Transformers Animated: The sparks of friendship

“Ughhhhh…” Optimus let out a groan, just starting to recover from his bizarre experience.

"Prime, are you OK?" Ratchet's voice asked.

"Well Ratchet's OK" Optimus told himself, still unable to see, "but what about the others?"

"Is Prime going to be OK Ratchet?" Bumblebee's voice asked.

"He got hit hard but nothing serious" Ratchet's voice replied.

"My servos are coming online; I think I can open my eyes" Optimus thought. He slowly did so, only to be greeted by a very different place to the Decepticons mine base. He was in a really dense and musty forest, the trees closed in on all sides. A small hint of sunlight shone through the trees. Bumblebee and Ratchet were standing over him while Prowl, Jazz and Bulkhead looked on.

"What happened?" Optimus said getting shakily to his feet, "where are we?"

"I don't know but it's not Detroit" Bulkhead replied.

"Uhh Bulkhead, I think he's got that part" Bumblebee said.

"How did we even get here?" Optimus asked.

"Has to have something to do with that blast of energy from the space bridge" Ratchet replied.

Optimus suddenly noticed that both the Decepticons and the fragment had vanished, "Where are the Decepticons, where's the fragment!?" he asked looking around quickly.

"They're probably somewhere else" Bumblebee replied.

"For now, we need to find out where we are" Prowl cut in.

"Good idea" replied Jazz.

Just as Jazz ended what he was saying a howl echoed through the forest.

Bumblebee jumped, "You guys heard that, right!?" he asked.

"It's coming from over there" Optimus said. Suddenly a pair of lime green eyes appeared from out of the trees and a bad smelling dark green mist accompanied them.

"What is that?" asked Bulkhead, he was becoming as scared as Bumblebee.

"And what is that smell?" asked Bumblebee, covering his nose from the smell.

The pair of eyes was joined by another and another until the Autobots were surrounded.

"Get ready, Autobots" Optimus said, he drew his Ion-axe out again.

One of the creatures stepped forward so the Autobots could see what it really was.

It looked like a wolf except that it's whole body was made of wood. The creature growled and threw itself at Optimus knocking him to the ground.

"Hold on, Prime!" Ratchet cried, he tried using his magnets but they had no effect on the creature.

Bumblebee tried using his stingers, they too had no effect. Annoyed by the stinger blasts the creature turned away from Optimus to face Bumblebee. It raised one of its claws ready to strike.

But before it could attack its claw was sliced off by one of Prowl's bladed mecha throwing stars.

With a look of surprise on its face the creature fell onto its side and broke into pieces.

"Fascinating" Prowl said, looking at the remains of the creature, "it appears to be make entirely out of wood".

"How was the wood being held together?" asked Ratchet

"It was being held together by some sort of energy" Prowl replied.

"Do you think that was the only one?" asked Bumblebee.

"I don't think so" Jazz said. He was right. All the other pairs of eyes moved forward. They, like the first, were also wolves made of living wood.

"Why couldn't it be a Decepticon?" Bumblebee muttered as the creatures closed in on them.

"Leave these to us but do what you can" Optimus said as he, Bulkhead, Prowl and Jazz drew out their weapons and engaged the creatures.

Optimus using his Ion-axe made quick work of the creatures that surrounded him. As did Bulkhead using his wrecking ball arm shattering the creatures that also surrounded him.

Prowl and Jazz worked as a team to take down their attackers. Prowl threw another of his bladed mecha throwing stars to disable the attacking creatures, while Jazz finished them off with his energy chucks.

"Nice team work, Prowl" Optimus said after all the creatures were destroyed.

"Something tells me this isn't over yet" Bulkhead cut in.

"What makes you say that?" Prowl asked,

"That" Bulkhead said, pointing towards the shattered creatures lay. The pieces had began putting themselves back together but not into their isolated wolf forms. All the pieces combined to form a much larger wolf it towered over the Autobots.

"Well this is new" through Optimus,

"What kind of screw-loose planet has creatures that are made of wood and can do that!?" cried Ratchet,

"Whatever planet this is, it definitely isn't earth" Bumblebee replied.

"Stay focused" Jazz said.

"Right, we attack all at once, on three" said Optimus, not that the wood creature could understand him.

