A night to remember, Part 1
"So eager you are, for my blood to spill... Yet to vanquish me, it's my head, you must kill. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA! The headless horseman laughs as his head flies off into the sky and off towards the Everfree forest.
"After that head girls!" Twilight yells as the six begin to give chase to his head, Fluttershy being the slowest one of course, scared by the dangers of the Everfree and how the horseman was immune to her stare.
earlier that day...
"Let's see here... SPIKE, WHERES THE BOOK ON MAGICAL RESIDUE!?" The irritated Twilight Sparkle yelled out from the library, ever since the incident with Tirek happened she couldn't find any of the books until she could sort them properly.
"It's right here Twilight!" Spike called from the ladder he was on whilst holding the book in question, which is taken from his grasp from a magenta aura.
"Alright.. Let's get at-" Twilight was cut off as a loud bang was heard outside. She rushed from the library leaving the book on the table to see something flying towards the town on a horse.
The being riding the horse was wearing armour coloured green and black. Across his back is a sword as sharp as diamonds with an eary green aura around it, but the most startling feature is that from under his helmet, green eyes are visible which look to be on fire.
"Prepare yourselfs, the bells have tolled, Shelter your weak, your young and your old. Each of you shall pay the final sum. CRY for mercy, THE REKONING, HAS COME! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!" The creature laughed as it threw pumpkins which had a flaming tone to them on houses all around Ponyville, setting them ablaze, with the only thing nearby is a water bucket filled to the brim with several smaller buckets near it.
"WHATS GOING ON!?" Twilight screamed as she saw her friends gathering up water and trying to douse the flames, so she ran up and grabbed a bucket herself until she realized she could use magic. Twilight gathered up her magic and went to cast a rain spell to see it negated by a magic field surrounding the town. Growling, Twilight grabs the bucket again and fills it with water, using it to douse flames aswell.
"What is that thing Twi?" Rainbow dash asked as she got back to the bucket filled with water to reload her smaller one, though compact, the little buckets could only do so much.
"I think that's the Headless Horseman..." Twilight said, looking at the bipedal figure on the horse. She noticed the horses hooves on fire and its eyes a flaming green aswell.
After a while of putting the flames out the horseman yells out, The sky is dark, The fire burns, You strive in vain as fates wheel turns! The horseman decends into town now running down the street.
Twilight reads herself to buck the horse he's on until she feels her head burning and an eary voice, Harken ker, Tis you I spurn, NOW FEEL, THE BURN!! twilight screams her head off as she blindly runs about with the flaming pumpkin on her head until she finally manages to get it off. She can see other ponies have the same problem aswell.
The horseman watches from above again as the ponies strive to put out the fires until he realizes something, there's hardly any flames left, so he yells out, The town still burns, A cleansing fire. TIME IS SHORT, ILL SOON RETIRE! After his yell he waits until the fires gone.
Twilight and the others manage to finally put the last fire out, which afterwards they share a massive group hug and start cheering for them selfs on their supposed victory until they hear his voice again.
"My flames have died, left not a spark. I shall send you myself, to the lifeless dark." The horseman yells as he slowly decends into the middle of town and gets off his mount.
Applejack swiftly moves behind him and hits him with a buck to the back, sending blood everywhere as the horseman falls to the ground with his broken back.

A Night To Remember Part 2.
The forest was steadily getting thicker as Twilight and the others ran through it, trying to keep up with the headless horsemans head which sent them into the depths of the foul place.
"Are you sure he's a meanie pants Twilight, maybe he's just lonely!" Pinkie Pie suggested, though she hadn't seen the mess the horseman created in town yet.
"Yes Pinkie... He is evil, he set the town aflame." Twilight awnsered casually until they made it to an open clearing, where stood a flaming pumpkin on a pedestal and a grave behind it. Twilight went up and inspected the pumpkin, as she did the ground shake and a commotion was heard at the grave.
"it is over, your search is done, let fate choose now, the righteous one." The headless horseman said as he galloped from the grave and into the clearing nearby, where he dismounted and ran at Twilight with his sword out and ready. His sword was exiting a green aura from it which gave it a ominous effect.
"Now girls, ATTACK!" Twilight yelled as the elements rushed the Headless Horseman, meting him halfway and engaging in combat with the eary ghost knight of old.
The Headless Horseman grunted slightly as Twilights attack landed on him, but as soon as he was hit by Applejack, he switched over to attacking her instead, as she was pulling the horsemans attention. The Headless Horseman swung his sword at AJ, cutting her front right hoove open with a splitting edge, sharpened by diamonds, drawing a thick amount of blood on her.
Applejack felt the sting of the horsemans blade, slicing into her skin like she would to an apple, the pain seared through her as she delivered a devastating buck to his chest, but was surprised to see him still fighting her, slashing away at her chest.
Twilight was able to charge up a spell to hit the Headless Horseman extremely hard, as she casted it, she used up a lot of her magic, but her target was prime as it hit the horseman in the back, knocking his head off his body.
The Headless horseman recognized this pain to the same of him being decapitated by the Scarlet Crusade, his head floated around the area while his body was attacking all of the ponies attacking him, continuously changing targets. "Get over here you idiot." the Headless horsemans head said to his body, which tried to navigate its way to his head, after taking a third of his health in damage his head flew back onto his body, "Here's my body, fit and pure. NOW YOUR BLACKENED SOULS ILL CURE!" the horseman shouted in his eary rhyme.
Rarity charged up a less powerful spell and hit the horseman with it, landing a critical hit but pulling his attention to her as he ran over and sliced her body with a devastating overhand slash, cutting a straight line on her side and drawing blood on her white coat. Rarity lashed out at the horseman to no evail but to cause more pain to her by the end of his sword.
Fluttershy was landing weak hits on the horseman but he hardly noticed them at all as he was to busy,Ffluttershy however, seeing her friend get injured like that, kicked the horsemans head hard, sending it flying again but not before a flaming pumpkin landed on her head.
"Harken Ker, Tis you I spurn, NOW FEEL, THE BURN!" the horseman yelled as his head was kicked off by the yellow pony and hovered about, while the attacks were focused on his head again. "I'm over here you fool of a body." the horseman called out to his body, who was attacking Fluttershy now. After taking another third of damage he returned to his body. "Heres my body, fit and pure. NOW YOUR BLACKENED SOULS ILL CURE!" the horseman called out.
Rainbow dash landed the first hit to the horseman this time, pulling attention to her as he sent a sword slash at her, which was. Easily avoided due to her flight advantage. Rainbow repeatedly hit the horseman who still couldn't land a single slash onto her.
The Headless Horseman was furious, for he didn't know the scourge could even fly, so he called his minions to join him. "Soldiers arise, Stand and fight. BRING VICTORY AT LAST, TO THIS FALLEN KNIGHT!" the horseman yelled out as he threw four pumpkins around him, which then turned into Sinister Squashlings, who started to fight against the ponies aswell.
Pinkie pie had spent the battle loading her party cannon up with ammo, so when the time was right, she could shoot his head clean off his body. Pinkie took aim, with great caution held fire until she knew the time was right. After a minute, Pinkie fired the cannon, hitting her target dead on, sending his head flying again.
The Headless horseman was getting tired of his head being hit off, now the ponies were attacking it again, but alas, before he could yell out to his body, he lost all of his health. His head flew back onto his body and yelled out one last time. "This end... Have I faced before, what new adventure... Lies in.. Store..." the Headless Horseman said befor going completly limp, losing the last off his life force, The Headless Horseman was dead.
