Equestrian Warriors

The train slowly stopped at the Crystal Empire's train station. Gumdramon and Twilight were the last ones to leave the train. "Gumdramon, welcome to the Crystal Empire." Twilight said, waving a hoof in the air.

Gumdramon looked at it in awe. "Wow, this place is amazing." Gumdramon started to walk forward until Twilight put a hoof in front of him.

"Wait, I need to tell you a couple of things." She said.

Gumdramon just shrugged. "Sure, what do I need to know." He asked, putting a hand on her shoulder. This action made her blush a little.

"Um, the first thing you need to know is that Princess Cadence is my sister in-law because she married my brother, Shining Armor. Second, my brother is the captain of the royal guards, so don't get on his bad side." Gumdramon gulped at this. "Oh, don't worry about it, he's a pretty nice guy. Just, uh, remember what I said."

Gumdramon nodded his head, sweating a little bit at the thought of her brother. "Don't worry Twilight, I'll be sure not to."

Twilight smiled at him. "Okay, now let's get going." She said, trotting in front of him.

Before Gumdramon walked with her, a thought popped into his head. "Oh boy."

Princess Cadence was pacing around the large double door to her castle, awaiting her sister in-law. Suddenly a knock on the door got her attention. The door handles were engulfed in a light blue aura as the doors slowly opened. In once the doors fully opened, Twilight jumped into the castle, landing in front of Princess Cadence.

"Cadence!" Twilight shouted.

"Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake, clap your hooves and do a little shake." The two alicorns sang, as they did their little dance as well.

"Hey Twilight, I'm so happy to see you again." Princess Cadence said, looking around Twilight for a second. "Hey, where's your 'special' friend?" She asked, saying the word 'special' differently from the other ones in her sentence.

Twilight raised an eyebrow at her and then turned around to see no one behind her. "Hey Gumdramon! You can come out now."

One of Gumdramon's little spikes on his head popped out from behind the door frame. "Um, ok." Gumdramon said. After a few seconds Gumdramon revealed himself to the two alicorn princesses. He slowly walked towards Cadence and extended his right arm towards her. "H-hi, I'm Gumdramon. Twilight's, uh, friend."

Cadence was just standing there, looking back and forth at him and Twilight. She eventually put her left front hoof into his hand. "I-it's very n-nice to meet you." Once their handshake was over she looked back at Twilight. "So, he's the stallion?"

Twilight Just shrugged. "Well technically, he's a creature called a Digimon. He's from another universe." She said, with a nervous smile.

Cadence looked a little confused, but after a few seconds she grew a sly smile. "Well, at least he's a good looker." She said, nudging Twilight.

Twilight's face started turn tomato red. "W-what?" She asked, shocked by Cadence's choice of words.

"So, how long have you two been dating?" She asked Gumdramon.

"Dating?!" Gumdramon and Twilight both screamed in unison, both of them now blushing violently.

Twilight was the first to say something. "We are not dating!"

Cadence raised an eyebrow. "Really? But in your letter it says that he was a 'special' friend."

This made Twilight and Gumdramon blush even more. Once again, Twilight was the first one to speak. "I wrote that he was a 'special' friend, I meant that he wasn't a pony."

Cadence slapped the top of her head with one of her hooves. "Oh! That makes sense. Aw, but you too would have made such a cute couple." She said, giving the two of them a sly smile.

Twilight's face became so red, that it could be a new shade of red. They turned to see what Gumdramon looked like, the only problem was that Gumdramon was not there.

"Where'd he go?" Cadence asked.

Shining Armor was standing in the middle of the Crystal Empire Stadium. He was using his magic to hit a pony dummy with a sword. He put down the sword and walked towards the dummy.

"Hey great job today bud." He laughed a little at his action and started to walked towards the exit. Before he could make it, something knocked him down to the floor.

"Ow!" Shining responded when he hit the ground.

"Man, I-I'm so sorry." Gumdramon said, reaching out a hand to help him up. "Here, let me help you."

"Thanks for the hel..." Before he could finish, Shining Armor saw who was trying to help him up. "A monster!" He shouted, getting back up on his hooves and pointing his horn at him. "Back off!"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Please let me ex..." Before Gumdramon could finish, he was sent flying into the wall.

"Take This!" Shining said as his horn blasted another ball of magical energy at him. Before it hit him, Gumdramon's head shot up and grabbed the ball. "What?" Shining Armor said, shocked by this action.

Gumdramon dislodged himself out of the wall and stared at him, pupils as small as they could be. "So, you wanna fight huh?" He asked, tossing the ball up and down. Suddenly a wicked smile appeared on his face. "Then let's make it even." Just then, Gumdramon devoured the ball of magic. The center of his chest started to become a little pixelated, as the front of the D-Drive started to slowly appear and stopped halfway. The disk on the D-Drive started to spin, but stopped on a white glowing piece. After a second the white glow broke like glass, revealing a light blue piece with Shining Armor's cutie mark instead.

"New 'Battle Mode' unlocked" The D-Drive said in a female voice.

"Activate." Gumdramon said. The D-Drive suddenly transform into the shape of Shining Armor's cutie mark, but with the screen still there with an 'X' on it. Gumdramon put his arms together, forming Shining's shield, but when he separated them they broke into two halves. Once his arms reached his sides, they turned around, making blade like objects. "Gumdramon - S.A." He said, striking a battle ready pose.

Shining Armor looked at him in shock. "How is this possible?" He asked no one in particular. Before they knew it, they were both charging at each other. Gumdramon ready to slash him and Shining using his magic to form a purple colored sword made out of his magic around his horn. Each one of them had death in their eyes, until...

"Stop!" Twilight shouted. The two stopped in mid-air, looking at her. She quickly trotted towards Shining. "Shining Armor, this is Gumdramon. My friend." She told him, holding one of his forelegs.

Shinging Armor looked at her then at Gumdramon and then back to her. "This is the guy your dating?" He asked, surprised.

This caused both Twilight and Gumdramon to blush intensely. "Uh, for the last time we are not dating!" She yelled, obviously being very irritated.

Gumdramon's pupils quickly grew back to their normal size and his body turned back to normal as well. "Oh, I-I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to cause so much trouble. I..." Suddenly, Gumdramon fell to the ground, face first.

"Gumdramon!" Twilight yelled, running towards him. She put her one hoof on his back, lifting him up a little bit. Her other hoof was on his head. "He feels warm. We need to bring him back to the castle."

With a quick nod, Cadence and Shining Armor used their magic to lift him up onto their backs. "Let's go!" Shining said, as they started to run towards the Crystal Castle.

"Please be okay." Twilight thought, a tear starting to form in one of her eyes.
