Midnight Firefall By Dying Hope www.FimFiction.net Chapter One -    Star Fall walked into her daughter’s room. Midnight was practicing her magic. That sparkling reddish magic of hers was pouring everywhere, her shining crimson red eyes darting from side to side, checking everything and searching for any possible problems. Her hooves were shaking intensely; she was doing hard and trying her best to focus.    Star Fall was really proud of her, even though Midnight was not her blood-related real daughter. She remembered that fateful day, back when she was at the castle of the two sisters, as a female royal guard, where she found her; a little baby unicorn, scared to death. She named her ‘Midnight Firefall’, for her beautiful crimson red eyes. She had never seen such eyes. Strange and Beautiful.   Her mane smelled like bubble gums. It was so wavy like the princesses’ mane, only not flowing. Her amber hooves where soft, but strong; matching her brown mane with a streak of darker brown hair in it.    She had found Midnight’s origins; humans: strange creatures who would walk with two weird long things named ‘Feet’. Midnight, as proven by the evidence, was one of these exotic creatures who lived in a planet names ‘Earth’. She was transformed into a unicorn pony by a mysterious and ancient portal, for Star Fall found her in the same room where they kept the gaping blue portal.    Midnight Firefall would turn back into a human every night and would stay like that until Celestia raises her golden sun. The only time the curse will be broken when she finds her true destiny in this world; which she has not found yet.    Princess Celestia had told them both that nopony shall find out, if they did, there would be war between the worlds and so many would be killed.    “Mom?” Midnight’s innocent voice snapped the black Pegasus mare back to reality. “Is something wrong?”    “Darling,” Star Fall said, with a hard lump in her throat. She did not want to let her know this. She wanted her daughter to be happy. “You… I… Princess Celestia…” She took a deep breath. “Princess Celestia and Princess Luna said that you must leave here and move to a small quiet town named Ponyville. Their highness told it would be better, to live on your own.”    “WHAT?!” Midnight yelled. “WHY?!” Star Fall put her hoof on her only family’s shoulder.    “Look dear, Princess Celestia is the most powerful creature in all over Equestria. We do not have the permission to choose. I’m sorry” Star Fall hugged Midnight tightly.    “I don’t get it…” The unicorn filly stared into space blankly. “Mom…”   “Hmm?” The Pegasus patted the other mare’s mane softly.   “What if they find out who I really am? If they see the monster I truly am?” Midnight was in a panicked state; exploding with ‘what if’s. “What if they send me to the moon? Or ruin my life? Or kill me? What if the war begins? What if-…”    “Midnight! Calm down!” Star Fall sighed “Do it for me.”    Midnight did not say a thing. She just hugged her only family part; whom she loved with every fiber of her being. Star Fall smiled warmly with a lot of sincerity and motherly care at her cute little filly. It was really hard for her to know that her only remained part of her family was moving far away from here, but deep down in her pure heart, she knew that if the Princesses said this way, it would definitely better for  her little bundle of joy. With Midnight’s happiness there were not any other worries for her.   “Midnight,” Star Fall held her daughter closer to her heart. “I love you, my dear daughter.”    “Oh, Mom!” The little unicorn filly giggled cheerfully as hug hugged her mother back. “I love you more that you could ever…” She paused for a moment and then gasped. “IMAGINE!” The older mare kissed her daughter’s forehead. One week later - Ponyville    Midnight jumped out of her bed. It was about time! Finally the school starts today and she would not be alone anymore! She poured herself a glass of milk with her magic and drank it. It was a really hot day. Midnight Firefall sighed. Time to go.    “Hey there!” an unknown unicorn filly waved for her. She did not except ponies to be THIS kind and sociable! She looked at the filly. Her pristine white coat was shining under the bright rays of sun. Her mane was the combination of two shades of blue. Her eyes were a beautiful magenta. She was wearing a kind, big and pretty smile on her face. She had not found her special talent and destiny yet, Midnight could tell by her blank flank. Midnight walked up to her.    “Hey! I’m Midnight Firefall, it’s so nice to meet you!” she held her hoof to her, and the other filly shook it. “I’m Vinyl Scratch,” She said with her mouth full. “Nice to meet you, too” She finally managed to gulp it down.   “I like your name!” Midnight smiled cheerfully. “So, I’m new here, & I was wondering if you could show me the school please?”    “Sure!” Vinyl jumped out of her seat. “Just follow me…”    *Later*    “Hello fillies and colts!” The teacher said with a happy grin. “Today, we have a new student!” She pointed at Midnight.    Midnight got up slowly and walked to the teacher in a shy manner.   “Hello.”  She didn’t know what to say. “I’m Midnight.” After a long silence, she heard the faint sound of clapping. She looked up to see Vinyl and another orange earth filly with blond mane and tail, big emerald green eyes and a hat - which was too large - clapping for her.    The moment Midnight brought her head up, every pony excluding the clapping ones gasped in great surprise and… Fear?!    “Your eyes!” A white unicorn filly with dark purple mane screamed dramatically.    “What’s wrong with you?!” an orange Pegasus shouted.    “Goodness!” a yellow filly covered her mouth.    “You’re a monster!” a rainbow-maned Pegasus filly shouted.    “FREAK OF NATURE!” a light blue Pegasus colt yelled.
