Twi chapter 1 – Feels like magic

I rode my bike down the road, Spike my bunny sat in the basket. I loved going to the park on my bike, it was just so relaxing.

"Twilight, say hello to your mother for me." A man called

"Will do Mr. Genero, see you later." I waved to him, everyone in this town was so nice. Everyone got along. I reached the park, hopping off my bike, I leant it against a tree. Spike jumped out and hopped around. "Go find an acorn Spike and I'll toss it around with you.” He hops off, I sit down and take a bit from an apple. Spike ran back to me, almost screaming "What? Did you see one of those scary squirrels again?" I couldn’t help but smirk at the little rabbit, He nodded and wanted me to follow "All right, I'll come and see." I got up and followed him, I hid behind a tree and gasped, A girl with gold hair and fairy wings was fighting a giant.

"Back Ghoul!" The girl growled, she kicked a ghoul away. I watched amazed, she was a fairy! "Rising Sun Burst!" a bright light destroyed the ghouls, But I see more monsters in the shadows, a monster growled

“Whoa." I gasped

"Take that!" The fairy attacked the creature again

"We can't both be seeing things can we?" I looked at Spike, he was shaking, and ends up fainting

"Solar Wind Blast!" The monsters were all knocked back. A big monster grabs one of the ghouls and comes out of the shadows. "News flash Mr. Hideous. The power of Solaria is so gonna flatten you." The big monster comes out of the shadows, I gasped, and ogre!

"You're the one who's gonna get flattened!" The ogre growled, knocking the fairy back

"That's gotta hurt." I winced, the ogre and the Ghouls surrounded the fairy.

The ogre laughs” You're finished little fairy girl” ‘Oh no!’ “Now Ghouls, BRING ME HER SCEPTER!" The ghouls grabbed the fairy.

"I'm warning you! You'll never get away with this!" The fairy growled, he voice muffled

"I think I just did.”the ogre laughs and grabs the sceptre “Your sceptre’s ours! “ He walks up to the fairy and gets in her face “and you're history."

"Leave her alone! Come get me!” I froze “Wait, did I just say that?"

The orge gave a growling laugh “you sure did." I gasped as the ogre grabbed me, I tried to get out of his grip "You should learn to mind your own business."

"LEEEET GOOOOOO!" I yelled, Suddenly power burst out of me, forcing the ogre to let me go, I landing on my feet. Ghouls were coming after me. "Get back!" I unknowingly created a barrier that repels the ghouls."What just happened? How'd I do that?" I looked at my hands. I turned and saw Spike doing a boxing stance, He turned and saw a ghoul, he shrank in fear. I went over and tapped the ghoul on the shoulder "Hey ghoul." The ghoul turned around."Take off!" I batted it with a stick. It explodes when it hit a tree.

"Wow, you've got winx, girl! Major winx!" The fairy grinned

"What? Me? What do you mean?" I asked, looking at her in surprise

"Laugh all you want, fashion fiasco, you're going down!" The fairy turned to the ogre, and growled she blasted the ogre. "I suggest you like get out of our realm, now." The ghoul close in, I began to wonder if they understood what backing down was.

"Watch it." I warned the fairy. The ghouls leapt, but the fairy uses a major attack and knocks them out. She twirls her sceptre, Spike imitates her and notices a ghoul and screams. A ghouls grabs my leg. "Get off!" I kicked it off, it ripped part of my trouser leg off and then went back to the ogre.

"We'll meet again Princess Stella." The ogre clapped his hand and he and the ghouls vanished

"Ew, I can't say I'm looking forward to that." She grimaced, she faints and changes into a normal looking girl, without wings.

"Oh no! Are you ok? We'd better take her home, she needs major help." I gasped, looking at Spike, who nodded…

I lay in bed, asleep.

“Rise and shine princess, a beautiful day a waits. You know, that used to be your favourite book, you used to pretend that you were a fairy; you could do it for hours.” Mom woke me “ So who's the girl downstairs who's fast asleep… in the guest room?

“Ah, so it wasn't a dream. And she's still asleep? Good. Uh, she's…Wanda's cousin... and she's visiting from far away. Don't wake her up, OK mom?” I jumped up, and quickly changed into clean clothes.

“Come on downstairs for breakfast!” Mom said, I sighed and looked at Spike, who was still asleep. At least one of us could sleep.

“ Hey Twilight... today's the day we're gonna clean up the garage.” Dad said, once I finally got downstairs

“ C'mon Dad, I have lots of other stuff I have to do, lots of important stuff!” I sighed, looking at him pleadingly.

Dad looked at me “What sort of stuff are you talking about?

I sighed, this was going to be weird…” Do you remember when I was into Fairies and Witches dad?”

Dad laughed “Of course I do. You were so cute, always pretending to know magic.”

“Well, here's the thing…” I began

“…if you knew magic, you could just wave a wand and the garage would clean itself!” Dad grinned

“ Well that's kinda… the thing that I wanted to talk to you about. You know my friend, the one that's asleep in the guest room?” I asked

“Oh just give her a break honey; she wants to spend the day with her friend!” Mom smiled

“ OK, you get the groceries and you're free for the rest of the day!” Dad said

“You guys are the best! Thank you!” I hugged then and went to get the groceries.

I was riding back from the shop, Spike sat with the shopping. "I haven't felt any powers today. I sure hope they didn't wear off." I sighed

"Hey Twilight. Isn't it time to sell that two-wheeled relic to the junk pile?" I glared at the girl who had spoken, Mitzi.

"There's nothing wrong with this bike. My dad bought it for me." I growled

"Oh you poor girl. Of course I don't mean poor as in not rich, even though that is what you are." Mitzi laughed, I glared at her angrily, Spike gives Mitzi the raspberry. Mitzi turned to some guys "Hey fellas, careful with my scooter. Hmph, it's brand new you know."

"Well, see you later Mitzi. If I do have powers Spike, remind me to turn her into a monkey." I whispered as I rode off.

Dad was pacing "So, she's been asleep for 20 hours because she's a fairy? Is that like a goth or something?" I sighed, I had explained everything, but just as I had guessed, Dad didn’t believe me.

"I'm talking real fairy dad with a sceptre, magic powers and fluttering wings. She's amazing." I told him

"You must be running a very high fever. I think we should call Dr. Silverman." Dad said

"Hey. Good morning." Stella , the fairy sat up.

