//-------------------------------------------------------// Darkly Dream's Passenger -by Terminal Stage Three- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Darkly Themed Crescendo //-------------------------------------------------------// Darkly Themed Crescendo Dexter Morgan Swiftly and silently, a crescendo was reached to a mezzo piano. The bright pale moon illuminated the drops of rain falling from the sky, the full moon was visible through the clouds that hung over heads like hanging corpse ment for a psycopath's Christmas decorations. Rain drenched my hair, the ovened humidity baked me, and above me was a sceptical version of the Rite of Spring. Loud and clashing, my nerves were near agitated. The need almost rushing through like a giant water pistol, but calm I remain. The lightning - a sharp shade of blue and titanium white - claimed the sky for it's own by streaking across it in a split second. During the split second, I swore the blade bading me welcome as it glinted and reflected the unwanted light. The light momentarily casted me with own version of a shadow, as if the lightswitch flickered on then off just to spite me. Fuck with Dexter Day, and now Mother Nature is celebrating! Thunder proceeded to follow, successfully shaking the place's window and my teeth. The void I call my heart rolled, lurched, and buzzed with each of the god forbidden vibration from the bass of nature. Antipation was the fuel for the fire of suppressed anxiety, the stressing felt bliss and did wonders for me. My hearing acute, eyes tones, nostrils flared, tongue already coursing throughout my pearly white row of teeth still shaken by thunder. My chest felt heavier as the needless storm raged on, damning me to a riskful position of being suspected of foul play. Newfound anxiety blasted through me as I discovered sometimes I might be late to the meeting with a higher power, a being greater than I had a chance of ever being... the blade that has been glinting in the moonlight was glaring me in the eye, nearly causing me to swerve off of the correct side of the road. The road, both sides, were freshly placed down. Limited access through the street was just what I needed, orange clad workers standing around a overwieght foreman holding a large piece of paper completely pointless size. I had to drive slower because they had to take their sweetening time moving beside my car with a barrel of powdered cement, I groaned and pinched my eyebrow. I am going to be so fucking late to the rain-check, I don't have time to deal with this nonsense. There, right there I felt him. The presence I awaited for, the feeling of coldness and pressure building behind my eyelids. The vice slowly squeezing my temples like a lemon going through a electric, automatic juicer. The shortness of breath plaguing my lungs, my breathing increased drastically; my head became dizzy with each breath that I took. The ringing building up in my ear blocked out the thumps and taps on top of my vehicle, the rain turned into a more reddish color. His cold hands grinded against mine, gripping the wheel with vigor. The Dark Passenger whispered sweet nothings into the speakers of my car, I knew what he wanted. There was a worker in front of our car, directing cars to avoid harming everyone else. We watched him point at our car, and we itched to floor the acceleration. The worker gave a signal for us to move forward and out of the working zone; I ignored the influence of The Dark Passenger  and drove past him peacefully. Laughing quietly, I turned on the radio once more. For I turned it off when a classical piece took a turn for unfavor measurement, I turned it to the rock station. The sound of the bass guitar can sometimes sooth the Need momentarily, but never for long. The Need has to be fufilled sooner or later, it's like a unstable chemical reaction if pure sodium chloride in water. Like baking powder in vinegar, I felt myself bubble with a unpleasant flare shooting in my head. No... This wasn't the Need. I never feel flares shooting in my head, yes the Need is a uncomfortable position to be in, but never this much. This feeling hurts, like I've been stabbed in the brain with a cheap dollar store pen multiple times. My teeth felt like they were jumping out of my mouth, or being shaved on a medieval stone grinding. I took a hand off of the wheel to hold my head, my left eye was starting to fill up with pressure and pulsed with every brain wave and heartbeat combined. Clicking off the radio, I noticed everything outside of the car was no longer visible clearly. The outaide was purely blur, so I thought I stepped on the acceleration. I looked at the speed dial and gave a slight munt of confusion when the red hand was at zero, signaling me that I was at a stop. Looking back outside it was still dark, rain was waning tremendously and the lightning and thunder silenced. Confusion rang through me as I exited the car and slammed it behind me, the sole of my shoes wet from puddles I made my way towards the building in front of me. The Police Headquarters, I had to get my forensic field kit for a contender to fall through the law and onto my table. I took a breath, a pulsing headache pulsing through my frontal lobe. My left eye was still pressured, my right eye started to feel inflamed. My right eye was blinded by tears and unyielding heat covered a portion of the eye, this is not part of the Need. There is certainly something wrong with me... I didn't feel it, but I fell. Swiftly and silently, a crescendo was reached to a mezzo piano. Darkly Dreams Panic seized me, every portion of my body paralyzed with sleep. A Tube filled my mouth, pushing air into my body. I started choking when I regained feeling in my lungs, my lungs being forced to move by itself in a dreadful manner.  