We sell spatulas! And that's all!
Another morning in Ponyville. Twilight was discovering and learning more about her new castle (it's only a model). Today she discovered more about her new kitchen. It had most of the same stuff as any ordinary kitchen, like an oven, microwave, a fridge, cabinets, dishwasher, and most of the necessary utensils for eating and cooking. But there was only one thing missing, no spatula!
"Oh no!" gasped Twilight. "No spatula! I have everything else organized after learning all about this castle and yet there's no spatula anywhere! What am I going to do!"
Spike ran into the castle after getting the mail and saw Twilight in despair. "Yo Twilight! Y'all right? Are you still alive!?"
"I'm fine Spike, and yes I'm still alive!"
"Good. I got the mail this morning and then I heard screaming inside, what happened?"
"Well I was looking over the new kitchen, it had anything any old kitchen has, but there's no spatula anywhere!"
"That's what you were freaking out about." said Spike in a serious manner.
"Hey! A spatula is one of the most common kitchen cooking utensils! And I can't believe why this castle that sprung out of the ground doesn't have one!"
"Well why don't you just check the mail, it might calm you down."
"Alright, Spike. Let's take a look. One for you, another one for you, and another one for you, a bill, and a new magazine."
"What's in it?" asked Spike.
Twilight looked through the magazine with Spike. They found pools, horseshoes, facts about companies, until finally they came across an add for a new store on the other side of Ponyville called 'Spatula City!'
Twilight's eyes lit up with this news!
"This is where we can go to get a new spatula! And in a style of your choice!"
"But Twilight, we're not sure when they open yet."
"There's one way to find out!" said Twilight as she ran out the door.
As she walked through the town, everypony was just buying and gathering their much needed supplies from the various tents. Mostly fruits, vegetables, bread, and dairy. Nothing more important now than to get that new spatula.
She finally spotted the new building at the edge of Ponyville, "Spatula City! Spatula City!" To her surprise a lot of ponies were there as well, since it was the grand opening. Why would they need a new spatula? I don't know. As they walked in, ponies filled their bags, baskets, and even carts full of spatulas!
"Why would a pony need that many spatulas?" thought Twilight.
Like the ad said, it was a giant warehouse of spatulas for any occasion. Twilight saw a lot of spatulas for Hearth's Warming, Nightmare Night, and Hearts and Hooves Day! But the spatula Twilight thought of would be a simple purple (her favorite color obviously) with an easy magical grip.
"Wow! This place is so huge and crowded, it could take a while to find the one I'm looking for."
As she was walking through the various hallways, she bumped into Pinkie Pie.
"Hi Twilight!"
"Hey Pinkie! Why do you have a cartful of spatulas if you only need one for any kitchen?"
"Well, the Cakes needed a new spatula, so I was originally to only going to get one, but then I thought 'Hey! Why don't I get a few more than one so I don't have to keep coming back if one is broken or lost or stolen or misplaced!"
"Isn't that kind of unnecessary?" asked Twilight.
"You can't have too many spatulas!" sang Pinkie as she happily bounced away.
"She's just being Pinkie."
Twilight looked at every isle for the one spatula she described. As she was still looking for it, she bumped into a strange looking Pegasus pony with yellow fur with a few craters, short brown mane, rounder eyes with three eyelashes on each, square looking body, two large buck teeth, and had a peculiar outfit, a white shirt, red tie, and brown pants.
"Sorry, Princess Twilight." said the pony.
"You're fine. Say, do you know where a simple purple spatula would be?" asked Twilight.
"Oh! It's two isles to the left and purple is my favorite color!" he exclaimed. "I'm also looking for my own spatula."
"Really! That's my favorite color too! What kind of spatula are you looking for?"
"A hydrodynamic spatula with port and starboard attachments and turbo drive!"
"Wow. That sounds expensive. Why do you need such an expensive spatula?"
"Well my boss, Mr. Cheapskate, wants it so I could get hired as a fry cook at his restaurant 'The Brittle Bronco'."
"Ok. Say, what's your name?"
*beep* *beep* *beep* Went his digital watch.
"Oops! Gotta find that spatula soon! Nice talking to you, Twilight!"
"You to."
With that conversation done, Twilight went two isles to the left and she finally found the spatula she was looking for! She looked it over carefully, and finally said, "This is perfect!" So she then made her purchase of 4 bits for the purple spatula and made her way back to the castle. While walking, she noticed the restaurant that yellow stallion mentioned and saw a lot of minotaurs with happy faces charging out of the restaurant and back to their carts.
"Wow! That new spatula he got must have really saved his bosses restaurant. I might want to borrow it when there's another new threat."
She made it back to the castle and she thought she could test it out by making veggie burgers. But as she walked into the kitchen, she just flipped out!
"WHAT! Spike!"
"Yeah Twilight?"
"Why is there a new spatula when I just got one that looks exactly the same as the one I saw when I came in?!" asked Twilight panicking.
"Oh yeah! Apparently the castle was a late bloomer, so the spatula came a few minutes after you left." said Spike sheepishly.
Twilight, having to go to Spatula City then come back only to find that another spatula just randomly showed up! She went all rapidash up in her castle. She collapsed on the floor and just decided to lie there and take a nap deciding to live with two spatulas for now until she could figure out something tomorrow, or the next day, and the next day, and the next day, etc...
"Twilight! Are you still alive? Hello!"
