There once was a group of ponies that worshipped Discord. They shunned harmony and believed that order was a false mindset forced upon Equestria by Princess Celestia. This group of ponies were led by a unicorn whose heart was scorched by chaos. His name, was Heartflame. He called himself the Disciple of Chaos. Heartflame and his cult of divisive believers marched out across Equestria spreading their words of chaos to anypony that was naive enough to listen. Over the next few years they gained over three hundred new members and finally gave themselves an official name. The Followers of Discord. Because of their overwhelming success many ponies began to live in fear that the Followers would do something drastic. And so Princess Celestia banished Heartflame and the Followers from Equestria and told them never to return. Before he left, Heartflame spoke with Celestia saying, "I will return, and when I do, you will regret the day you banished us."