"It's evening hun. Are you all right?" Mom asked her

"Uhhh. Fine now, thanks to this girl right here." Stella smiled

"Oh, it's nothing." I blushed happily.

"My name's Stella." She introduced herself

"Hey there Stella, my name's Twilight." I grinned

"Let's call your parents now shall we?" Mom said

"I'm afraid that's like, so way, easier said than done. I mean, let's face it. They live like six whole realms away, in a kingdom called Solaria. I was on my way to the Alfea school, you know to continue my magic training and --" Stella said

Dad sighed "Oh boy, oh boy. I'm contacting Dr. Silverman. Maybe he can explain why the two of you, are seeing things that aren't there." He picked up the phone, Stella smirked and turned the phone into a carrot and lettuce. Dad was shocked

Stella folded her arms "You still think we're out of our gourds?"

"Wow that was awesome." I gasped in admiration

Stella turned and smiled at me "You're the one who's majorly awesome Twilight When this Ogre attacked me, she gave him an energy blast that kicked his booty into another dimension."

I sighed "It's true. But I don't know how I did it."

"it's like I told you yesrteday Bloom, you're loaded with magic." Stella in a matter-of-factly tone

"Me?" I questioned, it was hard to believe, but it would explained how I was able to defeat a big ogre.

Stella suddenly gasped "Hey, I just got a brainstorm. You should go to Alfea with me. It's like so far and away the best school in a whole eight-realm area."

"Hold it! My daughter's not going to another realm." Dad looked horrified at the idea. Stella and I looked at each other.

I took Stella to my room, she looked impressed “ Room Twilight, wow. You should totally take it to Alfea. A quick packing spell and it'll fit in a handbag."

"Stella, I don't think I'm going to Alfea." I sighed

"Huh?" Stella looked at me

"I don't think I have powers anymore. I mean I know I fought that ogre in the park but now--" I began

Stella patted my arm "Trust me Twilight, someone with magic like you have doesn't lose their powers. They're just rusty form sitting unused for so long."

I saw my fairy book "Do you think I'm like the girl in that book?"

Stella picked it up and flicked through the pages "Hmmm, let's see... kinda, but this book was written by humans. You're so much more cooler than this, and more fashionable!"

I began to feel excited "Wow, I can't believe I really do know magic! And I have, what did you call it, winx?"

"Your magic's always been inside you. It's like my fairy godmother used to say: sometimes you just need an ogre to attack you to find out what you're really made of! Now try this. It's a simple matter merge exercise." Stella merges all the pencils in my pencil holder into one big pencil. "Ok, you give it a shot. Put them back how they were." I tried but failed. "Come on, try again." I tried again but with the same result..

"I don't feel anything." I sighed

"You just need some practice Twilight. It's actually no biggie. That's why you have to come with me to Alfea." Stella turns the big pencil back into little pencils. "Before long, you'll be zapping ogre's left and right."

"So where is it." I asked

"Well, It's sort of in a parallel dimension. You go to the inner realm of the enchanted ring and then you... Look why don't you come with me and I'll show it to you." Stella said Stella pulls out a postcard of Alfea, and casually tosses it on the ground. The postcard then expands in size. "This is an express portal. Come on, it's cool." Stella steps on the postcard and sinks into the picture.: "Now follow me."

I stepped on to the postcard "Ahhhhh." I gasped as I began to sink into it.

"Stella, this feels really weird." I said

"Don't worry, almost no one gets lost between dimensions." I rolled my eyes, I guess she was trying to be helpful. Soon we stood in front of a school "Well there it is, Twilight! The famous Alfea castle!"

"So what exactly goes on here?" I asked

Stella created some picture to show me what Alfea was like "The best and most fabulous come from all over the universe to perfect their powers. Most are princesses like moi, but we also have pixies and Gwyllians, and get this, we're only one enchanted forest away from the Red Fountain School for Heroics and Bravery. It's full of hunks. But we're also just down the lagoon from the creepiest place in the entire realm, the Cloudtower School for Witches." The pictures ended

"Wow, this is a really big decision." I said, looking at the school.

"To help you make it, I invited some of the H & B boys over to your house." Stella grinned

"The hero guys are coming to my house? When?" I gasped

"Pretty soon, so let's get going." Stella jump just through the portal, I quickly followed.

There were crashes from downstairs. We rushed down to see the ogre and ghouls again, but this time with a troll!

"Turn around, sunshine." Stella transformed as the ogre asked where we were. The ogre turned

"It's them!" he growled

"I guess someone didn't learn their lesson. Sun Power!" Stella attacked the ogre, Stella then kicks the Troll.

"Are you just gonna stand there and let her kick your butt?" The ogre yelled

"Me mad." The troll roared

"Then do something about it tall, blue and gruesome." Stella mocked, I joined her “Twilight, I'll handle the two gross-outs. You take care of the ghouls."7

"How?" I asked

"Just do something." Stella told me. I get the ghouls attention and make them chase me a Spike.

I heard a strange blast from inside "Nice little poochies, roll over?" I told the ghouls, it was a stupid idea. The ogre was blasted out the door and crushes his own ghouls. "Good one Stella." I grinned

Stella was thrown out of a window, I rushed over to her. The Troll exits the house and approaches me and Stella

"What do we do?" I asked

"Hey Princess Stella, I hope your friend's the pretty one in the blue pants." A guy said

"Yeah, and not this ugly guy on a leash here." Another added

"Ditto that." A third guy agreed

"All right. I suggest a three-pronged rescue op." The first boy said

The second boy told his friends "Forget that, I got this puppy wrapped up all by myself."

"Dude, one summer at a swashbuckler camp doesn't mean you get to go solo on a troll." A fourth guy sighed, leaning on a sword. The troll threw the second over his shoulder. "I rest my case."He lands between me and Stella. The Troll approaches the first boy, he was good looking with blonde hair.

"Stay behind me." He said, he uses a Shield and the troll bashes it. "Hey guys, what did we learn about battling trolls?"

"Well..." the fourth guy smashed his sword into the ground "Smash 'em I think."The force creates a fissure splitting the ground between the troll's feet.

"No Sky, you take out their feet." The third guy correct his friend. he usesa blaster and takes out the ground below the troll's feet. The Troll falls in. "All right."

