Chapters "Omygoshomygosh! Rainbow! I'm so excited! Aren't you exited! I've never been so excited in my whole life, well except..." Rainbow put a hoof over Pinkie's mouth to make her stop her chatter.
"Pinkie, I know you're excited, but it's just a hike. I wanna get to the highest depth of Ponyville and test out my flying skills and you're the lucky pony to come with!" said Rainbow.
"Ohhhhhhh! I'm special!" Pinkie jumped up and down over and over again. Pinkie was a very enthusiastic pony with a happy attitude but sometimes her energy gets the best of her. Rainbow Dash and Pinkie headed out on their adventure, they crossed the line where Ponyville stopped and when miles further. It was not a long walk but it was long enough to tire out both Rainbow Dash and Pinkie. Once they arrived at the mountain, they found a spot to put all of their stuff which was at the bottom of the tallest mountain in Equestria, Mt. Coltmore.
"Okay Pinkie. We are going to walk up to the peak of that mountain and stop, okay?"
"Okie Dokie Lokie! But what if we fall? What if a bird poops on our head, what if Spike gets a job!?"
"Calm down and what does that last part have to do with anything? Listen, we're not gonna fall, if one of us did fall, it would be you and I would catch you! SO... come on Pinks! Let's go! It'll be 20% cooler with you up there."
"Okay Dashie! I'm here for you! Let's go up that mountain!" Pinkie and Rainbow Dash traveled up the tall mountain. Luckily, Equestria wasn't big on large landscapes and stuff like that, so the mountain was easy to travel up, it did take a while though.
"Dashie?"
"Yes?"
"This is... very tiring." Pinkie huffed.
"Come on Pinkie, you can make it!"
"You're flying up the mountain though, I'm walking."
"Well..." Rainbow Dash stopped when Pinkie stopped. "Maybe I can carry you." Rainbow Dash picked up Pinkie underneath her stomach. Pinkie was heavier than she thought. Well, she ate a lot of sweets. Once they arrived to the semi-top of the mountain, Rainbow put Pinkie down on a rock. Pinkie sat on the rock.
"Well Pinkie. Here it is! The top of Mt. Coltmore! We made it!"
"Yay!!!!!!!! Okay now do you're little flippy tricks!"
"Ya ready?" Rainbow readied herself. Pinkie jumped up and down with excitement and a very happy, happy, joy, joy face. "Don't make that face though."
"Okay! Go!" Pinkie screamed. Rainbow took off doing spins and turns with big and small loopy-loops and flips to her best ability. She flew through the sky and throughout the winds pressure. Pinkie got up off of the rock to get a closer look at Rainbow Dash. Rainbow flew as high as she could, she then headed towards the ground diagonally as fast and perfect as she could and blasted out a big Sonic Rainboom.
"Yay Dashie!" Suddenly Pinkie felt a sharp pain in her hoof. "Owie! What was that?" Pinkie looked down at her front hoof in pain. She saw a dark colored mask with the glow of green. Pinkie's eyes were so fixed on the mask, that she didn't even realize that Rainbow Dash performed another Sonic Rainbow in front of her eyes.
"You likein' this Pinkie?" Rainbow yelled from the sky. "Pinkie?" Rainbow slowed down and turned around. She headed towards the mountain to Pinkie's location. "Pinkie, I though you were going to watch."
"I was but then I stepped on this mask thing. Look it glows! I wanna put it on!"
"No! You don't know what that'll do to you! It could be... cursed with... magic and... stuff like that!" screamed Rainbow.
"You don't know that! It could be filled with good magic and special goodies for any pony! Can I try it on?"
"No!" Rainbow snatched the mask from Pinkie and put it inside her saddlebag. "Don't touch it. If I found out you touched it, no candy for a day."
"I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT MY CANDY!"
"Then nooooooooo touchies! *sigh* how about we take a break for a day and come back tomorrow?"
"Yep! I think that's a good idea!" Pinkie said as she bounced down the mountain, tripping a couple of times, falling on her face.
"Let me carry you."
Pinkie Pie became more and more curious over the mask in Rainbow's saddlebag and she kept eyeing it the entire way back to Ponyville. Rainbow Dash noticed, but didn't say anything about it. Until,
"Okay, Pinkie. I know you want to know about the mask and stuff but we don't know how it works! I'm going to take it to Twilight and see if she can figure out what it's purpose is."
"Sorry Dashie. I'm just so interested in new things. I really wanna know what it does!" Pinkie said bouncing up and down over and over. Pinkie was more eager than Rainbow thought and it was a little irritating to her but Rainbow denied to tell Pinkie that.
"Pinkie, just be patient. Let's let Twilight observe it and if it's safe... you can play with it."
