I looked at myself in a nearby mirror. It was a stormy day in Ponyville and many things with the weather was going wrong. All because of hostile take overs on Equeastria. 4 element bearers had mysteriosly disappeared years ago and almost every villian possible had tried to take over. They were no match for the 3 alicorns, but everything they left could hardly ever be cleared. The pegasi couldn't control the weather as good as Rainbow Dash did. A lightning bolt struck the top of the boutique and frightened me. Applejack and Rarity came rushing in.
"Yall okay? We heard some lightning near ya." Applejack said.
"Yeah, I'm good. Just scared. About my new job, not the lightning." I replied, worriedly. I had taken up the job working as a night watch at Pinkie's pizzeria, as it was the only job opening I could find. There was a lot of rumors about that place.
The 4 element bearers, Twilight, Pinkie, Rainbow and Fluttershy, had disappeared there and no pony has seen them since. Rarity had told me about the constant disappearences of night watchers there and of course, tried to scare me out of it. But there was no going back. Unless I don't go. But then I'd get fined, and I don't have any bits left after buying my home.
That's being repossesed soon.
Rarity offered her house, but I told her about my new job and that it's good pay for a week. Applejack said she remembered the first time she went in there, it was the day of the disappearences. No pony knew who took them, but they did know, without them, the elements are useless, so everypony was once more, relying on the Princesses.
Applejack and Rarity became depressed. Their bestest friends were ponynapped and even killed and they did nothing to save them. They told the police everything they saw and everything they knew, but it opened up no more evidence. The case became cold and they stopped after the first ten years.
They both had suken eyes and they were both becoming weaker with age and depression. Applejack had even began starving herself, but her remaining friends talked her out of it. Since I was younger than them, I was only 6 years old at the time, now I'm 33. It seems so far away, yet so close.
Rarity was working on a security guard outfit for me and I thanked her.
"Darling, are you sure that you want to do this? You can always live here. I'll pay the fine?" Rarity said not looking up.
"Rarity, I'm sure, I'll be fine. It's only for a week." I said.
"Sugarcube, ponies don't survive a day there." Applejack said.
"I feel like my luck is going to arrive anytime soon. You know like when you have so much bad luck, you finally get some good luck. This is my good luck, I can feel it." I said.
"You also have your mother. She'll look after you." Rarity said, making a beautiful security outfit.
"Rarity, I'm not going to a fashion show." I said giggling.
"Yes, but I can't let you wear one of those horrid suits they gave you. Uck. Thinking about them makes me cringe." She finished the outfit and ushered me into the other room for me to change.
When I had finished changing, I looked at myself in a mirror and felt a swell of pride.
Let's hope I am lucky, and Mother's there with me.
I entered the room my friends were in and saw Rarity finishing making a security hat with my name on it. I had met the Mane six on my 5th birthday, the day of their disappearences. I was able to hang out with them until they disappeared. Then I left with Rarity and Applejack.
"Wow, yall got couple a hours yet till your shift starts, so lets head to the farm and get some pie and cider." Applejack proposed. We all nodded in agreement and headed out into the streets.