"Good one Timmy. Way to go." The fourth guy nodded

The first guy grinned "Good thing you aced how to battle forest creatures Timmy."

"Ghoul alert." The first guy pointed out as the Ghouls prepare to strike.

"Grr. Stay here. This won't take long." The second guy said, I looked at him, he was such a grump, the Ghouls attack and he ffights them off. But the ogre knocks him out.

"Leave him alone!" I yelled, Stella and I blast him.

"Awesome shot there Twilight" stella smiled

"It just happened." I told her

"Like I said, you got Winx." Stella patted my shoulder

"Back off Shorty." The ogre roars the second guy wipes off the bloodstains on his face.

"You're the one who's gonna back off ogre, or I'm gonna put my Stinkus-Removus spell on you and you're gonna end up smelling like you just took a bath." Stella told him. The ogre backs off then vanishes "I knew that would scare him." I grinned. "Twilight, these are the RedFountain guys I was telling you about." They all said hi."Meet Riven..." The second guy glared at us. "...Prince Sky..."

"Hey." The brunette smiled

"...Timmy..."

Timmy gives a friendly hello, the blaster thing still in his hand.

"...And Brandon."

"How ya doin'?" the blonde one smiled, I blushed. Troll emerges from hole. Brandon puts a collar around its neck."Not so fast tough guy, you're coming with us."

"You've done enough damage for one day pal." Sky agreed. my parents watch what's happening.

"Where are you guys taking him?" I asked

"We'll bring him back to RedFountain. They'll probably send him to a creature preserve." Riven said

Brandon smiled and waved "So long." A portal opens.

"Bye." Timmy said

“Twilgiht, I sure hope I see you at Alfea." Brandon smiled

The next morning I went downstairs with my things packed.

"I'm ready dad." I said.

"Why do you have a suitcase?" Dad asked

"You know, just in case you guys say I can stay, then I'll be packed." I told him

"I know that you're way more grown up that we thought you were and that you have a special gift and all but we still have to check the school out. We have to get more information about Alfea." Dad said

"But if it's anything like Stella says it is, you'll be in for a wonderful adventure. It's so exciting." Mom smiled

"I know mom, it really is." I nodded

"Hey Stella, how do we get there? Car? Plane? Broomstick? Do they make a broomstick for four?" Dad asked, putting on his coat.

"Um, duh dad. Broomsticks are for witches." I told him.

"Oh yeah, that's right. So, what do you use Stella? Wait, don't tell me. Is it fairy dust? Ooo." Dad was getting excited by the idea of fairy dust.

"Are we gonna use the portal?" I asked

"Regular humans can't go in it, but you know what? My sceptre can handle a little trans-dimensional puddle jump like this. Sun Power!" Stella used her sceptre.

We warped through space and time and land right near the Alfea school.

"Wow. Would you look at this place." Dad gasped

"Pretty cool right?" I grinned

"With a capital C." Stella agreed with a nodded. We all headed towards the campus.

Bloom Chapter 1- Friendship is magic part 1

Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria, there were two regal sisters who ruled together, and created harmony for all the land. To do this, the eldest used her unicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn; the younger brought out the moon to begin the night. Thus, the two sisters maintained balance for their kingdom and their subjects, all the different types of ponies. But as time went on, the younger sister became resentful. The ponies relished and played in the day her elder sister brought forth, but shunned and slept through her beautiful night. One fateful day, the younger unicorn refused to lower the moon to make way for the dawn. The elder sister tried to reason with her, but the bitterness in the young one's heart had transformed her into a wicked mare of darkness: Nightmare Moon.

She vowed that she would shroud the land in eternal night. Reluctantly, the elder sister harnessed the most powerful magic known to pony kind: the Elements of Harmony. Using the magic of the Elements of Harmony, she defeated her younger sister, and banished her permanently in the moon. The elder sister took on responsibility...

...for both sun and moon...

“...and harmony has been maintained in Equestria for generations since. Hmm... Elements of Harmony. I know I've heard of those before... but where?” I looked up at the sky. I picked up the book with my magic and put it in my bag. I head back to the castle.

“ There you are, Bloom! Moondancer is having a little get-together in the west castle courtyard. You wanna come?” A another unicorn, Twinkleshine asked, she was with 2 other friends.

“ Oh, sorry, girls... I've got a lot of studying to catch up on.” I grinned and galloped off

“Does that pony do anything except study? I think she's more interested in books than friends.” I heard Twinkleshine say to her friends

“I know I've heard of the Elements of Harmony.” I muttered to myself. I burst into the library” Kiko! Ki-ko! Kiko?” I looked down and saw my dragon friend looking a little dazed. “ There you are. Quick, find me that old copy of Predictions and Prophecies.” I saw he had a gift “What's that for?”

“Well, it was a gift for Moondancer, but...” A teddy fell out when he picked it up.

“Oh Kiko, you know we don't have time for that sort of thing.” I sighed and began looking through the vast collection of books.

“But we're on a break!” Kiko muttered

“No, no, no... no, no, no!” I looked through all of them “Kiko!”

“It's over here!” Kiko waved the book, I levitated it over.

“ Ah!” I set it down on the table and began flicking through the book.” Elements, Elements, E, E, E... Aha! Elements of Harmony, see: Mare in the Moon?” I looked confused

“Mare in the Moon? But that's just an old ponies' tale.” Kiko was picking up the books.

“ Mare, mare... aha! The Mare in the Moon, myth from olden pony times. A powerful pony who wanted to rule Equestria, defeated by the Elements of Harmony and imprisoned in the moon. Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about nighttime eternal!” I gasped “Kiko! Do you know what this means?”

“No, whoa!” Kiko fell from the ladder, He landed on my back. “Ow.”

“ Take a note please, to the Princess.” I said as he got off my back

“Okie dokie.” Kiko got some paper and began to write

“My dearest teacher, my continuing studies of pony magic have led me to discover that we are on the precipice of disaster!”

“Hold on. Preci... preci...” I looked at Kiko

“ Threshold?”