"Yay! Yay! Yay! Yay! Yay! Yay! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait!" Pinkie ran back to SugarCube corner.
Rainbow Dash sighed and then giggled. "Classic Pinkie Pie."
It was a big party, full of ponies and lots of loud music. Cheese Sandwich was by far the craziest pony out there until Pinkie Pie came. Pinkie Pie jumped in the air and landed right in front of Cheese Sandwich.
"Woah! *gasp* Pinkie Pie! I haven't seen you in forever! Are you sick or something, you're face is green..." said Cheese as he observed Pinkie's face.
"Oh Cheese! It's a wonderful party you got here!" Pinkie Pie climbed on top of Cheese's mane and then back on the ground with a big smirk on her face. "Do you like the new look?"
"What?"
"This wonderful mask I put on! It makes me feel... SMOKIN! Don'tcha think?"
"Yep! Well Pinkie Diane Pie! You're welcome at any party that I throw! Enjoy!"
The party continued for a while and Pinkie was starting to get board even though she loves parties, especially one's thrown by the ponies she knew. But Pinkie wanted to shake it up a bit.
"Hmm, what can I do to make this party a little better... I GOT IT!" Pinkie went to work on a contraption that she thought of. Cheese Sandwich had a large nacho cheese pool, with a diving board. What if the diving board was higher?
"Arrrrrriiiiiiiiibbbbbbaaaaaa!" Pinkie screeched out. Everypony turned to her. "Anypony wanna go up in the Pinkiecoopter?" Pinkie pointed to a big helicopter with pink and green stripes all over. There was room in there for about 10 ponies at a time. Pinkie, as the creator of it, decided to climb into the helicopter first. She put on a helmet and stood on the edge of the helicopter.
"You all ready!?" Pinkie screamed. The ponies all cheered for Pinkie Pie. Cheese Sandwich had a nervous look on his face but continued to watch. Pinkie spread out her arms and jumped out of the 50 foot high up helicopter, about to dive into the nacho pool. She continued to fall and fall and fall, when suddenly a fast blue figure shoot across the air and snatched her. All the ponies gasped.
"What the hay are you thinking!?" said the voice of the blue figure. Pinkie's eyes were closed, when she opened them she saw Rainbow Dash's face.
"Dashie! Way to ruin the stunt!" Pinkie twirled around in Dashie's arms trying to make her let go. As she twirled a green tornado formed around her and made Rainbow Dash drop her.
"Oh no you don't!" Rainbow Dash flew as fast as she could to catch Pinkie and save her from diving into the pool and caught her.
"Rainbow Dash! Why did you..." suddenly Pinkie's eyes popped out of her head to the sight of too many ponies getting into the helicopter. But Rainbow Dash flew with Pinkie Pie back to Ponyville. "Dashie we have to help them!"
"It's a pool, full of nacho cheese, I think they'll survive."
"Then why did you catch me!?"
"Because we need you back in Ponyville!" then Rainbow flew away with Pinkie Pie all the way back to Ponyville. "And are you feeling okay? You look green."
"I'm just fine!" Pinkie Pie then suddenly pulled a big nacho from behind her back and gave it to Rainbow Dash. "Here is a gift from meh to youwa."
"Thanks? Pinkie Pie, we were worried sick about you! You were suppose to plan a party tonight! Like you said earlier! Why didn't you come?"
"Put me down and I'll tell you." Pinkie crossed her arms and turned up her nose.
"No because then you'll just run crazy!"
"That's right!" Then Pinkie Pie dashed out of Rainbow Dashes arms and ran through the Everfree Forest leaving random things in Rainbow Dash's way.
"Take this Dashie!" Pinkie formed a big brick wall in front of Rainbow Dash and then Rainbow ran straight into it and slid down to the ground.
"Where did that even come from?" Rainbow Dash said as she rubbed her head in pain. "Don't question Pinkie Pie logic! How'd you like that Fimfiction readers?
"Pinkie? Pinkamena Diane Pie!"
Then a big figure appeared over Rainbow, it was Pinkie Pie with a bucket. Pinkie slammed the bucket on Rainbow Dash's head and after that came a piano, harp, lyre, bunch of umbrellas and pile of rubble. They all came down and crashed upon Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash recovered from the pile of crap and continued to fly after Pinkie who was running as fast as ever, spinning with big green tornados around her as she ruined the forest with the big tornado. Pinkie then left a big block of ice in front of Rainbow Dash's path, stacked 50 feet high.
"Let it go." Pinkie said as she placed more and more blocks on the ice. Rainbow then smashed through the ice.
