Vinyl Scratch. A famous DJ that has been to countless parties and get togethers. She knew what song would please the crowd and never had enough friends. She was a white unicorn with a blue uncombed mane, always on her head were a pair of purple tinted shades that hid her eyes away from the world.
She was just leaving yet another onr of her parties at a reasonable time of 10 pm. Vinyl would have stayed until the early hours of the morning, but had to leave early because of her exams. Now she was walking down a sidewalk in the early summer evening the only sound heard was her hooves gently taping the floor. Ahead of her a door opened and a grey earth pony with a charcoal mane steped out carrying a huge cello on her back.
Vinyl was too busy looking at the floor and listening to music to see the pony before it was too late. With a loud thud both ponies were on their butts and a broken cello on the ground. The DJ took off her headphones and looked back and forth between the two with a look of horror on her face but was partly obscured by the glasses. The earth pony was enraged and also a little sad that her prized celllo was in pieces in front of her. "HOW DARE YOU WALK INTO ME LIKE THAT." She screamed. "I expect you to pay full amount for it to be restored."
Without giving the unicorn any time to think she slapped a piece of paper in her face and stormed off not looking back. Still baffled by the situation Vinyl stood up and scratched her head looking around to see if somepony saw what happened. Not seeing anyone she sighed and looked at the paper. On it saidOctavia 5550745. "I guess I'm going to have have fun tomorrow." She said slowly walking towards her apartment.
The door loudly creaked as it was pushed open by a very angry pony. The lights were off as they always were, you could just make out a small bed below a window. She never let go of the paper while she walked back and when the wind picked up she only grasped it tighter. Vinyl sat on the bed with a frustrated sigh and typed the numbers in her phone. Not bothering to check it was right she threw it to the closest thing and fell asleep right there dreaming about the dreaded test in the day to come.