“Threh...” Kiko looked at me

“Brink?” He looked confused.” Ugh, that something really bad is about to happen! For you see, the mythical Mare in the Moon is in fact Nightmare Moon, and she's about to return to Equestria, and bring with her eternal night! Something must be done to make sure this terrible prophecy does not come true. I await your quick response. Your faithful student, Bloom.” I said

“Bloom. Got it!” Kiko smiled

“ Great! Send it.” I nodded

“Now?” Kiko asked

“Of course!” I said

“Uh, I dunno, Bloom, Princess Celestia's a little busy getting ready for the Summer Sun Celebration. And it's like, the day after tomorrow.” Kiko said

“That's just it, Kiko. The day after tomorrow is the thousandth year of the Summer Sun Celebration! It's imperative that the Princess is told right away!” I told him

“ Impera... impera...” Kiko tried to write it.

“Important!” I yelled

“Okay, okay!” He sent it with his fire breath. “There, it's on its way. But I wouldn't hold your breath...”

“ Oh, I'm not worried, Kiko. The Princess trusts me completely. In all the years she's been my mentor she's never once doubted me.” I smiled, as if on que, a letter from the princess came. “ See? I knew she would want to take immediate action.”

Kiko cleared his throat “My dearest, most faithful student Bloom. You know that I value your diligence and that I trust you completely.”

“Mm-hm!” I smiled proudly

“ ...but you simply must stop reading those dusty old books!” Kiko said, I gasped.

A little while later, we were on our way to the place the summer sun celebration was taking place.

“My dear Bloom, there is more to a young pony's life than studying, so I'm sending you to supervise the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration in this year's location: Ponyville. And, I have an even more essential task for you to complete: make some friends!” I sighed “Look on the bright side, Bloom. The Princess arranged for you to stay in a library. Doesn't that make you happy?”

I took a deep breath. “Yes, yes it does. You know why? Because I'm right! I'll check on the preparations as fast as I can, then get to the library to find some proof of Nightmare Moon's return.”

“Then... when will you make friends, like the Princess said?” Kiko asked

“She said to check on preparations. I am her student, and I'll do my royal duty, but the fate of Equestria does not rest on me making friends.” I said, We land in ponyville, “ Thank you, sirs.” I thanked the guards

“ Maybe the ponies in Ponyville have interesting things to talk about. Come on, Bloom, just try!” Kiko said, a bright pink pony bound over to us.

“Um... hello?” I asked, The pony gasped and raced off. “Well, that was interesting all right.” Kiko gasped. We walked off

“Summer Sun Celebration official overseer's checklist. Number one, banquet preparations: Sweet Apple Acres.” Kiko read, we were at an apple farm.

“Yehaaw!” and orange pony with a cutie mark of 3 apples, kicked a tree, apples fell into baskets.”

“Let's get this over with... Good afternoon. My name is Twilight Sparkle-” I walked over to the pony.

“Well, howdy-doo, Miss Bloom, a pleasure makin' your acquaintance. I'm Applejack. We here at Sweet Apple Acres sure do like making new friends!” The pony began shaking my hoof.

“Friends? Actually, I-” I tried to speak, when she let go, my hoof was still going up and down, Kiko had to stop it.

“So, what can I do you for?” AppleJack asked

I cleared my throat “Well, I am in fact here to supervise preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration. And you're in charge of the food?”

“We sure as sugar are! Would you care to sample some?” AppleJack asked

“As long as it doesn't take too long...” I said, AppleJack rang a bell

“Soup's on, everypony!” She called. Before Kiko and I knew it, we were sat at a table surrounded by a large number of ponies. “Now, why don't I introduce y'all to the Apple family?”

“ Thanks, but I really need to hurry—“ I began

AppleJack clearly wasn’t listening “This here's Apple Fritter. Apple Bumpkin. Red Gala. Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Caramel Apple, Apple Strudel, Apple Tart, Baked Apples, Apple Brioche, Apple Cinnamon Crisp... [deep breath] Big McIntosh , Apple Bloom and Granny Smith. Up'n'attem, Granny Smith, we got guests.” An old pony woke up and hobbled over.

“Wha..? Soup's on? I'm up, here I come, ahm comin'...” She slowly join us.

“Why, I'd say you're already part of the family!” AppleJack smiled

“Okay, well, I can see the food situation is handled, so we'll be on our way.” I laughed nervously

“Aren't you gonna stay for brunch?” AppleBloom asked

“Sorry, but we have an awful lot to do...” I said The apple sighed sadly. “ ...fine.” They cheered

“Food's all taken care of, next is weather.” Kiko said a while later, we had left sweet apple acres

“ Ugh... I ate too much pie...” I groaned

“ Hmm, there's supposed to be a Pegasus pony named Rainbow Dash clearing the clouds.”

“Well, she's not doing a very good job, is she?” I looked up at the clouds in the sky. Someone flew into me. We landed in mud.

“Uh, 'scuse me?” A pegasus sniggered, I glared at her “ Lemme help you.” She flew off and go a cloud. She jumped on it, causing it to rain on me.”Oops, I guess I overdid it. Um, uh, how about this?” She flew around “My very own patented Rain-Blow Dry! No no. Don't thank me. You're quite welcome.” My mane was a complete mess, the pony and Kiko burst out laughing.

“Let me guess. You're Rainbow Dash.” I said

“The one and only. Why, you heard of me?” The Pegasus grinned

“ I heard you were supposed to be keeping the sky clear.” I sighed “ I'm Bloom, and the Princess sent me to check on the weather.”

“Yeah, yeah, that'll be a snap. I'll do it in a jiffy. Just as soon as I'm done practicing.” Rainbow said

“Practicing for what?” I asked

Rainbow Dash pointed at a poster. “The Wonderbolts! They're gonna perform at the Celebration tomorrow, and I'm gonna show 'em my stuff!”

“The Wonderbolts?” I repeated

“ Yep!”

“The most talented flyers in all of Equestria?”

“That's them!”

“ Pfft! Please. They'd never accept a Pegasus who can't even keep the sky clear for one measly day.”

“Hey, I could clear this sky in ten seconds flat.” Rainbow glared at me

“Prove it.” I grinned

“Loop the loop around, and wham! What'd I say? Ten. Seconds. Flat. I'd never leave Ponyville hanging.”I gasped, Rainbow had clear it in 10 secounds flat.” You should see the look on your face. Ha! You're a laugh, Bloom. I can't wait to hang out some more.”

“Wow, she's amazing!” Kiko said, than laughed at my mane. I growled. “ Wait! It's kinda pretty once you get used to it!”

