A helicopter flew over the sea, towards a specific destination off the coast of Chile. Inside were five people. David walker. Thomas A. Merrick. Kick. Neptune. Keegan P. Russ. They are the ghosts. Officially task force: STALKER, they have destroyed every enemy they came across. They have never lost during an assault, and none of them plan to lose this one.
"So what can we expect, this time around, chief?" asked David walker. He was in no way a rookie, but compared to some of his companions, he was still learning.
"Okay, soldiers, this maybe our most dangerous mission yet. You all remember doctor tirek, the federation scientist?" all of the team members who were listening nodded. "Well, after the rangers annihilated the base he was presumably hiding out in, he disappeared, and no one knows where he is. This is the only base that we know of that we haven't searched thoroughly. Now here's the interesting part. In the last few operations against him, the teams have pulled out several... things, of anomalous origin. When pressed, his researchers refuted to answer about how and where they got them."
"Anomalous, how?"
" Well, the subjects pulled out of his bases, had missing limbs, and other things attached. Like... one of the people pulled out, had equine legs attached to where his legs used to be. We also uncovered, in one of the sub-basements, a rather interesting piece of machinery. It was shaped like a spiral, with strange markings all around the sides, like runes. According to the files we managed to pull from the computer systems, it was apparently, and I’m being deadly serious here, a 'dimensional gate.'" most of the soldiers stayed stoic, but a small snigger could be heard from Neptune. "Do you have something to say, soldier?"
Neptune looked out the side of the heli, at the island they were starting the descent to. "Nothing much, but i have a really, really bad feeling about this."
Twilight sparkle gasped as she woke up, choking a bit on her saliva. Coughing, she looked around the rather in descript room she was currently inside of. There wasn't much inside of the room, aside from the cot she was on, a mirror, and the door. She suddenly felt a slight pain in her forehead, causing her to grab it. Blinking she looked at her hoof. She almost screamed, but held her tongue. She now had, instead of the hoof she was used to, but a hand. And not even the hand she had during the EQgirls thing, but a slightly chubbier, purple hand with three fingers. Looking it up and down, she saw that she had no fingernails, and they weren't pointed like before. It had a more rounded end, and she couldn't see veins though the skin on the top. It also looked like she had stitches on the juncture from the wrist to the hand. Putting her hand down, she saw the she still had hooves on her bottom half, which was, admittedly, odd. Getting off the bed carefully, she managed not to fall down for the first wobbly 30 seconds. After that she fell on her butt. Shaking her head, and using the side of the cot as a boost, she looked at herself in the mirror. What she saw surprised her. She was 5'5, with two fairly sized (small) mammary gland in the center of her chest. She was still colored purple, with her horn and wings still intact, if a bit bigger. After a few minutes of looking herself over she let go of the cot, and proceeded to walk around her room. After five minutes she tripped over her own hooves and fell against the door. With a rather loud creak, it burst open, and she landed in a corridor. Wincing, she got up and proceeded to looking the five other rooms near hers. No real reason, but something told her to. Looking inside the one on the left she saw applejack on the cot. Pulling open the door, she preceded to try to wake the stoic farm pony up. After 3 failed tries she grumbled and booped her nose. That sent her eyes flying open, as she flailed her arms around and punched twilight in the snout.
"Augh! What the hell, applejack!?"
Applejack blushed slightly and said, "s-sorry twi. What’re you doing in mah room?"
Twilight, still holding her snout, said, "we're not in your room! We’re in a laboratory of some sort. Gah, i think you broke my nose."
"Well what're you doing trying to wake me up like that?"
"I tried everything else."
"So what's going on?”
"I don't know. But i think that the others are in the other rooms."
"Right, let's go get them."
Twilight nodded and she and applejack left the room to choose new ones. They managed to wake up rarity and fluttershy without a hassle. Fluttershy screamed when applejack poked her, which woke up rarity. Rainbow dash was already awake, pulling on the door futilely, and blushed when twilight opened it the other direction. Pinkie pies door was already open and she was apparently wandering around the building. They finally found her by a coffee maker. When the elements of harmony came together, twilight shushed everyone and started talking.
"All right, girls. It appears we aren't in equestria anymore. Any suggestions about what to do?"
Rarity lifted up her ho- hand and said, "After i learned to walk, i found a room, to the left of here, that had military fatigues and weapons. The fatigues are positively dreadful, but i would rather be in those than naked." the others looked down at their bodies and realized that she was right. "I assume the other things in the room are weapons, because they have several blueprints on the walls that dissects one of them, the, 'honey badger', and they have several mechanics that resemble crossbow parts." she saw the looks the others were giving her and said, "what? I know more than just clothes." twilight just shook her head and said
"Right, applejack?"
Applejack blinked and said, "right. Ah found several doors, which open into another hallway. Ah assume that the hallway leads to either a way out, or at least a dead end. If the latter happens, that might prove that we're in a labyrinth of some sort." twilight nodded and looked towards rainbow dash.
"Right. I couldn't find anything."
"Me neither!"
"I-i did find something."
"Well fluttershy? What did you find?"
"A computer."
"And what was on the computer?"
"It said that we're on a military base on an island and that it was, well, built by..."
"Built by who, fluttershy?"
"Tirek"
"WHAT!"
"Okay, ghosts. Were touching down on the heli pad."
"Right. Thanks for taking us here, nikolai. Now we need you to stay here just incase we need to escape fast."
"Just as long as it isn't zombies. I hate those goddamn things."
Thomas nodded and pulled up his mask. The other four did the same. They walked into the main entrance, long over grown with indigenous flora. You couldn't see it, but keegans mouth was open in awe. "Holy shit, boss. What happened to this place?"
"Supposedly tirek just left. It fell into disrepair shortly afterwards." he shook his head and waved his team forward. After a few minutes of wandering they came across a solitary, working computer. Thomas, slowly pressed the 'on' button
