Luna And Celestia were good sisters. Until it was the day they decide who gets to be princess of Equestria. At this this their father is dead. Only leaving the two sisters with their mom. At the dinner table they fought and fought. Luna got outraged. So she left without being excused and went to her room, slamming the door. She cried and cried and cried and cried unto she fell asleep in her bed. When she woke up she thought she heard a voice. The room got darker as the shadow filled the room. Darker and darker. The window closed by its self and locked. The curtains closed suddenly. It was very dark now. She looked around frantically looking for what was causing this. She looked in front of her and saw 2 glowing eyes staring at her then disappear. They appeared again behind her. "Luna we are so much alike." Said the dark deep voice. She could see the outline of a pony now with the 2 eyes. "W-w-w-what are you?" cried Luna. "what am I? that's not important. What is though, is why I came here." said the spirit a bit to quickly. Luna suddenly got a little suspicious of this creature now in her room. "Then why did you come? To kill me?" Said Luna. The spirit  moved closer to Luna. She recognized the shape of the pony and voice, but she can't remember who had it. "No! No way! I need you! I mean equestria needs you." Said the creature again, once again a bit to quick.                She watched him move around the room up and down, side to side, in any angle. "I could be a hero?" Excitement rose in her voice. "Yes. But I need to be with you at all times." It said again, calming his voice. "Why?" she asked. "To insure safety." He replied. Its like he knew what Luna was about to say next. "Now do you promise to do whatever I say in order to save Equestria?" it said again. "Yes!" she replied proudly. "In order to save Equestria you must kill your sister." It said happily. "Wait what?" Luna replied in shock. "I didn't think you mean that!" "Celestia is a threat to equestria! Her ideas will not keep peace and order! YOU MUST KILL HER!" Luna sighed, she didn't like where this was going. "How do you know?"she asked like it was proof waiting to be given, well it was a truth waiting to be given! "Luna.. I come from the future." It said, she thought she detected a bit of lies in his voice but she decided to trust them. "you will need these." He said as his horn glowed and armor appeared in front of her. "She will be tuff to defeat." She put on the armor. "Now just one more thing.." he said, laughing evilly. He looked into her eyes and she looked into his. She felt their vision lock and she was stuck looking at him. She suddenly felt cold enter into her body and darkness. She felt herself lose control of her body, and whatever this thing was it was taking control of her body. She was overloaded with darkness. Suddenly The door unlocked, the blinds opened the windows unlocked and opened. The shadow left the room and everything returned to normal. "Luna and Nightmare Moon stayed on the moon for a long time. When they came home they had other secret plans. But that is a different story to tell." Read aloud Twilight. She closed the book. "What did you think?" "Cool!" said the same filly from earlier. They all started to cheer and clap. But that's when the clouds got dark and became a swirl. Everyone got scared real quick. They all saw the glowing eyes up in the clouds that were swirling around and around like a tornado.                                                                                              TO BE CONTINUED... //-------------------------------------------------------// The Basics //-------------------------------------------------------// The Basics        Twilight was on reading duty for the school. So she picked out her favorite legend and ran to the school house. It was recess by the time she came. "Come on Everypony!" Says Twilight. The Fillys gathered around her. "I'm going to tell you the legend of the dark spirits!" Said Twilight as she watch the crowd grow. She smiled. "I guess a lot of you like storys. So before you hear the story, lets talk about this monster." "What does it look like?" Says a filly who's mane was blue and fur black. "Excellent question! No pony really knows. There is more then one. So when you talk about what one looks like, give the name of it" replied Twilight. Another filly asked her, "What do you mean by that?" Twilight thought for a few minutes then responded, "You see dark spirits were once just like you and me. But when they lived they were Mean, or bad ponys. They did bad things. When they died instead of becoming light spirits, the kind you all know of, they became dark ones instead. So me or you could be one if we did bad things." Another filly asked her a question, "So bullys become dark spirits?" Twilight wasn't sure of her answer, "It depends on how much they bully. Even if they did bully a lot they would have to way more then that to become a dark spirit." One after another questions were thrown at her faster then she's ever had to answer. Finally she said, "Lets just let the book tell us." //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 2- whats happening to luna? //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 2- whats happening to luna? After meeting this spirit and it possessing her people didn't know what was happening to her. They asked if she was alright and she said she was. She had to keep this a secret. Everyday she felt more of her mind being washed in darkness, sadness and cold. She tried to keep control of the monster now living inside of her but she just couldn't. With it being in her she couldn't even control herself. She was all stealthy that day and lit the Ponyville town hall on fire causing lots of damage. She now realized what the real threats to equestria is: herself. Every crime was worse then the last. Luna knew it was only a matter of time before she assassinated Princess Celestia. She had a nightmare one night of instead of saying her real name she said her name was: nightmare moon and eventually the dark spirit DID start saying Luna's name was now nightmare moon. People started to fear her, thinking she was like those other evil ponys who were framed by these monsters. though nopony even knew about these horrible cruel monsters living in the pony mind. She could feel herself slipping. Everyday she lost more control of herself. There is only one pony in the world besides the ponys controlled by these monsters who know about dark spirits.  that Pony is Celestia. She read a book on mythical creatures. After a while Celestia thought she knew what was happening to Luna, but decided to wait for more proof. //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 3- nightmare moon. //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 3- nightmare moon. Luna knew that today would be the last day as a pony with control of this horrible monster. She braced herself for what's gonna happen next. She felt herself levitate the armor on herself. oh no! he's going to attack Celestia! before Luna even got to her room, Celestia knew the new, Nightmare Moon is coming to kill her. She practiced spells and fighting techniques. She hired somepony to act like a punching bag. Luna was loosing control of herself, when finally... she had none at all! Nightmare moon burst through the doors to Celestia's room on the tower, she killed guards as she went. "Sister.." said Celestia as she noticed Luna's eyes glowing. Nightmare moon charged a death spell and shot it at her. Celestia dodges it then fly straight at nightmare moon. She quickly rolls out of the way and holds her horn against Celestia. "Its over you will die Celestia!!" said Nightmare Moon. Luna watched the chaos. She didn't know what to do next. Besides she couldn't do anything about it. She was a pointless bystander. she watched them battle it out for hours, she found it hard to believe she was doing this when she watched herself attack Celestia. She suddenly gained enough control to talk. "Celestia! Help!" says Luna, finally out of her own mouth. "I knew it. Its a dark spirit isn't it?" asked Celestia. "Ya!" I suddenly pick here up and throw her into a wall. Rubble falls on her and she's buried in fallen building materials. Luna had no idea how she got out alive. Celestia dived straight at nightmare moon, who upper cutted her out the window. Celestia knew what she had to do as soon as she hit the cement. She gathered the elements of harmony and became a huge glowing ball of light. "Luna! Your punishment for listening to this beast is to travel with it to the moon!" said Celestia as she fired the big beam of light at nightmare moon.