We went into the town hall “ Decorations. Beautiful...” Kiko said

“Yes, the decor is coming along nicely. This ought'a be quick. I'll be at the library in no time. Beautiful indeed.” I smiled, it was glorious.

“Not the decor, her!” Kiko pointed to a white unicorn.

“No, no, no, oh! Goodness no.” She was going through ribbons, I approached her

“How are my spines? Are they straight?” Kiko asked

“Good afternoon—“ I began

“Just a moment, please! I'm 'in the zone', as it were.” She said “ Oh, yes! Sparkle always does the trick, does it not? Why, Rarity, you are a talent. Now, um, how can I help yo—“ She yelped “ Oh my stars, darling! Whatever happened to your coiffure?!”

“Oh, you mean my mane? Well, it's a long story. I'm just here to check on the decorations, and then I'll be out of your hair!” I smiled

“Out of my hair? What about your hair?!” She gasped

“Wait! Where are we going?! Help!” The unicorn pushed me forward

She took me to her shop, she was fruffing me up “No, no, uh-uh. Too green. Too yellow. Too poofy. Not poofy enough. Too frilly. Too... shiny. Now go on, my dear. You were telling me where you're from.”

“I've... been sent... from Canterlot... to—“ I gasped for breath

“Huh?” Rarity gasped “Canterlot?! Oh, I am so envious! The glamor, the sophistication! I have always dreamed of living there! I can't wait to hear all about it! We are gonna be the best of friends, you and I... Emeralds?! What was I thinking? Let me get you some rubies!” She trotted off

“Quick! Before she decides to dye my coat a new color!” I said and ran off.

She had got away

“Wasn't she wonderful?” Kiko sighed

“Focus, Casanova. What's next on the list?” I asked

“Oh, uh, music! It's the last one!” Kiko said, looking at his list

We saw a yellow Pegasus leading a birds song.

“ Oh my. Um, stop please, everyone, umm. Excuse me, sir? I mean, no offense, but your rhythm is just a teeny-tiny bit off. Now, follow me, please. A-one, a-two, a-one two three-“ The Pegasus said

“Hello?” I called, the Pegasus yelped and the birds flew off. “ Oh my, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to frighten your birds. I'm just here to check up on the music and it's sounding beautiful. “ there was a pause. “I am Bloom.” Another pause” What's your name?”

“ Um... I'm Fluttershy.” The Pegasus whispered

“ I'm sorry, what was that?” I asked

“Um... My name is Fluttershy.” She was even quieter.

“ Didn't quite catch that.” I said, she just squeaked. “Well, um, it looks like your birds are back, so I guess everything's in order. Keep up the good work!” I said, she just squeaked “ookay.” I re-joined Kiko “ Well, that was easy.

“A baby dragon!” The Pegasus gasped, she flew over, knocked me to the ground. “Oh, I've never seen a baby dragon before. He's sooo cute!”

“Well, well, well...!” Kiko was smug

“Oh my, he talks. I didn't know dragons could talk. That's just so incredibly wonderful I, I just don't even know what to say!” The Pegasus smiled

“Well, in that case we'd better be going.” I picked up Kiko with my magic and put him on my back and began to head to the library.

“Wait, wait! What's his name?” The pony followed

“I'm Kiko!” Kiko smiled

“Hi Kiko, I'm Fluttershy. Wow, a talking dragon! And what do dragons talk about?” Fluttershy asked

“Well, what do you wanna know?” Kiko looked at her.

“ Absolutely everything.” Fluttershy smiled, I groaned

“Well... I started out as a cute little purple and green egg...” Kiko began “ ...and that's the story of my whole entire life! Well, up until today. Do you wanna hear about today?”

“ Oh, yes, please!” Fluttershy nodded, I stopped.

“I am so sorry, how did we get here so fast? This is where I'm staying while in Ponyville and my poor baby dragon needs his sleep.” I said

“ No I don't-- whoa!” I knocked kiko of my back.

“ Aww, wook at dat, he's so sweepy he can't even keep his widdle bawance!” I smiled

“ Poor thing, you simply must get into bed...” Fluttershy picked him and flew him inside.

“Yes, yes, we'll get right on that. Well, g'night!” I pushed her out and closed the door.

“Huh. Rude much?”

“Sorry, Spike, but I have to convince the Princess that Nightmare Moon is coming, and we're running out of time! I just need to be alone so I can study without a bunch of crazy ponies trying to make friends all the time. Now, where's the light?” I looked around in the pitch black. A light switch on.

“ Surprise!” ponies cheered a kazoo blows. I stood half shocked, than groaned.

“Surprise!” The pink pony from early said “Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie, and I threw this party just for you! Were you surprised? Were ya? Were ya? Huh huh huh?”

“Very surprised. Libraries are supposed to be quiet.” I told her

“ Well, that's silly! What kind of welcome party would this be if it were quiet? I mean, duh, bo-ring! Y'see, I saw you when you first got here, remember? You were all "hello" and I was all , deep gasp, remember? Y'see I've never saw you before and if I've never saw you before that means you're new, 'cause I know everypony, and I mean everypony in Ponyville!” I groaned and walked over to a table with drinks. “ And if you're new, that meant you haven't met anyone yet, and if you haven't met anyone yet, you must not have any friends, and if you don't have any friends then you must be lonely, and that made me so sad, then I had an idea, and that's why I went [deep gasp]! I must throw a great big ginormous super-duper spectacular welcome party and invite everyone in Ponyville! See?” I poured myself a drink and began to drink. “And now you have lots and lots of friends” my mouth was on fire. I turned to the ponies, my eyes began to water.

“Are you all right, sugarcube?” AppleJack asked, my mane was like fire, then I stormed upstairs.

I lay in my bed, a pillow covering my ears.

“Hey Bloom! Pinkie Pie's starting "pin the tail on the pony"! Wanna play?” Kiko came up.

“No! All the ponies in this town are crazy! Do you know what time it is?!” I growled

“ It's the eve of the Summer Sun Celebration. Everypony has to stay up, or they'll miss the Princess raise the sun! You really should lighten up, Bloom. It's a party!” Kiko went back down. I mocked Kiko and the door closed.

“Ugh, here I thought I'd have time to learn about the Elements of Harmony but, silly me, all this ridiculous friend-making has kept me from it!” I spoke to myself, I picked up a book "Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about everlasting night." I looked up at the moon “ I hope the Princess was right... I hope it really is just an old ponytale...”