"My cheerie amor." Pinkie Pie stopped running. Rainbow Dash followed. Pinkie Pie was all of the sudden dressed in fine french clothing, she put down a large table in front of Rainbow Dash and pulled a chair out of nowhere for her to sit in.
"Sit Rainbow." Pinkie said. She pulled out a Daring Do book. "Read it..." said Pinkie. Rainbow Dash opened the book and a big party canon and trumpet popped out and blew in Rainbow Dash's face. When Pinkie Pie started to run, Rainbow Dash kept on flying. Pinkie Pie approached a bunch of Ponyville security guards at the edge of the forest. They were LOTS of them, everywhere, everyplace, blocking the way out of the forest. They somehow heard about the strange green face mare causing chaos and ruining the Everfree forest and have come to arrest the pony who was responsible.
"Pinkie Pie? But she's an innocent pony!" said one security guard.
"Never underestimate Pinkie Pie!" said another security guard.
Pinkie Pie stopped dead in her tracks. She noticed how dead she was right at that moment. She was gonna be in big trouble. She had to think of something but what?
"Hit it!" Pinkie snapped her hooves and transformed into a crazy spanish dancer. Her clothes were fabulous and she had to maracas in her belt. She took out the maracas and started to dance.

Pinkie danced to the rhythm and hypnotized the security guards to dancing with her. She bounced around everywhere, getting crazy with every step.
"What the hay is going on!?" said Rainbow Dash. Pinkie slid over to Rainbow Dash and spun her around, dancing and shaking the maracas around her head. "This is strangely hypnotizing... and fun! Hit it Pinkie!" Rainbow Dash became hypnotized with all of the other security guards, dancing in a congo line, each guard having their own dance move and way of moving. They moved around with Pinkie and moved where Pinkie moved, when another security guard put a bag over Pinkie's head.
"Hey what's the big idea!?" Then the mask fell off Pinkie's face.

Pinkie VS Angel
"Pinkie Pie get behind my back." whispered Rainbow Dash. "Um... hello guards! My friend Pinkie here didn't mean any harm."
"She destroyed half of the forest!" said the guard that put a bag over Pinkie's head. He had a spanish accent and for some reason he wasn't hypnotized from the music or by Pinkie. The rest of the guards were in a daze still dancing when there was no music on. They were no use. "She's coming with us... I mean me."
"No she's not."
"Oh yes she is!"
"Boy you be trippin!" Rainbow Dash said with an attitude and a funny smirk. "You know I'm right." Rainbow Dash decided to use her little Rainbow Dash attitude.
"Ahem!" Pinkie stepped out from behind Rainbow Dash. "I'd just like to say... bye!" Pinkie picked up Rainbow Dash and the mask and ran. Rainbow flew out of Pinkie's arms. "Do you think he'll go after us?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"He might. But it's only one guard!" Pinkie hid the mask from Rainbow Dash because she enjoyed the fun she just had.
"Dangit!" said the spanish guard.
"You wanna nacho?" said the other guard, still dazed out.
"Get that outta my... actually thank you, I was hungry."
As Pinkie and Rainbow Dash continued to run away from the guards when Pinkie Pie bumped into Fluttershy along the way.
"Oops sorry Fluttershy! Whatcha doing up this late?" said Pinkie with a smile.
"Just taking Angel for a walk, he wanted fresh air so he could feel opened up for a good night sleep." said Fluttershy. Angel was standing next to her taping his foot impatiently.
"Uhh. Fluttershy? Angel looks a little impatient. Shouldn't you be going?" said Pinkie. Angel stopped taping his foot. He looked over at the glowing part in Pinkie's mane.
"Darn evil rabbit..." Rainbow Dash muttered.
"What Rainbow?" said Fluttershy.
"Nothing!" Rainbow folded her arms.
"What are you guys doing here out at night?" Fluttershy asked.
"Just... handling business and things, heh heh." said Rainbow blushing. Angel continued to look at Pinkie's mane. The small glow was starting to freak him out. Suddenly, Angel leaped for Pinkie's fluffy pink mane and grabbed the glowing area and came out with the mask.
"Angel, we don't try to hurt frien... what is that?" Fluttershy said with amazement.
"It's a mask." said Rainbow Dash. Pinkie rubbed her head with her eyes closed. When she opened up her eyes she saw Angel with the mask. Pinkie, being friends with Rarity, and being a very nice person herself, knew about generosity, but she felt this sensation inside of herself that made her want to take the mask back. So she leaped towards Angel to get the mask.
"Woah! That was an awesome pounce!" said Rainbow Dash.
"What's going on!?" said Fluttershy backing up.