Tubes were all over me, I couldn't see them but I felt them. My vision was not yet restored, I shakily lifted a limb and removed whatever was covering my eyes. A sharp gasp, feminine, shot out from beside me. I turned my head hastily, still slow, and noticed a white nurse with blond hair and tail. Her hat adorning her head was pearly white with a crimson cross was the dead giveaway. She was a horse... Pony. She was a mare, this didn't shock me; I have no idea why it didn't. The Nurse quickly reached over and took out the tube from my mouth, finally I could close my mouth and feel my tongue. My mouth was caked with rough spotches, presumably from not forming any saliva. I felt slight numbness in my hind legs, I moved my eyes frantically. My panic haven't waned at all, I was still in a rush to find out were I am and the time. I took a breath finally and sat up, feeling the pain carding away from my body. I felt rejuvenated, like I took a ten minute nap. My ears were still ringing, so I yawned audiobly and streched briefly before realizing how much my mouth was dry. I turned to the nurse and smiled sleepily, who was watching my awakening with a wide-eyed expression. The nurse then started to check my head, pointing a flashlight into my irises, checking my ears, popsicle stick iny mouth. She wrote down into her clipboard and looked back at me with a congratulated smile. "Welcome Equstria, you've been asleep for a while!" "Were can I get a glass of water?" "Y-what? You aren't going to question what happened?" "No, just water would be nice thank you!" Tongue in cheek, I rolled over to my side and closed my eyes. First nap since being awake for... Eh number of years. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chilly Air, Crispy Blood //-------------------------------------------------------// Chilly Air, Crispy Blood Darkly Dreaming I turned back around, sleep not registering in my head. There to meet me was a cup of water, no one else. The half bred lie I came up with worked, my needs for hydration supplied and silence around me. I took the moment to make use of my surroundings, which were quite bland to be honest. Television in the top left playing some drama about a bald stallion making drugs for some reason (I didn't pay attention), Heart monitor, a desk, on the desk was the water, aseperate bed with a yellow mare hiding under the covers. I noticed a dressar next to me, on the desk was three books, remote control to call the nurse, a lamp, pencils, and a quill. So they still use quills? I would have thought they would invent the internet while I was asleep or something, that would make my life easier if I could look up were I am right now. Hoofing through the books given to me, they were adventure novels about a courageous made going through a jungle while being shot at by both Indians and rival Billionaires. Seems like the first chapter was rushed, cheesy dialogue, certainly not my Citizen Kane. I tossed the books back on the desk, they were all the same with just different settings and treasures. There was nothing interesting going on in the books, maybe this place has news? Since the shaking Mare wasn't watching this, I took the remote and studied it. A large button would have called the Nurse back into the room, I turned it over and noticed a scroll. I rolled it down and I was on Channel Seven, if I recall from my dreams; the news should be on channels one through four. Deep concentration, I wanted to get to the news before the Nurse came back. I don't know why, but I have always been sketchy about nurses. It could have something to do with my first kill ever, which was a nurse killing her victims by overdosing them with morphine. It was sloppy, many mistakes... Am I sketchy about the nurse, or the chilling realization that my entire memories were me of a... Human. Harking back into that book, humans were that of a mythical being. They roamed this planet centuries ago... Was that life a lie? She said I was in a coma... I... Was dreaming? I leaned back and gave a hefty sigh, pressure starting to build in my eyes. The constant hammering of those questions became a major mindset for me to introduce to my freshly awoken brain. So everything I knew; all the things Harry Morgan taught me, the Code, Debra, the killings, the Bay Harbour Butcher, and most of all... Me. My life was a dream, a horror sleep I undertook. I tool the life of many, and actually enjoyed it. Guilt was a main problem in the supposed dream, if I was to take the life of an innocent; major consequences from The Dark Passenger would take a huge major out of my blackened heart. Do I even have the right to say I have a blackened heart? Everything I did was dreams... Those innocent deaths was not my fault! However... I have nothing to live for, if I had any realitives, they would have forgotten about me or something. Even then, if I tell anyone about these dreams; immediately I would be thrown into the insane asylum! Conspiracy of murder is no fun when dealing with at court, especially if my fucking name is Darkly Dreams. I remembered my hooves were still on the remote, the channel finally stopped. "You are watching Channel Two, of Equstria Daily! As of now, recent act of violence has risen as the stock market hit it's altime low. Riot Acts has forced Canterlot into Marshal Law until the situation is dealt with by the newly enforced Official Metro Police Units of the Law for the Safety of the Public or known as Operation O.M.P.U.L.S. of The Public. Breaking news! The only survivor of the Zed Zipllin has awoken from a ten year long coma that costed him his adolcent life! More on that after the following messages from our sponsers!" "God fucking dammit! No privacy what soever?!
