Darkly Dreaming

I turned back around, sleep not registering in my head. There to meet me was a cup of water, no one else. The half bred lie I came up with worked, my needs for hydration supplied and silence around me. I took the moment to make use of my surroundings, which were quite bland to be honest. Television in the top left playing some drama about a bald stallion making drugs for some reason (I didn't pay attention), Heart monitor, a desk, on the desk was the water, aseperate bed with a yellow mare hiding under the covers.

I noticed a dressar next to me, on the desk was three books, remote control to call the nurse, a lamp, pencils, and a quill. So they still use quills? I would have thought they would invent the internet while I was asleep or something, that would make my life easier if I could look up were I am right now. Hoofing through the books given to me, they were adventure novels about a courageous made going through a jungle while being shot at by both Indians and rival Billionaires. Seems like the first chapter was rushed, cheesy dialogue, certainly not my Citizen Kane.

I tossed the books back on the desk, they were all the same with just different settings and treasures. There was nothing interesting going on in the books, maybe this place has news? Since the shaking Mare wasn't watching this, I took the remote and studied it. A large button would have called the Nurse back into the room, I turned it over and noticed a scroll. I rolled it down and I was on Channel Seven, if I recall from my dreams; the news should be on channels one through four.

Deep concentration, I wanted to get to the news before the Nurse came back. I don't know why, but I have always been sketchy about nurses. It could have something to do with my first kill ever, which was a nurse killing her victims by overdosing them with morphine. It was sloppy, many mistakes... Am I sketchy about the nurse, or the chilling realization that my entire memories were me of a... Human. Harking back into that book, humans were that of a mythical being. They roamed this planet centuries ago...

Was that life a lie? She said I was in a coma...

I... Was dreaming?

I leaned back and gave a hefty sigh, pressure starting to build in my eyes. The constant hammering of those questions became a major mindset for me to introduce to my freshly awoken brain. So everything I knew; all the things Harry Morgan taught me, the Code, Debra, the killings, the Bay Harbour Butcher, and most of all... Me.

My life was a dream, a horror sleep I undertook. I tool the life of many, and actually enjoyed it. Guilt was a main problem in the supposed dream, if I was to take the life of an innocent; major consequences from The Dark Passenger would take a huge major out of my blackened heart. Do I even have the right to say I have a blackened heart? Everything I did was dreams... Those innocent deaths was not my fault!

However...

I have nothing to live for, if I had any realitives, they would have forgotten about me or something. Even then, if I tell anyone about these dreams; immediately I would be thrown into the insane asylum! Conspiracy of murder is no fun when dealing with at court, especially if my fucking name is Darkly Dreams.

I remembered my hooves were still on the remote, the channel finally stopped.

"You are watching Channel Two, of Equstria Daily! As of now, recent act of violence has risen as the stock market hit it's altime low.