“C'mon, Bloom, it's time to watch the sunrise!” Kiko came back up.

Everypony gathered in the town hall. Kiko was on my back. Pinkie stood next to me.

“ Isn't this exciting? Are you excited, 'cause I'm excited, I've never been so excited-- well, except for the time that I saw you walking into town and I went [deep gasp] but I mean really, who can top that?” Pinkie smiled, there was a fanfare

“Fillies and gentlecolts, as mayor of Ponyville, it is my great pleasure to announce the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration!” Mayor mare said, ponies cheered “ In just a few moments, our town will witness the magic of the sunrise, and celebrate this, the longest day of the year! And now, it is my great honor to introduce to you the ruler of our land, the very pony who gives us the sun and the moon each and every day, the good, the wise, the bringer of harmony to all of Equestria...”

“Ready?” Fluttershy asked her birds

“ ...Princess Celestia!” Mayor mare smiled, the curtin was pulled, but Princess Celestia wasn’t there.

“Huh?” Rarity gasped. Ponies talked nervously.

“This can't be good.” I whispered

“Remain calm, Everypony, there must be a reasonable explanation!” Mayor mare called

“Ooh, ooh, I love guessing games! Is she hiding?” Pinkie asked

“She's gone!” Rarity said, everypony gasped

“Oooh, she’s good.” Pinkie said, than she yelped, a shadow pony appeared

“Oh no... Nightmare Moon!” I gasped Kiko gasped too.

“ Oh, my beloved subjects. It's been so long since I've seen your precious, little sun-loving faces.” Nightmare Moon said

“What did you do with our Princess?!” Rainbow yelled, she went to fly at Nightmare, but AppleJack halt on to her tail.

“Whoa there, Nelly...” AppleJack said, he voice muffled

“Why, am I not royal enough for you? Don't you know who I am?” Nightmare asked

“ Ooh, ooh, more guessing games! Um, Hokey Smokes! How about... Queen Meanie! No! Black Snooty, Black Snooty—“ AppleJack stuffed a cupcake into Pinkie’s mouth muffling her voice.

“Does my crown no longer count now that I have been imprisoned for a thousand years? Did you not recall the legend? Did you not see the signs?” Nightmare asked everypony

“ I did. And I know who you are. You're the Mare in the Moon – Nightmare Moon!” I said angrily. Ponies gasped.

“Well well well, somepony who remembers me. Then you also know why I'm here.” Nightmare asked me

“You're here to... to... .” I gulped shrinking back.

“ Remember this day, little ponies, for it was your last. From this moment forth, the night will last forever!” Nightmare laughed, thunder sound. I looked at Nightmare horrified. What now..?

Twilight chapter 2 - Better than high school

"There it is! The realm-renowned Alfea school!" Stella said, we stood on a hill looking down over it.

"It sure is pretty amazing!" Mom said

"It makes public school look totally lame-o!" I nodded

"Well, before we decide, why don't we go see what it's like." Mom suggested

"I'm so excited!" I smiled

"I wonder what their record is for college admissions?” Dad walked into something “ Oof! It's as if there's an invisible wall! I can't get through it!"

"No?” I feel the air, but found nothing “ Where is it? I can't feel anything. Whatever it was, it's gone now."

"Actually, there IS an invisible wall." Stella said, she hit a barrier with her magic

"But if it didn't stop me, why can't they get through?" I asked

"Simple: you're a magical being, my dear!” Stella smiled “ This barrier keeps non-magical beings out of Magix. Sorry, while I can't take you any further, I CAN show you the official Alfea slide globe! It comes complete with the school song!" She showed us. "So? What do you think?"

"I think Twilight's going to have a great year…" Mom said sadly

"Mom…" I said

"You'll have a wonderful time." Mom hugged me

"She sure will! I'll see to that!" Stella promised

"Spike, you keep an eye on her, okay?" Dad told my bunny

“Twilight, we should get going, you know, while the getting's good." Stella said

"I'll be fine, guys. Don't worry about me." I looked at mom and dad

"I'll send you back first class! Now just stand still… okay! Sun Power! “ She summons her sceptre. “Transportus Back Home-us!"

I waved as they vanished “Bye, guys! See ya!"

"It's time to make an entrance! A fabulous entrance is essential, 'dahling'." Stella grinned

"I'm not sure what you mean, 'dahling', but I'll try!" I smiled

"Okay, follow me! Just smile, slither, and swivel!" I followed her

"I'm nervous…" I said, I looked around at everyone already here.

"Relax, you're with me! Fairy school is like normal school, but we all have magic powers and better outfits!" Stella reassured me.

"I'm loving it already." I smiled

"Ick. You're definitely not gonna love her." Stella pointed to a scary looking woman

"Who's that? She looks scary." I asked

"Griselda, head of discipline” We headed to her. “She is scary, and in bad need of a makeover."

"First name and place of origin." Griselda asked a girl

"Uh, Elanor of Delona. I signed up online, I should be on the list." A girl said

"Hmmm, I don't see it. I don't see your name and you know what happens if you're not on the list, we turn you into-" Griselda began

"Into guano." Elanor said

"There you are: Elanor of Delona, you may come in." Griselda said

"Thank you." The girl went off

"NEXT!" Griselda called

"Oh no, I'm not gonna be on the list." I said, looking at Stella

"Fret not girlfriend, I got it all figured out. The princess of Vallisto was supposed to come here this year, but she's doing homeschooling instead." Stella said.She conjures up an envelope with a letter inside. : "She gave me a letter to give to the headmistress. I just won't give it to her and we'll be all set.” She rips up the letter. “No one here knows what she looks like so it's perfect."Stella throws the letter confetti in the air.

"So you want me to pretend to be this princess? I don't know, I hate lying." I said, Stella pushed me over to Griselda.

"Hey, we're not lying. We're just not telling all we know." Stella grinned "Long time no see, Ms. G!"

"Not long enough, Princess Stella! Not after the little incident last year! I don't know how your parents convinced the school board to take you back! It's beyond me." Griselda said

"They did donate that new computer lab." Stella smiled

"Who is your friend?" Griselda looked at me

"Princess Veranda of Vallisto." Stella said

"Let's see, I'll check the list.” She looked down the list “Yes, Veranda of Vallisto."