Angel jerked fast enough to avoid Pinkie's pounce/leap. Angel then... decided... to put the mask... on. Pinkie stopped in awe. ONLY PINKIE WAS ALLOWED TO PUT THE MASK ON! Angel decided to run out of the forest and head to another place leaving Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy in awe. Rainbow Dash was in 'la-la awesomeness land' while Fluttershy was in 'what the hoopla just happened land'. Angel got out of the forest and started to head towards Sugarcube Corner. Angel ran into the kitchen and blocked up the area he was in so Pinkie couldn't get in.
"GIMME THAT MASK" Pinkie said pushing the door. He eyes were glowing and her mane was flat. (Fimfiction question: Why were her eyes glowing and why was her mane flat?) Pinkie finally pushed open the door. She looked over and saw Angel, face as green as the trees in the Everfree Forest.
(This song will add some suspense and awesomeness to it...)
"ANGEL! Gimme that mask! It's not yours!" Pinkie grabbed some cake from the shelves and held them in her hoof. Angel grabbed cakes also and held them in this small bunny paws. They stared at each other. Pinkie took the first swing. She launched the cake out towards Angel and he dodged it. Pinkie's mouth was open. She has never seen a bunny with such fast reflexes. Pinkie launched another cake and missed, now it was Angel's turn. Angel launched a cake at Pinkie and to his surprise, Pinkie gulped it in one bite. Now Angel's mouth was open. He has never seen a pony with such a big appetite. Angel's eyes started to glow the same way Pinkie's did and a big grin grew upon his face as he eyed Pinkie. It looked like he was giving her the Fluttershy Stare.
"You're pretty fast Angel." Pinkie commented. Pinkie's eyes continued to glow. She was in an unknown trance. Angle launched another cake at Pinkie, Pinkie did the same as she did the first time. Ate it. Angel was making a mistake of throwing cake at Pinkie Pie because of course Pinkie Pie loved sweets. This time Angel through all of the cakes at Pinkie at once. Pinkie ate them all. Angel was out of cake. Instead of cake, Pinkie picked up the cabinet and threw it at Angel. Angel had to act quickly. He leaped up towards the cabinet and punched through it. Pinkie continued to throw other objects at Angel. Angel followed along and missed Pinkie every time because Pinkie was a fast pony. Suddenly, there was a bang at the door and in came Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.
"Oh this is terrifying" said Fluttershy as she curled up.
"This looks awesome, but we might need to stop them." said Rainbow Dash.
"How?"
"By... doing... things..."
"Um, I hate to break it to you Rainbow, but... that doesn't help explain anything." said Fluttershy with a soft sque.
Pinkie took plates and pans and started throwing them at Angel.
"Why is Pinkie doing this? This isn't like Pinkie." Fluttershy asked Rainbow Dash.
"I don't know, she doesn't have the mask on. Her eyes are glowing though."
"She looks mad."
"ANGEL TOOK HER MASK!"
"That's no reason to get mad..."
"Just... you get Angel and I'll get Pinkie." said Rainbow. Rainbow went up to Pinkie and smacked the plates out of her hoofs and then slapped her in the face. Heh, heh. Pinkie snapped out of her little trance. Fluttershy tried to grabbed Angel but was a little scared to get him.
"Um... maybe I can just leave him alone." said Fluttershy as she backed away.
"*sigh* Fluttershy..." Rainbow Dash flew over to Angel and slapped him in the face. The mask fell off his face and fell to the floor. Rainbow Dash picked up the mask. Pinkie ran over to Rainbow Dash and leaped for the mask. Rainbow Dash flew up to the celling and bumped her head on the way but she got the mask away from Pinkie.
"Please Rainbow, I won't go cray-cray again." Pinkie begged.
"Uh, nah. You can't control yourself."
"Pretty please?"
"I'm going to take this to Twilight again because everypony is acting like an Egghead when they put it on." Then Rainbow Dash flew out of Sugarcube Corner and worked her way to the library. Fluttershy, Angel and Pinkie were left standing there.
"So... how ya been Angel?" asked Pinkie. Angel gave Pinkie a look.

Dashing Green
Rainbow Dash flew back towards Twilight's library with the mask in her hooves.
"This is an awesome looking mask." She decided to fly down back to the ground. She looked at the mask. She observed it top to bottom wondering how it made ponies go cray cray when they put it on. She wondered how it felt with it on... she wondered... how... it felt!
"Hmm. Well nopony's here to see me..." She slowly raised to mask up to her face. Then lowered it back down. She sighed.
"SURPRISE! I'M BACK DASHIE!"
"Ah!" The mask flew through the sky out of Rainbow's hooves. "Good one Pinkie! But you better catch the mask!"
"Actually, I was hoping it would fall somewhere else!"
"Where?"
"On you!"
The mask fell back down and landed on Rainbow Dash. As Pinkie Pie was hoping.
