Shining Armor headed across the street and noticed the oddest of sights exiting from Twilight’s castle. With a large grin plastered on his face, the immense red stallion shut the door to the house before running a hoof through his mane. His face was flustered something fierce.
“Hey, Big Mac!” Shining greeted, waving a hoof.
Any trace of a smile on Mac’s face shrunk to a thin line as he viewed the unicorn. A deeper shade of red bloomed in his cheeks while his eyes popped out comically.
Shining ignored this. “Did Twilight want to speak with you too? About the research she’s conducting?”
Big Mac scanned both ends of the streets anxiously. “Nope,” he muttered.
Shining furrowed his brow. “But I just saw you leave Twilight’s house.”
“Nope,” the stallion repeated, nodding in commitment.
Shining waited a moment, viewing Big Mac and then the towering castle only a few paces behind him. “You know the door to her house is in leg’s reach, right? Like directly behind you?”
