*5 A.M.*

Fluttershy slowly opened her eyes, coughing a little. She got out of her butterfly sleeping bag and made her way to the door. She suddenly stopped, noticing the piece of paper on the crystal door. She took the paper off the door, reading it.

Dear Everyone Everypony

You've probably noticed that I'm not here when you all wake-up.
I'm sorry, but I couldn't stay for long because I left my stuff at the tree.
If you want to see me again, come to the old castle in the forest.

P.S. Bring more of that ice cream.

Fluttershy placed her hoof on her mouth, shocked by what she had just read. "Why would he want to meet there of all places." She thought, looking at the others and placing the note back on the door. She left the castle and made her way towards the Everfree Forest.

Fluttershy slowly walked through in the center of the Everfree Forest. She looked up, seeing that she was only a few feet away from the Castle of the Two Sisters. She stood still in front of the castle doors, nervous thoughts coursing through her mind.

"Should I really be doing this? Why did I even come here alone?" She asked herself, shacking her head. "N-no! You know why you're here. Gumdramon wanted to see us here. That's why I... came... alone. This probably wasn't a good idea."

She turned around and started walking away, but came to a halt, hearing a noise coming from the castle. Shaking her head, she opened the two large doors of the castle, walking inside. She walked through the eerie castle halls, her movement started to slow down. The sound of music became louder the further she went into the castle. After a few minutes of wondering the castle, she found the source of the music. It was coming from the library. She trotted to the doors, but slowed down as she walked inside the room.

She saw Gumdramon who was standing in the center of the library, looking at the shelves. He slowly walked towards one of the many bookshelves. Looking at the shelf, he reached in and grabbed one of the books. He looked at the title...

"Precious Memories"

Gumdramon slowly opened it, seeing many pictures of happy ponies with quotes under them. He nearly flipped through the entire book, but stopped at the very last page. On the last page was a picture of a filly, colt, stallion, and mare hugging each other. His eyes looked down to the quote. He couldn't help it and read it out loud.

"Today's little moments are tomorrow's precious memories." He said, tears forming in his eyes. Slowly putting the book back, Gumdramon slowly walked to the center of the room. He raised his head, looking at a shattered stained glass window.

Dancing bears, painted wings
Things I almost remember
And a song someone sings
Once upon a December

Gumdramon walked towards another bookshelf close to Fluttershy. She panicked and quickly hid behind the wall. Looking at the shelf, he turned around and started to gently dance around the room.

Someone holds me safe and warm
Horses prance through a silver storm
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory

Far away, long ago
Glowing dim as an ember
Things my heart used to know
Once upon a December

Fluttershy placed a hoof to her mouth, shocked by what she was seeing.

"I-is this really what he thinks?" She whispered to herself.

Someone holds me safe and warm
Horses prance through a silver storm
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory

Far away, long ago
Glowing dim as an ember
Things my heart used to know
Things it yearns to remember

And a song someone sings
Once upon a December

Gumdramon came to a halt, a tear falling down his cheek and onto the floor. Fluttershy slowly walked towards Gumdramon and put a hoof on his shoulder. He turned his head towards her and wiped the tear stream off his cheek.

"I-I didn't know that your memories meant that much to you. B-but like I said, you can always make new ones w-with me... I-I mean us." Fluttershy said, intensely blushing.

Gumdramon smiled at her, new tears forming in his eyes. She was surprised by hug from him, returning his sudden embrace.

"T-thank you Fluttershy." Gumdramon said, his tears now falling down his cheeks.

On the ceiling of the library, the other girls along with Spike and the fillies were watching them through a hole. While the girls 'awed', Spike and Scootaloo made gagging gestures.

"Looks like Fluttershy got herself a very special somepony." Pinkie said, giggling.

"Huh?" Applejack wondered. "I never thought that Fluttershy would be the first one of us ta get a special somepony." She said, folding her hooves.

"Indeed, I always thought that it would be me." She said, putting a hoof to her chest.

Fluttershy was making her way back to her cottage. She walked inside, turning on the light. Once she turned around, she was surprised by seeing her friends.

"W-what are all of you doing here?" Fluttershy asked, very confused.

Pinkie suddenly appeared behind Fluttershy. "Oh, nothing. We're just here to celebrate you finally getting a very special somepony!" Pinkie said, now jumping up and down.

"W-what?" Fluttershy asked, blushing.

"Oh come on Flutters." Rainbow said. "We all know that you like Gumdramon." She said, nudging her.

"W-what are you talking about? I-I don't like Gumdramon in that way." She said, trying to hide her embarrassment.

Rarity walked up to her and wrapped a hoof around her. "Don't try to lie to us. You should know that I have a eye for romance and you two have a thing going on." She said.

"P-please s-stop saying that." She said, tears forming in her eyes.

"Um, I think y'all should stop tea-" Applejack started.

"If you need any help with your relationship with Gum-" Twilight started.

"No!" She yelled, slapping Rarity's hooves off her face. "No! No! No! No! I don't love Gumdramon! I don't! Him and I are just friends and that's all we'll ever be!" She yelled at them, bawling her eyes out. Embarrassed, she ran upstairs and locked herself in her room.

Roseluck walked to her flower stand, and came to a stop noticing that there was a bouquet missing and two bits.

Gumdramon was ran towards the edge of Ponyville, but came to a stop in front of Fluttershy's cottage.

"Ok, you can do this." He said, blushing. "All you have to do is knock on the door, give her the flowers, and tell her that you like her. Piece of cake."

Gumdramon walked up to the door of the mare's cottage. Before he could knock, he heard someone talking inside.

"Is that, Rarity?" He asked himself. Curiosity getting the better of him, he leaned on the door to hear them better.

"No!" Fluttershy's voice yelled. "No! No! No! No! I don't love Gumdramon! I don't! Him and I are just friends and that's all we'll ever be!"

The last part echoed through Gumdramon's mind, his eyes starting to tear up. Instead of crying, he threw the bouquet into the river under the bridge and ran into the Everfree Forest.

After running for a while, Gumdramon sat down at a river, staring into it.

"See, what did I tell you?" A mysterious voice said. "You heard what she said. She will never love you. So how about you just let me take control to ease your pain." Suddenly, Gumdramon's right arm slowly became covered with a black slime.

He looked at his arm and quickly clawed the slime away. "I said no!" He yelled. "For the last time you will never take control of me, no matter how upset or angry I get."

Looking back into the river, his reflection in the water turned into a black and red version of him.

"Come on, you know it's useless to resist. Just say yes." The dark reflection's arm extended towards him from the water.

Gumdramon growled, as his arm extended to grab the reflection's. Suddenly an image of Fluttershy smiling popped in his head.

"I.. said... NO!!!" He yelled, clawing the water.