"Pinkie! Why did you do that? Just a while ago you wanted the mask all for yourself!" said Fluttershy from behind.
Pinkie Pie turned around. "When?"
"Oooo! It's RD time!" Rainbow Dash said. "Never have I felt so alive!" Then she pulled a scooter out from behind her and added jets to the end of it, following with her hopping onto it. Pinkie and Fluttershy looked at her. "What? It's nice when you learn how to fix up you're ride." Rainbow added. Then she zoomed off on the jet scooter... 20% faster than flying...I had to.
"Come on, Fluttershy! Let's follow Dashie!"
"Oh my. She's going pretty fast Pinkie."
"Come on Fluttershy it's gonna be FUN! Why do you think I scared her?"
"Because-"
"Because Rainbow Dash is already super duper fun, so when she puts on the mask she be a hundred times funner!"
"You mean more fun ?"
"Ah, whatever! Come on let's go!" Pinkie and Fluttershy galloped after Rainbow Dash, until after one minute, Pinkie pulled out her flying contraption and got on followed by Fluttershy who got on behind her. This contraption that Pinkie created (when Gilda came to Ponyville) allowed her to fly high in the sky without wings. Even though Fluttershy was a Pegasus and she could fly, she decided to still hop on the contraption.
"Heh! Fluttershy isn't this fun!?"
"It actually is Pinkie, but how are we going to catch Rainbow Dash?"
"Don't you worry about a thing Fluttershy, Auntie Pinkie's got it covered."
Fluttershy rolled her eyes at that comment. Pinkie pulled out some binoculars and scanned the ground until she spotted a rainbow maned mare down below. "LOOK THERE SHE- Sorry for yelling Flutters- There she is! Right there!"
"Oo! I see her."
"Okay lets-" There was a breaking sound then a small explosion.
"Pinkie what was that?"
"What?"
"That noise!"
"Oh! I had a big breakfast-"
"No I think it came from the machine." Suddenly, Pinkie's flying contraption stopped.
"Uh oh. That can't be good." Said Pinkie. The machine plummeted towards the ground and smashed into smithereens, luckily Pinkie and Fluttershy were still okay.
"Whaddup guys?" said a voice from above them. They looked up, it was Rainbow with her light green face. She pulled out from behind her a big spatula and flipped Pinkie and Fluttershy up onto their hooves.
"Thanks Rainbow!" Pinkie said. "Now if you give me the mask I'll give you Wonderbolts tickets!" Pinkie wondered if that was a good thing to say because it wasn't true.
"Ha! I don't think so. This baby is staying on me and you guys can't stop me." She backed up and pulled out a big pencil.
"Ooo! Huge pencil!" said Pinkie.
"Pinkie, watch out!" said Fluttershy.
Pinkie turned as the pencil Dash had erased her mane. Fluttershy snickered. Pinkie was completely bald and not liking it. Her mane defined who she was.
"Oh no she didnnnnn't!" Pinkie grabbed hold of the pencil. Rainbow shook it up and down with Pinkie on it but Pinkie didn't let go.
"Let go!"
"Nope!" Suddenly, Rainbow Dash shook harder and Pinkie was banged down to the ground. She got up, a little bruised but okay. Pinkie launched at Rainbow Dash and knocked the pencil out of her hooves into her hooves. Rainbow Dash then flew up into the sky, very, very high.
"Nice job Pinkie."
"Thanks Flutters!" Pinkie took the pencil and drew a couple of wings on her back. "You stay here Fluttershy!" Then Pinkie flew up after Rainbow Dash. When she started to catch up to her, she reached for Rainbow's back legs so she could pull her down. Rainbow then pulled out a red blanket and she rolled it up and blew some air out of it. As she blew, bees came out and flew towards Pinkie. After that Rainbow Dash stopped in midair.
"Oh. Oh. What should I do. Should I go help?" said Fluttershy paced back and forth. She looked back up at Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. "You know what, It's about time I face my fears. *Peep*" Fluttershy flew off up to where Rainbow and Pinkie were.

Fluttershy flew up towards Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. To anypony else it would have looked just like a blur of colors going back and forth. Flashes of pink and blue colliding and flashing even brighter before fading. Only Fluttershy knew the real truth. Oh, and Angel Bunny. He also knew. Meanwhile, Pinkie and Dash were going all out in the skies above Ponyville.
“Give me the mask!” Pinkie demanded of Dash.
“Come and get it,” Dash said back with a laugh. “But first, I have a gift for you.”
“ A gift?” Pinkie said, her face going from astonishment to pure joy in less than a second. “I love gifts!”