“Yeah, that's me." I smiled weakily

"You may come in." Griselda said

"Hey..." Stella grinned

"NEXT!" Griselda called

"Welcome to Alfea." Stella smiled

A while later we were standing in front of Griselda

"First things first, our code of behavior: the first rule is, you must follow all rules in the code of behavior! If you break the rules once, you will be turned into a frog. If you break the rules twice, your magic privileges will be suspended. And if you break the rules three times, you will be expelled, isn't that right, Princess Stella? Last year, she destroyed the potions laboratory with an unauthorized magic spell, which brings me to the second rule: no unsupervised magic at any time! A-hem!" She said

"You really did that?" I looked at Stella

"I was trying to create a new shade of pink!" Stella answered

"We believe discipline's the only way to prepare you for the world out there, which brings me to the third rule: stay away from the witches of Cloud Tower no matter what! We don't have a punishment for that, since nothing we could do would be as terrible as what THEY will do to you if they catch you there!" Griselda warned

We went inside, an old woman was waiting for us.

"Welcome all. I'm Miss Faragonda, your headmistress. I'm an Alfea alumna and a former fairy-godmother. This year we have quite a wonderful class. Some of you will fight evil, others will grant wishes and many are princesses that will take over your realms. Each of you is unique, you all have different sources of power, and diverse origins, but our mission is the same..." Faragonda said

"To help each of you be the very best you can be." Stella said along with Faragonda, I looked at her questionally. "She really loves saying that." She explained

"Naturally we expect you to do your best at all times." Faragonda told us.

"Now ladies, it's time to check in to your dormatories and meet your roommates." Griselda said

"Remember, everyone! Let's make this a great year! Oh! And of course use every opportunity to connect to your Winx!" Faragonda added

"It sounds like they prepare you for all kinds of stuff! You know what you're gonna be?" I asked Stella

"Duh! I'm gonna, like, rule the Kingdom of Solaria!" Stella said simply

"What did she mean 'connect to your Winx'?" I asked

"Winx is essentially three things. First, it's your source of power, as in your strength and energy. And second, it 's what guides you. Thirdly, it's like your magical identity." Stella explained

"I think I got it." I said

"You either got it or you don't, and you DO!" Stella told me “Our roommates. I hope they're more stylish than the ones I got last year. Of course I won't be bunking with any of them as I have a single." Stella opens the door and I checkout my room.

"This room is sweet. Come on, let's see what mine is like." I said, I enter the room and step on a vine.

"Owwww! That hurt." A plant said

"Wow, I'm sorry." I apologised.

"He's my latest creation." A girl came over

"He talks?" I asked

"He's cute, isn't he? My theory is that if more plants could talk, deforestation would be dramatically reduced. It's worth trying, if it just saves one tree. Hi I'm Flora." Flora smiled, she knocks over the plant. "Oopsie."

"Can't a plant get a break around here?" the plant said

"Sorry, honey." Flora said

"Anyway, I'm Twilight." I said

“Twilight.” Stella said

"Oh! uh, What I meant was Twilight is a name I like a lot but that's not my name. Actually uh my real name is uh “ I checked the sign on the door. “Veranda of uh, Valisto. Yup, that's me."

"Valisto: Fourth world of Magic Realms upper ring. Renowned for it's rich, artistic tradition. It's features are very popular with tourists." A girl came up behind us

"Right, that's where I'm from." I smiled

"Cool, my name is Tecna." The girl said

"Hey Tecna, I'm Stella. Nice to meet'cha." Stella smiled

"You are quite infamous." Tecna told her

"That's the word on the street.” Another girl came in “. Yo, if you plan to blow up more stuff, let us know ahead so we can bounce." Everyone but Stella laughs. “I’m Musa”

"It was in the name of fashion, I don't regret it." Stella said

"I'm curious. Were you actually able to create this new shade of pink?" Tecna asked

"No, but when I do it's gonna be the official color of Solaria." Stella smiled, we all heard something

"Eeeee." Spike wiggled around, he was being held by the plant.

"Bad plant! Put him down right now!" Flora said. The plant put down Spike down

"It's ok. It's not the plants fault.” I noticed that the plant had teeth marks on one of its vines. “ I'm betting that Spike tried to eat it. He likes his veggies."

"You hungry little bunny?” She sprinkles some seeds into a pot, carrots grew really quick. “Here, they're organic." Spike was happy.

"Speaking of food, I'm famished." Stella said

"Yeah, me too." Flora agreed

"I have a brilliant idea. What do you say we get outta here and go downtown for a pizza?" Stella suggested

"Great idea. Downtown Magix is so much fun." Flora smiled

"What is it like?" I asked

"It's fresh." Musa grinned

"You've never been?" Flora asked

"No, but, if we could grab a slice, I am so there." I smiled. We take the bus to magix

"So Veranda, you've never left your kingdom before?" Flora asked

"No, never." I said, at least I was being truth about that.

"Then prepare to be blown away." Flora smiled. We all get off. Tecna was behind me with her hands over my eyes.

"What do ya say? Can I open my eyes now?" I asked

“Yeah, go ahead, take a look." Tecna giggled. Tecna removes her hands from my eyes, I take in the landscape.

"Hmm." I said

"What do ya think?" Musa asked

"To be honest with you, I'm kinda disappointed. This is it? Capital of the realm of Magix, most enchanted city in the universe?" I admitted

"Well, what did ya expect?" Musa asked

"I don't know. Dragons, unicorns, rainbows, giants, flying brooms." I said, the girls sigh.

"But that's all fairy tale stuff. This is the real world. What's cool is that everyone here knows magic and unlike us, they get to use it for anything they want." Stella told me. I back away from a vehicle that almost ran me over. The vehicle is about to park. The driver uses magic to widen the space between to vehicles to make his own parking spot.

"That was cool." I smiled

“Yup, and so way better than valet." Stella said

"Time for pizza." Flora smiled

"Yeah, chow time. My stomach's growling." Musa said

"Mine too." Stella smiled, we went to get pizza

Whilst eating, I tried to call home, but I couldn’t and it was starting to bug me.

"What's wrong?" Flora asked

"My cell phone isn't working for some reason. I mean, it's not even getting a signal or anything." I told her

"Let me see it." Tecna said, I passed her my cell phone. "I love taking these things apart."

