Operation Parachute

Previous Chapter

The next day, everypony is at the Anti-Angel hideout.

"Speckles, present your report.", ordered Castor

"All right.", replied Speckles adjusting his glasses "According to our weapons supply, our stockpile of gunpowder is mostly depleted. We should stock up before our next battle."

"Hey. Wait a minute.", objected Chestnut "With the new guy here, don't we need another gun?"

"Indeed.", replied Castor "Very well, today's operation will be "Operation Guild Parachute Drop". "

"Op..., Operation Parachute?", stammered Ryder imagining that he's dropping from the sky in a parachute.

"What's wrong, Ryder?", asked Home Run

"I'm sorry. I'm not a real big fan of heights.", explained Ryder

"We aren't parachuting from the sky.", explained Castor "We are parachuting down underground."

"Oh, underground. Why did... underground?!"

"Part of our rebellion, we call it the "Guild". It's hidden deep underground.
That's where our friends make all our weapons."

"Is it there so Angel won't find it?"

"Yup,if she overtook the Guild, we'd lose our weapon supplies, we'd lose all hope of winning."

Castor opened up her comunicator.

"Hey!", said a couple of ponies

"It's me. We're headed down there tonight. I need you to disarm all of the traps."

"Roger, it's tonight, right? We'll be waiting."

"Perfect. All right. All of you are going in."

They walked to the stage which had a secret passage under it.

"Huh? Hey, what about Blade?", asked Chestnut noticing that the axe wielding pony is missing.

"That stupid idiot's probably off doing his own things.", suggested Home Run

"Right! Let's go!", cheered TK

"Heave-ho!", cheered Heavy Lifting

"Okay, let's go!", cheered Black Coal

Everypony started walking through the entrance, Home Run stopped and saw Ryder standing there frightened.

"C'mon, don't just stand there.", said Home Run

"It's... It's in there?", asked Ryder "So, this is the entrance?"

Home Run simply nodded and they both walked in. There was a tunnel that resembled a coal mine.

"It's been ages since we last visited the Guild", said Chestnut

"It's really dark.", said Ryder

"Hey, there's someone here!", yelled Coal pointing to a black figure up ahead.

It walked forward, and revealed Blade holding an axe.

"It's the moron.", said Home Run annoyed

"You're Ryder, ain't ya ?", asked Blade pointing his axe at Ryder, "I haven't accepted you as one of us."

"Oh good grief. I don't see why he is waiting to ambush him here.", said Home Run

"Looks like Blade is taking this situation seriously.", said Chestnut

"It doesn't make any sense.", said Castor

"Don't care if you accept me.", said Ryder annoyed

"Punk, care to die a thousand times-", yelled Blade before he was smashed to the wall by a giant hammer.

"Battle formation!", yelled Castor

"Weren't the traps disarmed?", asked Coal

"What's going on?!", asked Ryder

"Just what it looks like.", said Home Run "There are several anti-Angel instant death traps from here to the Guild. It would seem all of them are still activated."

"Meaning what?", asked Ryder

"They forgot to disarm them?", asked Chestnut

"Don't tell me they're trying to kill us!", yelled Coal

"No, the Guild must've decided to reactivate the traps.", explained Castor

"But why?!", asked Heavy

"There's only one explanation: Angel is here."

"Down here?!"

"Just wild Heaven, man.", said TK

"We screwed up.", said Ocean Breeze

"Hold on. So the Guild knew we were coming and reactivated them anyway?", asked Ryder

"It looks like you still don't understand.", explained Speckles fixing his glasses, "No matter what happens, we cannot die. It's just insanely painful."

"That's not cool.."

"But if she locates the Guild and topples it, we won't be able to get more bullets or repair broken weapons.
How would we fight against Angel then?"

"The Guild's decision was correct.", said Castor

"Should we pursue Angel?", asked Home Run

"Are you crazy? The traps aren't deactivated!", yelled Coal

"Those traps will take care of Angel, right? Let's leave.", said Ryder walking away before getting pulled by the tail with magic.

"I'm afraid these traps will only stop her temporarily. We're going! About march!", ordered Castor

She and the rest of the Not Dead Yet Battlefront started walking through the tunnel, not knowing of all the dangers ahead.