Rainbow Dash reached into her own mane and pulled out a pie launcher. She loaded a pie into it and fired before Pinkie could react. SPLAT! Pinkie took the pie right to the face. She lapped it up with her tongue in one impressive, yet slightly uneasy looking move.
“Eww! Yuck! Mud pie?!” Pinkie called out. “The only good mud pies are the ones Maud makes, and that's only because they are crunchy!”
“Ah! I forgot my mane is gone,” Pinkie shouted, “Now what am I going to do?”
“Maybe you could try talking to one another,” Fluttershy said. Both ponies looked at her. She was now at their level, but she felt so not on their level. Rainbow Dash had a green glowing face and a wicked smile. Pinkie had no mane and a set of wings that looked like they were drawn by a filly. “Or not. . .”
“HEY!”
The sudden shout from an unknown source startled all of them. Pinkie and Fluttershy both plummeted to the ground. Scratch that, it startled most of them. They survived and found themselves standing in front of none other than Spike and Rarity. What were they doing out so late?
“Hey, what are you doing out so late,” Pinkie Pie asked.
“Nevermind that,” Rarity said, “What in Equestria happened to you?”
“It's a long story that involves a mask that Dashie and I found on Mt. Coltmore and then I put on and then weird things happened. Then Angel had it on and weird things happened, and now Dash has it on and she WON'T GIVE IT BACK!” Pinkie replied.
“Okay,” Rarity said, confused, “So where is Rainbow Dash now?”
It was at that exact moment that Dash crashed down in a swirling mass of green right in the middle of them all. The green faded away and Dash was standing tall amidst the sounds of a pony coughing up a storm of her own. The dust from her grand entrance had covered Rarity from the tip of her nose down to her cutie mark and even a bit further. Only her tail escaped the cascade. Rainbow took one look at her and her expression changed.
“Oh my, Rarity,” Dash said, “You look awful.”
“Whose fault is that, dearie”?
“You know what this means,” Dash said. She turned much to quickly for their eyes to follow and came out with a two oversized sewing needles in her hooves. They were similar to the ones Rarity used, only much bigger. Dash smiled and screamed out, “It's time for an overhaul!”
“Rainbow Dash,” Somepony called out, “Don't you dare take one more step toward her!” Dash turned around to see Twilight walking up to her. Interestingly enough, Applejack was following closely behind.
“Oh, crap. It's the law!” Dash said. She turned back the other way and leaped over Spike and Rarity's heads. They ducked as she soared over the both.
“Freeze!”
Mid air the blue Pegasus got even more blue. Not even a shiver ran down her spine as a layer of ice and frost covered her from head to hoof to tip of her wings.
“Woudya look at that,” Applejack said, “Ah didn't think that would work so well.”
Twilight walked up to the now frozen Rainbow Dash. She was quite confused at the moment, and really torn. On one hoof she really wanted to act like a princess and scold Rainbow Dash. On the other hoof the power of this mask was absolutely amazing and she wanted to study it further for hours and days on end like she used to. Unfortunately, she had to uphold her princessness.
“Rainbow Dash, you and Pinkie Pie have been wreaking havoc all over Ponyville and in the Everfree Forest. What have you to say for yourself?”
Mumble, mumble, mumble.
“Get down here and look at me when you are talking,” Twilight said, “And speak up as well.”
“But you told me to freeze,” Dash said.
“Actually, Applejack said that,” Twilight replied, “But unfreeze and get down here.”
Dash thawed out in a flash and fell to the ground in front of Twilight. She bounced back up in a way that would make Pinkie Pie jealous and looked at Twilight.
“Where is the mask?” Twilight asked.
“I dunno,” Dash replied.
“She's wearing it, Twilight.” Pinkie Pie said.
“I don't believe either of you,” Twilight said.
“Fine,” Dash said and she spun around once again. This time she was wearing a long trench coat and some loose clothes underneath. She grabbed the edges of the coat and flung it open wide. “Search me,” She said to Twilight.
Several minutes later. . .
A pile of randomness lay at their hooves and Twilight was still pulling more and more items out of Dash's many, many pockets. Let's see what she has got now.
“. . . a jack in the box, a rubber ducky, a Jim Carrey movie, a giant pencil that requires two hands to use-”
“I'll take that,” Pinkie said.
“. . . a Party Propelled Grenade launcher-”
“I have a permit for that at Pinkie's house.” Dash said.
“Hey, looky what ah found,” Applejack said, “It's a picture of Princess Celestia wearing socks,”
“What?!?” Twilight called out with such force that her wings actually flared out and smacked the unsuspecting Rainbow Dash in the face. The mask came flying off and landed on the ground a few feet away.
“Oh. My. God.” Dash said in a daze, “What just happened?”
“Oh hey, I found the mask,” Twilight said.
