Ingrid Raven Pie is a homicide investigator who prefers to work in the shadows. She has, since the beginning of her career, worked to put murdered ponies to rest by catching their killers. To the Equestrian Guard she is known as Rest In Peace, an unknown entity that has, for years, been solving cases from the shadows.

She had always avoided their capture throughout the years. But when letter arrives for her showing someone has discovered her identity, has asked her to track down ponies that had been disappearing form Canterlot's streets. Little does Ingrid know she will be thrust into the case of her career, an she will be forced to face the demons of a killer unlike any she's come across before.
