~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Chapter 1: TARDIS Troubles ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Doctor Whooves scrambled about the tardis, sonic screwdriver in hoof, trying to fix the console as it sputtered and sparked.
"Come on old girl!" he said, pulling a lever and turning a dial. The TARDIS whirred and creaked, almost speaking to the colt. "I know I know." he replied, running around the console. His chesmut brown mane flopped against his head and his green tie bounced as he ran around.
Off to the side, a grey pegasus mare watched as the doctor ran around frantically.
"Doctor! What's wrong with the TARDIS?" she asked, holding onto the railing for dear life. Her name was Ditzy Doo, although everyone called her Derpy Hooves, was the Doctor's current companion.
The Doctor galloped around and soon ran down to underneath the console, beginning to mess with the under workings of the Timelord Machine.
Meanwhile Ditzy, as she preferred to be called, watched the console as it beeped and purred, as lights flashed and the large cylinder in the middle moved up and down slowly. The lights were still flashing red when the Doctor trotted back upstairs, and they disappeared once he flicked a lever.
"There. All fixed." The Doctor said triumphantly, puffing out his chest in pride.
Ditzy giggled at the colt and walked around the large control panel, looking at all the various switches.
"Doctor?" she asked, stopping at a particular flashing red light. "Is this supposed to be flashing red?" she asked.
The Doctor trotted over to his assistant and looked as she pointed to a small red light, which was flashing rapidly.
"Oh no Ditzy, that just means that the TARDIS is caught in a time vortex." he said cooly.
It took them a moment to realize what that meant.
"Oh this isn't good! Ditzy, flip that lever when i tell you to." the colt said, running around and flipping levers and pressing buttons. "We have to stabilize the TARDIS before the time vortex rips her apart!" the Timepony said, dashing around in a panic. He sonicked a lever that was stuck and pulled it down with his mouth, and nodded at the grey mare as he did.
"OK Ditzy! NOW!" he yelled over the buzzing and whirring of the TARDIS.
The grey mare nodded and grabbed the lever with her teeth, trying to pull it, but it was stuck. She panicked and pulled harder, to no avail. Sparks flew from the machine and she tried once more, harder than before.
The TARDIS wheezed and groaned as the lever was pulled, and suddenly everything went black. The lights went out and the only thing that could be hear was the familiar whir of the TARDIS when it flew, as well as the ponies' breathing.
"That was....interesting." the Doctor said, panting. The sonic noise was heard and the lights soon came back on. "Well, crisis averted." the Timepony said, cheery after the almost accident.
The Doctor walked around the console, checking to see if everything was still in working order.
"Well, nothing seems to be broken." he said, holding his sonic firmly in his hoof. "Looks like were sitting ducks though. Until I can find out how to get us out, we're stuck in a Time slur." he said, looking to his assistant.
"What does that mean?" Ditzy asked.
The pegasus's question was answered by the creaking of the TARDIS, along with muffled voices.
"I swear you always get us into these messes." a familiar voice said, it was female for sure, and brought back memories for the time-pony. The Colt stopped as he stared at the doorway, hoof-steps getting closer. Or, he thought they were hoof-steps.
"Not my fault Pond. Your husband's the one who got us stuck." another familiar voice answered, one the Doctor hadn't heard in a while.
"Oy! I'm not the Timelord in this situation!" a third voice chimed in, making the Doctor smile.
The voices got louder as the things got closer, and the Doctor got anxious.
"Ditzy, things are about to get very interesting." the colt whispered, making the mare nervous. She walked over to his side and stood, watching the hallway leading deeper into the TARDIS.
Soon, three strange creatures walked out. They were a peach color and had long appendages. They walked on TWO legs, and had colorful fabric on them. On their appendages were stubby claws like Princess Twilight's baby dragon. Derpy watched the strange creature walk in, and the Doctor as he trotted happily to them.
"Ello! Long time no see Ponds!" he said happily, getting screams in reply.
The Doctor flattened his ears against his head and stumbled backwards, right into the console. He had forgotten he was a pony. Again.
"So sorry about that..." he said, rubbing his head with his hoof as the humans, and himself, stared at him.
"Doctor. What is THAT!?" Amy shreaked, hiding behind Rory.
The human Doctor, (lets just call him 11th ok?) gave the colt a strange look before kneeling.
"Hello..." he said slowly, his eyes narrowing on the colt with suspicion.
Doctor Whooves rolled his eyes and walked to the Timelord. It was strange seeing himself, but it made him happy. He nearly giggled trying to speak.
"Hello. I'm the Doctor." he said, waiting for the shocked expressions to come as he held out his hoof.
As if on cue, Amy reacted just as he knew she would, by barreling out from behind her husband and towards the colt.
"No your not! Your a horse! This is the doctor." she said, pointing to the man beside her.
Doctor Whooves smiled and pulled his sonic out from his TimePony pocket (don't ask) and turned it on. He then waited as the other Doctor did the same. They touched them together and the sonics sparked.
11 tucked his sonic away and stood up. "He's not lying. This is me, but i don't remember ever being a horse..."
"Pony."
"What?"
"I'm a pony. TimePony now. Oh! Where are my manners! Ditzy! Come meet my old companions and uh, me!" he said cheerfully, trotting over to behind the console where the mare had been hiding.
Ditzy stood slowly when she saw the chesnut colt walk to her, and grabbed his hoof when he held it out. They then slowly walked out, the Doctor smiling, Ditzy feeling shy.
"Wait- PAST companions?" Rory asked, watching the ponies.
Doctor Whooves nodded.
"Yes, Past companions. After I regenerated from my 11th form, the TARDIS kind of got stuck in a parallel world, we both know how that goes, and well, It was a pony world." he explained, hopping up onto his back legs to look at the console.
Amy looked at the 11th doctor with a confused look on her face.
"You mean your going to become.....That?" she asked, pointing to the colt.
"Hey! No need to be rude Pond!" Doctor Whooves replied, turning away from the machine. "Anyways, yes. And Ditzy Doo here is my companion." the Timepony said.
The 11th Doctor looked a little confused but somewhat pleased.
"Well, Doctor, mind helping me over here?" Doctor Whooves asked, motioning for the 11th Doctor to help him.
He walked over to the console with the other doctor and they began to talk and mess with the console as the companions were left to talk amongst each other.
"H-hello. I'm Ditzy Doo." Ditzy introduced herself, holding out her hoof to the creatures.
The redhead took it and shook it gently, her frown slowly becoming a soft smile.
"Amy. Amy Pond." she said, nudging Rory.
"Ow! Uh, Rory Williams." the man said, also shaking her hoof.
The three companions sat there for a few moments, not sure of what to say or do. They silence was thankfully interrupted by the groaning of the TARDIS. Ditzy sprang into action as she ran to the console, helping Doctor Whooves with levers, buttons, scans and screens.
"Ok well that's not good." Doctor Whooves said as he pressed a button.
"What's not good Doctor?" Ditzy asked, looking at a monitor.
"We've more visitors." the colt replied.