“MY MASK!” A now fully maned and wingless Pinkie cried out as she pounced at Twilight.
“Huh? No, I want it!” Dash said as she leaped for it herself.
“Help me!” Was all Twilight had to say.
Applejack happily leaped into the fray to assist Twilight and Fluttershy reluctantly followed. What ensued was the most chaotic ball of wrestling ponies ever seen this side of Manehatten. Friends crawling all over one another and elbowing and kicking and some were screaming, all trying to get one thing. One small green mask with a slight glow to it. But as it turns out they were not the only ones looking for it.
“I think you have something of mine,” A somewhat familiar voice hissed out.
“Queen Chrysalis?!” The Mane six all said at once.
“Oh, you remember me. I'm touched,” The Queen said mockingly, “Now give me my mask back.”
“Your mask?!” Pinkie shouted, “That's my mask!”
“Give it to me NOW!” Chrysalis roared.
She charged up her green Changeling magic into her her horn and was just about ready to unleash it. Most of the girls took that chance to relinquish their hold of the mask and move out of the way of that blast. Most of them. The only two that didn't were Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. Dash was on top of Pinkie trying to reach the Mask that Pinkie was holding just out of reach.
“Give me the mask,” Rainbow Dash grunted out as tried to lay a hoof on the mask once more.
“Never!” Pinkie replied as she tried to free herself from Rainbow Dash.
“It's mine!” They both said to one another at the same time.
“No, little ponies,” Chrysalis said, “It is min- ACHOO!!!”
The sound of that sneeze echoed through the night. For as Chrysalis's body involuntarily sneezed the magic she had built up was released. Dash was quick to react and darted up into the air to avoid it. Pinkie was a little slower to react. That was mostly due to the fact that she realized the mask was hers as soon as Dash let go. She moved quickly, though and dived behind a conveniently placed cart to avoid the blast.
“Pinkie Pie?” Rainbow Dash asked to the now smoking conveniently placed cart.
A small pink blur flew out the smoke in response. It flipped through the air only to land on Rainbow Dash's back. As it turned out Pinkie managed to put the mask on just in time, or maybe the mask managed to put Pinkie on just in time. Who knows? What was clear to them all was now Pinkie was on Dash's back with a green face and wearing a black suit. A very stylish black suit, hat and all.
“Did you miss me?” Pinkie asked, “Wow, my throat is really dry. Seriously, it's like a desert in there. Can a pony get a drink around here?”
Spike quickly ran up with a glass of water and handed it up to Pinkie. She gladly accepted it and slipped him a hundo as he walked away. Pinkie raised the glass and drank it all down. The water ran through her like, well, water. And Pinkie sprang more holes than a Changeling's leg. The water flowed through her and then out of her. Just like that.
“That's better,” Pinkie said as she looked down to see herself leaking, “Whoa, I guess you didn't miss me. Well, that's that. Back to more serious business.”
Pinkie launched herself off Dash's back and landed between the girls and Queen Chrysalis. She held on to the brim of her hat for a moment and stared at Chrysalis. Chrysalis wasn't sure what to do. She was not expecting this.
“Well, now you have to ask yourself one question,” Pinkie said. She pulled something out from behind her. At first glance it looked like a regular party cannon, but as she held it Chrysalis soon came to realize it was much, much more.
“Do ya feel lucky?” Pinkie asked. Things started to come out from the party cannon. Barrels popped out from nowhere. The main party cannon became longer. Chrysalis saw as rockets and belts of ammunition were sprouting and falling out of seemingly everywhere on this thing.
“Do ya, punk?” Pinkie's weird machine started moving. It started to make noise. Barrels were whirring up and moving. Some were extending even furthers. There were lights flashing and noises being made that the Changeling Queen just didn't understand.
“Retreat!” Chrysalis called out as loud as she could. She took off skyward and her Changelings followed her quickly. Before another minute passed the whole area was clear. Pinkie smiled and hit the trigger to her machine. Several small flags sprang out from numerous barrels.
“Bang,” Pinkie said with a chuckle. She turned to face her friends, but they kept a safe distance away. Pinkie put her weird machine away took a step forward to them.
“Oh, hey, girls,” Discord said as he appeared in front of them in a puff of green smoke. “Is that my mask? I have been looking for that darn thing everywhere.”
Pinkie Pie arrived back at SugarCube corner. She spotted Mrs. Cake with some costumers.
"Oh hi deary! Where have you been?" Mrs. Cake asked sweetly.
"I went on an adventure with Rainbow Dash. We went to Mt. Colmore!"
"Really?"
