"
"Ya we've only ever played Silent Hill Homecoming at a gaming expo a couple of years ago and we LOVED it!" Aria added
"SO SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH!" Sonata shouted
Everyone was surprised that Sonata, the derp of the group, even said that.
"What?" Sonata said, "Freedom of speech."
"Either way, were gonna kick your ass!" Flash shouted at Rainbow Dash
"Not if we kick yours first!" Rainbow shouted, "Hit it Rarity!"
"Not so fast!" Flash shouted, "Drum Roll, Bass Keys, now!"
"And so it begins." Adagio said, "The Battle of the Bands just got interesting."
"Break a leg guys!" Sunset shouted
"I believe the morning sun, always gonna shine again, and I believe a pot of gold, waits at every rainbows end, oh, I believe in roses kissed with dew, why shouldn't I believe the same in you?" Twilight sang
As she sang though Flash's band was already ahead with Theme of Laura right at the 0:22 mark of the song. The Dazzlings attention though was drawn to Flash Drive as they were curious as to how Principal Celestia was bobbing her head side ways and Vice Principal Luna was tapping her fingers to Flash's song.
"Flash Drive might actually win if they can keep it up with keeping their attention." Adagio said to Aria and Sonata
"It's actually starting to make me think that they might be more powerful than us." Sonata squeaked
"Even if Flash Drive wins they STILL won't be able to beat us." Adagio stated
"Tell that to the crowd." Aria said pointing to the audience
Indeed the audience appeared to be cheering for Flash Drive a lot with very few cheering for the Rainbooms. Speaking of which the Rainbooms noticed it as well as they saw very few cheer for themwhich made most of them nervous that they might lose. To Twilight she was more nervous, but she just didn't show it, the reason why is because if they lost the counter spell would be all for naught. Panic began to grow among the group as some of them suddenly started hitting the wrong notes and messed up some. Sunset Shimmer was beginning to panic as well.
No! Sunset shouted in her mind in a scared voice, It can't end this way!
All of a sudden when Flash's song reached the 1:31 mark it really looked like they were giving in all their energy into the one song. When it reached the 1:31 mark of their song it was time for Rarity to do a solo, but the bad thing was Rarity was sweating and looking like she was about to fall apart. She somehow managed to preform it though, but Applejack was looking calm as she looked straight at Bass Keys and he looked straight at her. As Twilight continued to sing though Flash Drive was already at the 2:28 mark and it was time for Amp Atom's solo which lasted up until the 2:39 mark.
As Amp played though he looked at Rarity with the intent of blowing her away, and when he was done with the solo he literally blew her away and right behind Pinkie. the crowd was cheering though and some said things like, "Flash Drive rules!" and "Rainbooms suck!" The Rainbooms were now as scared as they ever were as Flash Drive came close to ending their song Flash Drive blew away the entirety of the Rainbooms stopping their song and leaving dust covering the two bands making sunset's heart stopped as she saw it.
"Please no!" Sunset whispered
The dust then settled to reveal the band standing.
"We have the winner, Flash Drive!" Principal Celestia shouted
"Aw yea!" Flash shouted
"We won!" Bass Keys shouted
"Were going to the championship!" Drum Roll added
"And the next song we'll be playing won't need a violin so I'm going back to being the programmer." Amp said
"Yay!" Fluttershy cheered
Sunset's heart sank, it was over, the Dazzlings had won.