"Yo, what's so funny Tecna?" Musa asked

"This "Cell Phone" is ancient technology. It belongs in a museum." Tecna laughed

"But, it's the newest phone." I protested

“Er, yeah, on Earth.” Stella whispered.

"You need an inter-realm phone to call Valisto." Musa told me

"Right. There's one two blocks away. Use my card." Tecna gave me her card and I went to find the phone.

"Hello? Honey?" Mom answered

"Yeah, me again. Everything is still great. In fact it's just as great as when I called you from the dormatory two hours ago. Yes, hey mom, what if I just wait until tomorrow morning to call you again, would that be cool?” I saw the ogre. “ Uhhh, I kinda gotta go now.” I listened to my mom “Mo-om, I'm using my friends phone card so I really should go, but I love you and I'll call you back before I go to bed, ok? Bye." I took tecna’s card out of the phone and ran after the ogre

I duck out of sight, the ogre was with 3 girls. "Phew, that was a close one."

"She was wearing her Solaria ring." The ogre told them

"Good, we have to get that ring." The girl with long white hair grinned

"Hmmm? Ladies, I sense an intruder! I'll split and go take care of it!” one with brown hair creates a copy of herself. I sighed

"Move, you! I can't see! Come on!" I sighed

"Sometimes I forget how pretty I am!” The copy vanished

"Yeah, that's better…” I said, suddenly I was blasted into the ally.

"So I think the Earth girl was with her too, but there were other girls as well." The ogre said, I was blasted into the sight of the ogre and the other 2.

"Look what I found, girls!" the brunette said

“urgh…” I looked up at them.

"Well hello." The white hair one smiled

"Who are you?" I growled

"Who are we? We are witches from Cloud Tower!" she answered, I froze.

"And we're seniors! Nobody messes with senior witches!" the one who blasted me said

"But if you tell us where your friend, Stella, is, we MIGHT forgive you." The white hair one grinned

"Back off! I have magic power!” I watched as my spell failed.

"That poor girl barely has winx. That is just so sad. Here, let me show you what REAL magic looks like!” She attacks me “Join in, girls!"

"Witch-up time!" the brunette said. The one with messy hair summoned a tornado and hurling me into the air, I hang onto a roof for dear life.

"Get down here!” The ice powered witch hurled me to the ground. “ I hate to be a total witch about it, but I'm very quickly, running out of patience!" Suddenly I was trpped inside ice.

The next thing I know, Stella was warming me up. I was free , but freezing.

“It's okay! You could've survived at least another fifteen minutes in that ice. You know, considering you're from Earth and all, you did outstandingly splendidly, Twilight You were so brave!"

"Stella…” The other girls said

"Why did you just call her Twiligth and say that she's from Planet Earth?" Flora asked

"Oh! Uh… right… there might be some tiny minor details we need to fill you in on… look, I'll give you the whole scoop on our way to Alfea!" Stella said, I giggled nervously.

We got back really late.

"I think I wanna tell Miss Faragonda the truth." I said

"We'll talk about it later, for now just follow me." Stella said, We sneak in.

"FREEZE!” We stop, a light fell down on us. “Do you have any idea what time it is?"

"We were worried about you girls. Go to bed right away, and we'll have a talk about this tomorrow." Faragonda said

"Hold it right there, right now Princess Vee. What did you want to tell Miss. Faragonda?" Griselda asked

"R-right. W-well, I'm not Veranda and I'm not from Valisto." I stammered

"What?! You're not? You were lying to us?!" Griselda gasped

"I'm sorry." I said

"You have broken two rules in one day!" Griselda growled

"She did, but she must be a magical creature or the barrier would have kept her out of Magix. So tell me, who are you and why did you lie to us?" Faragonda asked

"Well, I uh-" I began

"Don't blame her, it was all my idea." Stella butted in

"It's ok Stella. My name's Twilight and I come from Earth." I looked at Faragonda

"From Earth as in Planet Earth? How could that be possible?" Griselda asked

"But please, don't send back home. I know I belong here, this is the most amazing place with the most awesome people ever." I begged

"Awww." The girls smiled

"Well you must be punished, turned into something slimy." Griselda said

"Hold on, it took a lot of courage for her to speak up as she did. I think we should give her a chance. We could let her stay and take Princess Veranda's spot." Faragonda told Griselda

"We could." Griselda said

"Now go to bed, and please try to be good." Faragonda told us

"Yes Ma'am! Wahoo!" The 5 of us cheered and laughed, as we went up to our dorm.

Prologue

Twilight's POV

I sat on the balcony of my castle, it had been 5 years. Life was easy and care free, it was exceeding boring. I watched the stars, Spike sat with me.

"Are you ok Twilight?" Spike asked

"All my friends have other jobs to do. I'm bored." I sighed. "I have nothing to do."

"That tends to happen after a few years." A voice said, I turned to see Princess Luna.

"Luna!" I said, a little surprised

"I have something that will give you excitement, but it is in the castle of the two sisters." Luna told me

"Is it a mirror to another universe?" I asked

"Yes, but one far, far from here. Celestia brought me a mirror, but I found it was another gate to a different universe. It is nothing like the others.” Luna said

“Let’s go and see Twilight!” Spike grinned, I rolled my eyes.

“Ok…” I nodded. We headed to the castle of the two sisters, and went through the magic mirror…

Bloom’s POV

I walked on to the balcony, holding Kiko. I was home at Sparks. Sky had not spoke to me in ages, he was too busy, as were all my friends.

“Bloom?” I turned and saw Daphne.

“Hi Daphne.” I said

“Are you ok?” She asked

“Just bored, Nothing to do.” I told her.

“I have just the thing!” Daphne smiled, she took me to her room, and grabbed my arm. I halt tightly to Kiko as Daphne pulled us through a mirror.

We were in a space like place. Daphne was talking to an alicorn of the darkest blue.

“Bloom this is Luna , an old friend of mine.” Daphne smiled.

“And Twilight this Daphne.” Luna smiled, I looked at smaller purple alicorn.

“I don’t understand.” I said

“Me neither.” Twilight agreed.

“You two are to switch places. Time will be reversed. Bloom you will take Twilight’s journey, and Twilight, you’ll take Bloom’s journey.” Daphne said.

“What’s the catch?” I asked