"Right, one" Jazz said, readying his energy chucks,

"Two" Prowl said, readying one of his bladed mecha throwing stars,

"Three!" cried Optimus, using his Ion-axe to shattered one of the creature's back legs. While Jazz kept the creature occupied, Prowl shattered the creature's front legs with his bladed throwing star; his weapon cut through the creatures limbs like they were made of butter. Once the creature was disabled, Bulkhead finished it off with a powerful blow from his wrecking ball weapon.

"Well, that was fun" said Bulkhead, after he had shattered the creature.

"Now what do we do?" asked Bumblebee,

"There must be a settlement of some kind on this world" Ratchet replied,

"Right, we should just follow this road" said Jazz, pointing at a dirt path that ran straight ahead of them.

"Right, let's transform and roll out" Optimus said, taking the lead he transformed into his fire truck vehicle mode.

The others transformed and set off behind him.

Twilight Sparkle was on her way to visit her zebra friend Zecora who lived in the thick of the Everfree forest. She was about to enter the forest when some strange objects came zooming towards her. She had never seen objects like these before and they were rocketing straight towards her. Luckily for Twilight, they screeched to a stop in front of her.

"Excuse me" asked the leading object, "my name is Optimus Prime, me and my friends are lost. Can you assist us?"

"Don't be stupid, Prime" a scarlet and white object cut in, "this organic can't possibly talk"

Twilight was about to answer when a huge explosion followed by a equally huge shock wave caught the object's attention. Twilight looked up to massive ring of rainbow colours with a striking trail for rainbow racing across the sky. Twilight knew who it was.

The yellow and white objects seemed to be awestruck,

"That was soooo awesome" the yellow object mumbled,

"You got that right" the white object replied.

The leading object seemed more concerned, "I've never seen organics pilot planes like that" it said,

"Decepticons!" the scarlet and white object replied.

Without another word all of the objects rocketed off following the rainbow trail. Twilight galloped as fast as she could after the objects, she didn't know what the objects were but she knew that they were going to hurt one of her friends.

"We're gaining on it" Jazz said,

"Man, this one's fast" Bumblebee replied, "I bet this Decepticon could give Blurr a run for his energon",

"All that matters is taking it down" Optimus said,

"Right" Prowl replied, "it seems to be slowing down",

"Yeah, and I'm getting some weird readings" Jazz cut in,

"What do mean, Jazz?" asked Optimus,

"My scanner says that this thing is organic" Jazz continued,

"Impossible, no organic can fly without the aid of technology" Ratchet cut in, "that space bridge energy must have messed with your sensors",

"Unless..." Optimus trailed off as the memory of Elita-1 surfaced; Blackarachnia, as she was now called, had been a friend now turned a techorganic enemy, "could this flying organic be Elita?" Optimus through to himself. Then he remembered what Elita had said to him: "It'll be a long time before I ever trust another Autobot. Especially you, Optimus"

"Right" Prowl said, slowing to a stop, "the Decepticon seems to have stopped"

"Right" Optimus replied, snapping back to reality, "Autobots transform and attack!" he commanded,

Optimus and his team transformed to their robot modes and used their weapons on what thought to be a Decepticon.

Their target dodged every attack with ease, then it rocketed straight at Bumblebee, knocking him to the ground.

Now that the target wasn't in the air Optimus could see what he and his team were fighting. It looked like the creature they had run into outside the forest. But this one was different, it was coloured light blue and it had rainbow coloured hair. Optimus had noticed that the other creature had something resembling a horn on its head. The creature that they were fighting had wings. But he didn't have time to think about that, because the rainbow creature was now rocketing towards him.

Optimus held up his Ion-axe but the creature quickly knocked it out of his hand, then with another powerful strike it knocked him unconscious.

"Prime!" cried Ratchet, he ran over to his fallen friend but he to ended up being knocked unconscious by the creature.

Prowl, Jazz, Bulkhead and Bumblebee tried their best to avoid being knocked unconscious by the flying creature. but it wasn't long before the creature manged to knock all four of them unconscious.

"Ughhh ow" Bumblebee out a groan just starting to recover from his experience.

"Rainbow Dash, are you alright?" an unfamiliar female voice broke the silence, ignoring his moan of pain.

"Oh course I am, Twilight" another voice
