"Twilight? Spike? It's almost noon, are you gonna get up anytime soon?" Gumdramon shouted through the halls of the castle. "Huh, guess they didn't get much sleep last night." He said, shrugging his shoulders and walking back downstairs. He stopped halfway down, hearing knocking at the front door. "Finally, someone to talk to."
Gumdramon excitedly rushed down the stairs and ran towards the door. Once he opened the door, a blast of magic knocked him to the ground. Rubbing his head in pain, he looked up and saw Princess Luna standing in front of him.
"Hey Luna, I'm glad you didn't bust in, but did you have to blast in?" He asked, laughing at his own joke. His laughter stopped once Luna pointed her horn at him, her horn glowing in her magical aura.
"You beast! I knew there was something wicked about you the first time we met!" She shouted, angrily looking at him.
"First off, calling me a beast is very rude. Secondly, what exactly did I do?" He asked, completely confused.
"Do not act dumb, you know what you have done to the citizens of Ponyville!" She said.
"I'm not acting dumb, I am dumb! Wait, no, that's not what I meant. I mean I actually have no idea what you're talking about." Gumdramon said, standing back up.
"So, thou has not caused the citizens to fall asleep?" Luna asked, calming down.
"Yes, I didn't do anything. But what do you mean by everyone's asleep?"
"Everypony in Ponyville have not awaken from their slumber. Not only that, but I cannot enter their dreams. It is as if they are somewhere else." Luna said, pacing around little bit.
"Hmm, there probably in some sort of pocket-dream" Gumdramon said, scratching his head.
"Wait, what? What is a... pocket-dream?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
"It's a space between dreams, but they can't really be found." He said, grabbing a bag from behind a panel on the wall.
"Why is that?"
"Because they don't really exist. They're actually created by someone, but it takes incredible power to do such a thing."
"Wait, I have made combined dreams in the past. Could those possibly be these pocket-dreams?"
"Pretty much, but we can't go to any of those. Once the creator of the pocket-dream leaves, it gets destroyed." Gumdramon said, taking out several tools and mechanical pieces, slowly building a strange device.
"I see, then whoever has done this must have powerful magic and a vast knowledge of dreams." Luna said. Gumdramon's eyes slowly widened, but he quickly shook his head, slapping himself out of it.
"Is there anyway for you to get us into the pocket-dream?" He said, putting a crystal into the device like it was a battery.
"Yes, I do have a mirror that is in between dreams, but it is a vast space, there is no telling how long it would take to find it." She said, lowering her head in defeat.
"No problem, I just upgraded one of my devices and now we should be able to locate it once we're in the space." He said, pointing at his finished device.
Luna gasped in shock. "Then there is no time to waste!" She shouted, teleporting the both of them to her hall of mirrors.
"Whoa, now that is a way to travel."
"Quickly, we must enter this mirror to enter the space!" She shouted, pointing at the largest mirror in the room. They both entered it and stood in the same spot for a few minutes.
"Come on, just gotta get the right frequency and we should be good." Gumdramon said, turning several dials in different directions.
"Perhaps this device of yours does not work. Maybe we should start searching before-"
"Got it!" Gumdramon shouted, interrupting Luna. "It looks like the pocket-dream is two miles in... that direction." He said, pointing in the same direction as the one on his device.
"Quickly now, we mustn't waste anymore time." Luna said before levitating Gumdramon and flying in the direction of the pocket-dream.