"Yep." Pinkie walked over next to Mrs. Cake. "Rainbow Dash did all these flying tricks and she went Shoooowww and BACKOW with the Sonic Rainboom and it was awesome! Then we found a random mask laying on top of the hill. It was all glowey and stuff! But Rainbow Dash took it to Twilight to examine or something."
"Oh okay! Nopony got hurt did they?"
"Nope! Rainbow's okay and I'm okay!" Pinkie trotted around and bounced as she talked. She couldn't wait to get a hold of the mask and see what it could do. To satisfy herself until she got the mask back, she went upstairs to see Gummy and cleaned her room even though it was already clean.
"Well, Rainbow. I don't know what it does and I don't really wanna find out." Twilight said as she levitated the mask with her horn.
"Twilight, you always want to find out stuff! You're the eggheadiest egghead I know with a big brain!" Rainbow Dash said. Twilight stared at her for a while and then looked back at the mask.
"Rainbow Dash, this clearly isn't from Ponyville or any part of Equestria! Why would I want to know how it works! I tested it a couple of times, and that's all! It's seems pretty safe..."
"Listen Twilight. Rainbow Dash put her wing around Twilight's shoulder. "You're a Princess now, and clearly you're a Princess for a reason. And that's because you're good at magic and responsible. You should know about stuff like this, so come on... is it safe?... or not?" Rainbow asked.
Twilight paused for a while. "Rainbow Dash, I get what you're saying. But why do you want it so badly?"
"It's for Pinkie. Pinkie wanted it and she found it so it's hers." Rainbow gave Twilight and grin and Twilight shot a look back at Rainbow Dash. Twilight then continued to stare at the mask, turning it and observing it's parts, through and through. Rainbow kept smiling at Twilight that soon began to fade.
"Okay. Here it is. If anything bad happens, tell me." Twilight handed the mask to Rainbow Dash.
"Thanks Twilight! You're aweeeeeeessssssooooooooommmmmmmmeeeeeeeee." Rainbow Dash flew out with the mask.
Pinkie Pie was walking with Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. Fluttershy was on her way to get Angel something he has wanted for a long time... a cake. Don't ask why he wants it because he's not gonna eat it.
"So Fluttershy?" said Rainbow Dash
"Yes Rainbow?"
"How would you react if Big Mac punched you in the face?"
"Oh my. I...um.... I don't. Can I have another question?" Fluttershy said sinking down to the ground.
"Nope answer that one!"
"I guess, I'll be upset."
"Oh! Oh! My turn!" said Pinkie jumping up and down. "Fluttershy..."
"Why does everypony pick me?"
"How would you react if... the sky started falling!?"
"I'll be upset."
"Fluttershy every single question we asked you, you said I'll be upset." Rainbow Dash said.
"Um, I gotta go!" Fluttershy ran towards the market leaving Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie in the distance, alone. Then Pinkie flinched.
"Oh yeah, I just remembered! I needed to help Mrs. Cake with the shop today! Bye Dashie!" Pinkie zoomed off.
"Bye Pinkie!"
"I'm here Mrs. Cake! You said you needed help?" Pinkie asked. The entire shop was filled up with ponies a while ago and Mrs. Cake need help with cleaning up. Mrs. Cake popped her head from behind the counter.
"Oh hi Pinkie! I actually got it all together dearie. But thanks."
"I'm sorry! Did I get here to late?"
"No actually, everypony chimed in a cleaned up for me. They realized how messy it was."
"Oh, Okay well good night!"
"Good night Pinkie!"
Pinkie Pie ran up the stairs and ran into her room. She wasn't all that tired but she was feeling really happy as always. She fed Gummy, played with him for a while and then started to get tired. "Well Gummy, it's time to go to bed!" Pinkie started to get ready for bed and once everything was in order, she passed the mask that was laying on her dresser. She stared at it and picked it up with her hooves. She started to slowly move it to her face. Once it was an inch from her face, it started to pull on her skin.
"Woah!" Pinkie pulled it away. "This seems fun..." Pinkie moved it more and more towards her face and put...it...on. It grabbed on to her face and started to wrap around the back of her head, not including her mane. She started to spin and twirl all around the room bumping against everything around her and then she stopped. Her face was as green as the glowing mask itself.
"Smokin'!"
Pinkie Pie ran all around Ponyville searching for a party to spin up. She went to different places all around Ponyville: Sweet Apple Acres and she even left to go to Cloudsdale. Pinkie Pie seemed like she was high on sugar. Her face was a full green color and not it's normal Pink. Suddenly she saw bright lights in the distance.
"A PARTY!" Pinkie zoomed at 100 miles an hour towards the lights until she found a group of ponies. Most ponies from Ponyville. Then she spotted a familiar yellowish orange pony with a curly brown mane. Cheese Sandwich.
