Pony Adventures - Story 1: The Corruption

Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor sat together in the castle. "I hope none of the zombies get us." Shining Armor said to Twilight. "Zombies? What?" "Just what I like to call 'em." They heard footsteps behind them, prompting them to turn around. They were glad to see who they saw. It was Luna, with normal eyes. "There you are! I'm glad you aren't corrupted... I can't say the same for..." Small  tears welled up in her eyes. "Luna?" "I can't say the same for... Celestia or Cadence." Shining and Twilight gasped simultaneously. "They're both gone?" "Y-... yeah." They all sat for a moment to take that in. "Listen, we have to get the town out of here! I know of somewhere safe.  In Appaloosa, they were lucky enough to have barely any death bringers." "That's a WAY better name." Shining Armor remarked. "Help me round up the citizens and get them there, ok?" Twilight and Shining nodded both at once, and ran off. Just feet outside of the castle, Twilight found a non-corrupted citizen. "(Lyra) Heartstrings?" The unicorn nodded back at Twilight, who said to her, "I need you to get somewhere safe. Wait in the castle, Luna is there to protect you. I will find more citizens." Without a word, (Lyra) stepped inside the large castle. She decided next to check Fluttershy's cottage. Even if she was a death bringer, she wouldn't kill anyone... right? *** Shining Armor wasn't so lucky. He found a filly, Sweetie Belle. He walked up to her, trying to comfort her. "Um... Sweetie Belle, was it? It's just me. You're ok." Sweetie turned around, revealing a knife. Her eyes were closed. "Uh... is that to defend yourself?" Sweetie laughed. "Sorta." She swung the knife at Shining, making a gash deep in his left front hoof. "Ah! What the hell!?" Sweetie opened her eyes to reveal the green from her eyes was gone, like the other death bringers. A wicked smile took over her face as she deepened the large opening within his hoof. Blood was erupting from where the cut was, his bone had been exposed, as well as other muscles and veins. Shining Armor screamed in pain as he brought his hoof backwards with a swift movement. With his healthy hoof, he ripped the knife from her hand, but didn't make a move. He ran away, as he thought perhaps she could be healed. He was tripping as he ran, but he fell down entirely as he saw what had appeared in front of him.
